Apparently James didn't get the "everybody use purple instruments" memo
I don't think he knows what "purple" means.
@@slulzspot7583 lmao jaymez is the new james
He has a purple guitar, but only for St. Anger stuff
He does have a purple explorer
He's too cool to match instruments
Everyone: James can't scream like kill 'em all any more
James: Hold my beers.
Quad Score his odouls now lol
*tea
best vocals since '98/'99 years
@@khall187 apparently it really were beers :(
lol
I'm glad that Metallica DOES NOT forget the old songs that are far THE BEST OF METAL HEAVY ... and I'm glad that when James Hetfield interprets them, he regains that unique voice that made Metallica a legendary
I would prefer everything up to the black album is the best era of Metallica in my opinion
But they are omitting the greatest part of the song in here...the bridge with the astonishing solo...
They just forgot to play one of the greatest solos of all time, man, I'd be so pissed if I saw them and there actually played four horseman and didn't play the 1st solo, I'm guessing they getting to old?
soo right the old songs in my opinion are the best
ouch@@malourocha9211
He's not young anymore. But James still did a great job singing this song.
I agree
Yeah
Nice pfp
Nice tatas 😉
Upvote for those ebony hamhockers
Damn, his voice has absolutely no business sounding this good at that age.
WTF.
Long live Papa Het!
His voice has gotten better love their early stuff but Hetfields voice in the early days was rough imo
Habla bien bruto
James' vocals sound so good and aggressive
Just awesome
Hodor!
Not really
Hodor Hodor
Idk man, is a weird technique to me. It sounds constricted and could actually damage his natural tone if he uses it too much.
Sadly😢 you're wrong
Man what a powerful voice he’s got these past months
for some reason he only got that voice back on this song. the rest have been pretty shit compared to 1989 binge and purge. this felt more like that time then
@@crazy__cripple8704 1989 was his best year ever!! Seattle was epic! such power
you mean the voice that cracks like crazy every time he tries to sing in a higher pitch?
@@alex-oo6os yup I totally agree with you but this time he didn't do it nearly as much.
Crazy_ _Cripple well you can’t compare him now to his old performances, especially Seattle 89 that shit is untouchable
The great power of mustache brought back Hetfield's voice. Never shave it again Jaymz! 🧔
True, but he would look better with his side beard
So true
@@nico.ch029 i wish he has the original S&M look again, he already has the hair, the mustache makes him look older
@@omarsolom made he look badass
James has gone from “Oh honey, you can sleep over at his house, just let me know where you are so I know you’re safe” to “You better have my daughter back home by 9 or I’ll find you.”
His voice is wayyyyyyy better than early 2010’s or 2000’s
Haa bhai ikr
One of the greatest comeback in Metal history tbh
in the tour of 2009 his voice was amazing
but than in 1980, in this song? =)
2019 was the best year for James since 1992
Man, those “chose your fate to die” vocals sounded amazing
It honestly sounds like pig squeaks
Hell yeah, I love seeing the ESP Man to Wolf Explorer getting some live action again!

Me too, the last year i asking to my self; what happen with that guitar.
90’s\m/
Best day of my life, the way they performed, was amazing.
Yeah, but there was a awful lot of drunks in the crowd. The number of times I was bumped into, tackled and hit is also amazing.
old school metal style
Damo Walsh I understand that, but some dudes were just down right disrespectful to the others. Right around when they started The Four Horsemen a giant 300 lbs mf just pushed me, said that I was too close to him, got a lot of shit from the dude in front of me, but it wasn’t my fault. Shit like that has ruined my experience
@@supermastater unfortunately that is modern day society not at all like things used to be back in the 90's b4 this new millennium shit started, don't let those fuckers ruin an experience so go again to Metallica or maiden gig n enjoy while the best in the business are still on the road
Damo Walsh how did you turn a story about one dick in the pit into a generalisation about the millennium? At least he/she wasn’t raped or beaten.. that shit absolutely happened in the 90’s, 80’s *and* even 70’s...
That "haha" from 3:31 means: "haha I know you all are waiting to hear the Sweet Home Alabama part but we won't play it"
It looks like they never play that part live... Any reason ? I hope this is not because they don't want to pay anything to the original songwriter (after all, they often play cover songs)
@@pehache2 maybe because it's mustaine's composition? idk
@@pehache2 they said they don't play it anymore beacuse they think it kills the mood of the song beacuse then it goes thrashy-slow-thrashy

Metallica, especially James got so much better live than a few years before.
Armand Klink
See the cliff em all version....they were just as powerfull then . Add the fact that it was 30 years ago and a much more raw power ,and even more so due to the actual presence of Cliff Burton. .
I think so. This clip looks/sounds better than most from the prev years
@@Storiaron I got to see them in their Death Magnetic tour and 1 year ago. Even this 1 year is a huge jump in their sound, its pretty noticable. James uses way more agressive singing, guitar tone got better (at least to my ears, it sounds better than before) and even Lars' parts got better. I look forward to see them again in the future if they continue to get better.
metallica is great live i think maybe they found better gear to use
The metal hammer fest footage from 85 was the best on yhe whole tape....it was the only pro shot footage , the rest was straight bootleg I think.Still nevertheless the loudest live band ever, especially in a stadium. Saw em in 98 at a nascar track out side of st.louis. They did a 5 song block of misfits covers...you could probably discernably make out the song 20 eyes for a 5 mile radius....def one of the best live shows ever ....I could see how wear and tear would effect that...but as stated in whiplash nearly 40 years ...never quit, never stop, ....cause were Metallica.
Excellent vocals....even back in the 80s he was skipping all the high notes, now he’s just belting them out like on the record
Frank Schrodinger wonder if he is getting vocal coaching again like he did for Black Album? Either way he sounds amazing.
S&M 2 coming up so yeah probably...
But in the 80's they didnt tune everything down by a half step..they started that in the 90's due to his lack of hitting the high notes :D

James’ voice gets better and better as the years go on. It’s always been great but wow he sounds amazing here!
James is performing a new improved version of his 90's voice! Metallica's sound ever loud and perfect! This version of Four Horsemen has a better and heaviest guitars sound than the original! Awesome!!
Unfortunately lars is too old and can no longer keep up now neither can kirk half the time

@@HerotsLament Jimmy Page played sloppy and everyone fucking loves him, Wahmett plays sloppy sometimes and everyone loses their minds.
Nicko McBrain speeds up the tempo all the time (mid song) and everyone loves him, Lars does it and everyone loses their minds.
In conclusion it's only wrong if Metallica does it.
