Physically *trying to hiccup* yourself can also get rid of it for some reason. You basically like try to push air out of your lungs but not exhale, it's kinda' hard to explain. After like 20 seconds of it it works usually

I can do this too. I just tell my diaphragm to “f*****g stop it” and my hiccups will stop. No drinking water, holding breath or anything. I don’t even tell it to stop out loud. It’s all willpower. I can’t do it if I’m distracted though, I have to take a moment to directly command it to stop Edit: so cool! Just got to that part, I bet he can do it too.

how to get rid of hiccups: take a deep breath, hold it in and drink some water or any other liquid feels weird and may hurt if u do it a lil bit wrong but it seems to work for me and my friend
@@ValCronin Or just believe that you're in control of it, really get yourself to feel how you're body is doing it, and then just *not* do it. Sounds weird, but this has been my go to method to get rid of a hiccup for years, and I'm able to stop them right after the first one.

I learned a really good hiccup cure from reddit few years ago: Between hiccups open your mouth and take a big breath, hold it, and swallow your spit 2-3 times. Then breathe out slowly through your nose. Like 99% of the time it makes em instantly stop for me
