Are the SILHOUETTE Combos in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Good?

- In the loading screens for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Nintendo put certain characters on certain kart combos. Is there any reason why they did this? Are these combos better than other combos? Well in this video, I go through all 15 silhouette combos and find out which ones are actually good!

Honestly? Unless you picked a perfect storm of bad parts or you're playing with people of exact same skill, too much happens in a race for kart builds to mean much.
watching these lower vr rooms is like another world, seeing a sunset wilds race and not a single person bagging is crazy
@@benb4192 Lol I know. I was expecting the worst in Riverside Park but they didn’t do anything. I wish I played online back in the day because now my VR is so low but that’s okay I’ll get up there soon enough!

it was so weird seeing almost nobody going for the dk summit double cut. reminds me of when i could barely do it myself, now for better or for worse, i have to time trial all these tracks so i can compete

Definitely an aesthetic thing over stat thing - surprised peach didn’t have the cat kart (don’t know what it’s called) or the horse and carriage one they gave to toadette
the cat kart is called the cat cruiser which has the same stats as the teddy buggy and the horse and carriage is the prancer
@@melissadutton1621 I thought the same thing! The bandwagon doesn’t fit her too well in my mind but Nintendo knows best 🤷
the prancer is quite literally the royalty kart, with the carriage design and horse power, and it's internally referred to as "Pch" so it's also literally Peach's kart in this game
- personally, i like its stats as well, with a good mix of ground speed and handling proving useful for 200cc (the better cc)
The cat kart was actually dlc in og 8

I think they just made the combos that the character fit if you notice most of the time nintendo associated a kart to a character in this game like Mach 8 with Luigi

a tip for when you're on a low handling kart is to use hopping, you can do a 180 in less than half the time

I’ve never really given all too much thought to the loading screen silhouettes before, definitely an interesting video.
I also found out that the blue lights that appear on the back of the badwagon during anti-grav change colors based on the turbo.

I really liked the attention to detail in this video, the bonk sound every time you hit the road, the colours of the numbers representing each character when you were talking about the stats of the combos, really good and original video keep the good work mate

A good tip for when you're in first and you get a coin, hold on to it! It gives a tiny boost of speed that can help you recover if you get hit, and it guarantees that your second slot will be an item and not another coin. Also it's good fodder against boos who might steal a super horn or green shell when it matters

I’m also going to do the combos from the trailers (there are a lot of characters shown) and even the Mario Movie combos. I’ve got lots of ideas with not a lot of time to make them. *Technically,* any combo is viable. It all comes down to items thrown in the map.
I like it when a game straight up doesn't have an "F" tier for stuff, cause it means all options a good, it just means some are more viable than others.

Need a video where you use a combo of every kart that has the highest of a certain attribute. Eg. Highest acceleration kart,highest traction kart etc

I think some combos avg placement was affected by skill per track so doing 3 or 4 races instead would be slightly more accurate but still great vid
