Oh, btw. GT just recently put up a vid on 6mm ARC. It's intended to get "large frame performance" out of a small frame rifle. It's kinda nutty, especially out of a rifle based on a Mk12 SPR setup.

From what I’ve observed from all the combat footage on UA-cam in most militaries you use semi auto 98% of the time, I’ve even seen marines go semi auto and immediately flip the safety on as soon as they finish letting off a burst, just muscle memory. I can’t think off the top of my head of a single instance in footage where a soldier just goes full auto with his rifle. so if you get hit for sure it’s gonna be multiple rounds, but it’s also not gonna be from one man, it’s gonna be from a whole squad plus bigger rounds from MGs. Just in reference to yarddog. Also in reference to homie talking about troops patrolling with their rifle on semi auto, SOP would be safety on until you make contact. Even then like I said some boys by muscle memory switch back to safe between firing.
To the point of marksman, that’s one role people figured this would take. A gun for the squad marksman since they were saying this won’t replace every M4 in inventory. They might change their mind though, current marksman rifle is M110K, a HK 417 made for the army. Marines use a DMR variant of the M27, their version of the HK 416
Yeah, .277 is kinda scary. GT had recently put out a kinda follow up to this where he gets hands on with the shorty version of the M7 that's supposedly in trials to replace the MK18.
