Dude the turbo noise out of the exhaust is so nice. I know it's probably hard being away from home all the time but damn does this look like fun. Great work as always. AND it's great to have friends like Kyle. He's super smart!

So excited to see the subie back, but 2 things are bugging me. 1. Going from front mount to top mount(makes no sense performance wise) and 2. Going back to a plastic intake manifold... for the same reason when you had the nice red one before
like i said in the video. We are using all MAP parts. unfortunately they dont make a FMIC. The BRZ intake manifold only works with a FMIC. Performance wise, it's not that big of a deal. I dont track this car and the gains on street driving are minimal. In the future i will most likely switch to my previous set up. For now, this is just fine.
TMIC is better under 450WHP. The biggest issue is not having an STi transmission. It’s basically mandatory at this level and I don’t understand why it isn’t being included in this “dream” build.

Currently stock engine, j-pipe, and tmic, but I have the same turbo and almost identical mods to your old build except for the fmic and jpipe. I completely understand why you decided to go TMIC due to CARB laws, I’m have similar issues in NC with emissions laws. Much easier to toss the TGV’s back on and run it being CARB legal rather than fighting it. Best of luck on the dyno! Can’t wait to see more content! I’ll be up at Laguna Seca for the IndyCar race if you’ll be up there again this year.

No offense to any other builds because I am a huge Honda geek myself but I own a 2013 Hatch STI and it’s good to see some scooby content back on here! Lots of questions I see about your setup and everyone is making solid points but I understand why you made this decision for now and how unique this build is. Sur is obviously not going for big power but more of a daily setup where it’s affordable for most watching these type of contents. Makes sense if you ask me and makes that scooby more unique. Good shit Dut.

Love to see the WRX back! Any reason why you're breaking in with full synthetic though? I've just gone through a new engine break-in as well, and IAG is very specific on using conventional oil to break in the engine until 3,000 miles (after a first start, 50mi, 500mi and 1500mi change interval), so it can properly break in the rings and other surfaces. With the air setup, def hit up Bagriders and see if they can help out out once the car gets back to Cali! Randy might be able to help you out, he got the plug on his Japan Ferrari.
Do a "Parish" Truck. From my hometown of Omaha,NE and one of the O.G.'s of 1320, Parish's Truck was a legendary 1200-1400whp beast that looked completely stock. Dustin you're killing it with the WRX build, sorry about the air suspension. The sound of your new WRX build is beastly. I can't wait to see it on the track.

I'm running a process west intake manifold for the port injection, Ive noticed that youre planning on doing port injection, which manifold are you going to run? Also are you doing a piggy back to control the port injectors or Motec? I'm running MoTeC for it for a few obvious reasons (I don't live in California). Loving the WRX content! Keep it coming!

I have an ACT HDSS clutch in my car with the BRZ flywheel, LOOOVE how loud it is. The clutch chatter sounds just like forza when you fully upgrade the transmission😂 also my TOB was squeaky too, it happens for the first hundred or so miles and it’ll slowly go away
