Cady is a great bird dog. Can’t beat a GSP for upland hunting. I trained and hunted my boy, Ruger, for 11 awesome seasons. He was my first personal hunting dog and will forever be the one all others are judged. He had an incredible nose and unending drive to hunt and do his job. My boy passed away this September. Hardest loss I ever faced. He gave me such pride when hunting over him and along with other dogs. He was the master. Forever missed. ❤ Hunt ‘em hard, they love it as much as we do.
Thank you! We're working on some things but she's a pretty good bird dog and an even better house dog. Sorry to hear about Ruger...they definitely hold a special place in your heart.

Dude you and your dog were really good....im.sick of peaple with stupid comments. I've been training my gsp we have hunted week 1 first time ever. People aren't aware how much work it is to bring your pup to that level....great job! Soak it in!
Appreciate that! We're definitely working on some things but at the end of the day we get a few birds and have fun. Not always pretty but the people who complain can watch another channel....I have a day job 😂

Thanks for watching! I've got the Carlson's extended choke tubes. I change mine out quite a bit depending on the wind/ type of hunting I'm doing so the extended design comes in handy. If conditions are prime for close flushes, I'll run the CYL and IC. When it's windy or hunting with group I run IC/MOD or IC/FULL.

I bought the beretta hat I wear on Amazon and the GSP gray/ orange hat as a gift. I'm pretty sure it's from Swamp Cracker Outfitters.
So great to have a dog for hunting. You should take more time to adjust your first shot and be more precise as the bird is at a short distance and the pattern of shots does not have much radius.
Appreciate the feedback and agree i couldnt do it without the pup! I always tell myself to hold off a few yards before popping off the first shot, then the adrenaline hits...
@@aboutdoors262 I know. When you start hunting grouse you just get startled and freeze, then after a while you learn to shoot but too fast. Then you control your emotion and you wait until the aim is exactly on the bird. The trick is to practice often so you get fast at aiming precisely and not just pointing in the general direction. Hunting grouse is the best long zen exercice as you have to stop thinking, only feel, see, listen and react with control. I am a deep thinker and hunting grouse helped me a lot to get balanced and learn to stop thinking and instead feel. It is a meditation with rewards. ;^D

Thanks for watching! These are pretty much all stocked birds I hunt in southeast WI. This place in particular allows either sex bird.

Opening weekend was one bird Saturday and Sunday. If it wasn't then I left a bird on the table each day😂
Need to watch English pheasant hunting stop shooting them up the ares from 10 yards 🥴
