I’m so so happy you are filming in Kobe. My son moved there from USA in April, 2022. I was curious what type of city he lived in. And yes; it is so beautiful and I feel better knowing it is such a lovely & charming city! Thank you so much! 😊

"Denim jeans have three weight categories. Lightweight jeans are less than 12 ounces. Midweight jeans are between 12-15 ounces. Heavyweight jeans are 16 ounces and over." When your hiking every ounce counts. Plus cotton holds on to moisture and doesn't wick it away from the body. Think about light synthetic clothing. It can reduce your carry and help to not heat you up. I always think about what I would recommend when I see you guys doing some real hiking. Also take more breaks on steep inclines and protect your knees on downhills they can beat your knees down bad. Hiking sticks are good because now you can walk and pull up hill, cross rocks more safely and save knees on downhills. They help use upper body strength and your legs together like a railing on stairs. Anyway this is the kind of hiking junk we did here in California because it's crazy hot and dry in the national parks here. You always need to pack in water and stuff. I had a bunch of UV Columbia clothing gear I used and a big rimed hat, hiking poles and a hydration pack. It made a big difference. Anyway think about it.

Such a beautiful city with its mix of old and new, Eastern and Western architecture, and gorgeous natural setting. For me, living among mountains/hills overlooking the ocean is the _best!_ I'd love to see a video where you explore that district of the city in more depth--there's so much to see! Maybe next trip to Kobe.
And, please, Shinichi, don't ever apologize for taking some private time for you and Satoshi to enjoy a meal together--or anything, for that matter. I think your subscribers would all be happy with fewer videos if it meant you and Satoshi could have more peace and quiet and relaxing times. I know I would. Love to you both. 💜💜

Thanks for taking me along on your walking trip with Satoshi. I’ll definitely visit Kobe soon. PS: I’m surprised that it would get warm in April there.

We visited that area in Kobe. Very nice and the history is interesting. I love the different Starbucks around Japan. This one is one of my favorites.

Kobe was one of the places I wanted to see because of the western style architecture. We only drove through on a bus on the way to somewhere else. The parts of Kobe we saw was beautiful. Thank you hiking up there to see the houses there.
When we travel, we wash our clothes in the room when we are staying there more than one night. If we're lucky, there is a laundry room we can use. Or like, we buy clothes along the way. Carry some travel packets of detergent.
Please take care and carry a bottle with you. It's getting warmer.

Wonderful walk in Kobe. Thanks guys! I heard the Blue Bottle coffee shop is the nicest Blue Bottle in Japan. Now, I want to visit Kobe and go to coffee shops and see local architecture! Kobe reminds me of Castro district or Sausalito, San Francisco

I used to live in San Francisco. I think there's something about the quality of the sunlight and the hilly streets...definitely reminds of San Fran. Looks lovely. What an inviting city. I could see living there very happily.

Wow! Kobe is such a beautiful city! I visited, what, 8 years ago now, but just for a single evening for some Kobe beef. We had a morning in Hiroshima, then took a Shinkansen to Kobe for dinner, and stayed in Kyoto, so it was definitely a quick stop, and we didn't get to see the sights there as much. I definitely want to revisit the Osaka/Kansai area since Super Nintendo World opened in USJ, but I definitely want to add more Kobe stops next time.

Kobe looks lovely :) I should try to visit it next time I'm in the country. The mixture of western and japanese architecture is really interesting!
Also it was great to get to know the date of the trip - it helps to put what we see in perspective

If it's too hot, you need to stop and go to a shade and drink plenty of water so you wouldn't be sunstroke or heatstroke. We went riding on cable car called Shin Kobe Ropeway which is located right next to the Shin Kobe Station. So nice at the top and passed waterfalls, Herb Gardens greenhouses, there's great vatious roses and flowers grown, even has Perfume Museum featuring Japanese perfume Kenzo. It's so nice up there and cool after the July hot sun we were exposed, while eating vool drinks and foods from refreshment stores there. Kobe was one of the cities to open for trade with the West following the 1853 end of the policy of seclusion and has since been known as a cosmopolitan and nuclear-free zone port city, now with many foreign companies. So the structures and ambiance of the city catered to foreign residents with the Kobe Foreign Settlement, the Bund, Kitano area, etc.

I'd like to try one of those A5 lunches/dinners one day :D Oh my goodness, I checked my airconditioner and it's set to 25 degrees haha :D I hope you can do a video of the Peanuts Hotel. I checked Trip Advisor and reviews are mixed. But Kobe looks like a lovely place, with such a pretty Starbucks :D

Black soaks up heat. Buy a light/white t-shirt. I’m a big believer in that as we get older, we have to wear brighter clothes. I don’t own anything black anymore. I love colours. Black is so draining on the skin. 😁

25°C is considered "cool" in Indonesia since our room temp is arround 30°C hehe (perhaps it will feel like hell for you guys in here 😂)
And what a coincidence, i walked the same path like you 27:50 (from Starbucks) 😆
There was also a souvenir shop with half the price of Tokyo on the way there (29:40 left side - snacks, cakes, sweets)

So beautiful, I was there two times but missed this beautiful part, actually you should take off mask in this hot weather with no one around, even there is,is outdoor,in North America no one will do that.I feel so sorry for you have to talk through that mask going up stairs, really appreciate. Other suggestion is you can just introduce the food when first came, tell us what it is or how much, name of rest.from outside, that’s all we need, no need to eat with us, actually by doing that is a bit too long, so enjoy all your meals, even street food, cut short enjoy your food yourself.it will still be very nice by doing that, thank you again
