My late Mother always played and loved Gordon Lightfoot and as a young boy his music always filled our home. I think of her every time I hear his music and I’m so glad I grew up listening to it. An amazing songwriter, artist and very special man.
I had the pleasure of seeing Gordy in concert 4 times and the honor of meeting him backstage after one of those performances in Sault Ste Marie, Mi. in 1998. To shake hands with the legend behind so many classic songs was something I'll remember always. What a gentleman. "The Watchman's Gone.......His legend lives on from the Chippewa on down".............Forever. RIP Gordy. Larry J. Joswiak, Saginaw, Mi.
Gord opened with this song the only time I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing him live (6/15/2018 in Greensburg, PA). The voice from 45 years ago may be long gone but his passion for what he does is unmatched, he puts on an amazing show and I’m so glad I got to see him perform that night.
Saw him perform this one in Lincoln, NE... Brought me to tears, much to my date's bemusement. Gordon is a true poet, his music can truly touch one's soul.
Saw him in Charlottesville just a few years ago. Surprised just how great he sounded, so focused concentrating on every note, and so friendly to the aging audience too. Will never forget it and so glad I went
A magnificent song. I always had it going through my mind whilst on adventures great or small. If you find me feeding daisies Please turn my face up to the sky. Thanks, Gordon.
And it's interesting how he circumvents the few notes that he can't quite hit anymore, and actually make the tune more interesting in the process. Nice performances.

I love this man’s music more than almost any other. I know you understand.
I Certainly, do. I liked his rearranging of the music here. It worked, beautifully. 🕊
Completely.
The brilliant Rick Haynes on bass........
Best Lightfoot song of all time. Each chord is strum to perfection 👌

Was there! awesome concert
Just so full of amazing vibes....like fine wine.
His voice actually sounds stronger in this recording than most performances he's done in the last 10 or so years. Superb! :)

Love this song! So underrated
me too
I read where he was performing here. MA was my home from early 70’s to mid 90’s. I saw Gordon play at Symphony Hall and Tanglewood.
Kicking myself! Should have seen him when he rolled through Beverly Hills last year. Yeeeesh! What a freakin' master!
Wow... he's GREAT... a treasure!
Great stuff! What a talent he is!
A great song..
Rick Haynes impresses here
Yeah
Rip
The greatest contemporary singer songwriter ...sadly is voice is lost, cudos to him to keep trying. His voice back in the 70’s was unmatched...
poor man lost his singing voice. he's still a living legend
His voice is there, it's just a voice with experience :-)
@@gilliandelledonne4713 I met Gordon lightfoot two times I post videos of him on my UA-cam channel go watch and subscribe and like it please
Show some respect pls.
Gordon ain’t playing that guitar, and if he is it’s pretty much muted. But I could still give him a big kiss! ❤️
