Handloaded 240gr XTP with 24.3 gr H110. Have taken a few deer with these between 15 and 80 yards and they do pretty well!

Good to know, I just ordered some factory XTP’s to try in my super Blackhawk, the leverevolutions were all over the place

I wish, they would be way easier to find that way! The beeping is my dog's collar - it let's me know where she is/ when she is on point. It also helps when hunting crowded areas.

1st, go outside. 2nd, spend time outside, hours & hours. 3rd. Read books on game animal habits and foot prints 4th take a hunters safety course 5th buy a shotgun 6th put 1 thru 5 together and your hunting. Not hard, not difficult. Also, join a local sportsman's club or local chapter like Ducks unlimited or Pheasants Forever.

Thanks for watching! I've got the Carlson's extended choke tubes. I change mine out quite a bit depending on the wind/ type of hunting I'm doing so the extended design comes in handy. If conditions are prime for close flushes, I'll run the CYL and IC. When it's windy or hunting with group I run IC/MOD or IC/FULL.

They really are nice - thanks for watching! Where I hunt the birds are mostly planted and hold pretty tight for some close flushes (and good video). When I'm hunting alone I tend to run skeet or even cylinder/ improved cylinder or improved cylinder/ modified if it's really windy. I almost always use 6 shot but will go down to 5 or even 4 when hunting with a group and shots tend to stretch out a bit. I'm not particular on lead vs steel but early season I'll use steel when there are a few woodcock around.
