coercive plea bargaining is what I’m going thru now in McKinney Texas. They offered me 2 years probation deferred or face 10yrs in prison. It doesn’t sit well in my spirit to plea to something I didn’t do😢

I pled guilty to “hindering apprehension of a known felon” after my buddy moved a tractor in front of his shop door to keep the police out, with me inside.. he promised to tell them I had nothing to do with it. He was busy doing the rest of his drugs lol. We eventually got tear gassed and hAuled to jail. I was in jail for 4 months awaiting trial with a $100k bond. My court appointed attorney told me to take the 8 years they offered... my dad got me a lawyer and he got me 3 years on probation. Taking it to jury trial is a very scary thing because the judge will give you the max if you lose.

I saw a public defender refuse to investigate any of the defendants possible defenses because he was determined to get the plea signed. Even offered post date signsture if signed toda.. The public defender held the defendants plea for 4 months ..He handed it to the client 10 minutes before court.. The public defender was in possession of plea on January 23rd but didn't give it to this client till April 26th .Prosecutor wrote ple 8 months prior . The defendant was arrested only a month before..explanation given. The defendant was asking the judge to give him a couple days to review cause he judt got it>>>.Next court date ,same judge refused to give the defendant another Public defender knowing it was a huge conflict of interest. ...The public defenders daughter was killed by a drunk driver, less thsn a year prior. . The prosecutor and judge tag teamed him threatening if you don't sign now youll get more time. It was bad. It was threatening intimidating and bribery when the prosecutor jumped in and offer 60 days out before being locked up.. Then claimed he was a danger????He claimed he didn't get his preliminary hearing either. The judge didn't care. It was horrible!!

The most egregious example of a coercive plea bargain is the case of Taylor v County of Pima (9th Cir 2019) 913 F3d 930.

My son saved his best friends life from a trespassing baseball bat attacker in our driveway.
He just turned 18. Besides his curremt memtal.health crisis ncus of lack of available treatmemt and neglect by tge county tgat claimed after intemsive mh treatment programs and special education since the age of 4 and multie horific deathd including his dad. They said hes npy memtally ill amd.they cured him.
And he went bat ish crazy leaving me to reign bimback in from a prlsychotuc break.
The public defemder red6sed to listen about any mh issues. He said he cant claim self defemce amd menatl health as a defemse.
    Which is completwly bs.
And as his lawyer the pd ahould have at least considered my sons mh history and current mental.state while discussing the case.
The man refused to listen to one word from me. Insisted on talking to my son alone. Claimed legally he had to talk to him alone.
That right there is a reason to reverse the plea . .
My son And everyone else who hears the story of the incident says it was self defense even the police that day said it was self defense and return him home and the bloody clothes that didn't even collect his bloody clothes and. Admitted they Did not examine the pocket knife for DNA evidence. Even though my son's told them it was the Doctor the next used. That's Miss Hayden is looking up at us and I have the public defender absolutely refuse to let us see any of the information which I repeatedly told him he needed to show us. And I told him that we wanted to see the internet. Which legally we have the right? This public to find their basically took my son into a room. And I told him that if you don't plead guilty to attempted. I have to tell yofor 7 years, because basically the public defenders and the prosecutors wo together to make a deal whole, so they can just put th0e case away.
Loves. evidencfar as I'm concerned.hat for theyere ot considering it I don't
I'm sorry I have to end this year because my phone is acting up and stick youI'm sorry I have to end this year because my phone is acting up and continue.

That's what I've been living the last year and a half. I've learned so much, yet here i am. Warrant for my violation of probation, never having been too jail, at47 Mr prosecutor pushing 26 years ,im having health issues and jail medical*joke
To save my own life i went to a plea, but signed reserving my rights. Still violated me, on some real bullsh+t.
I'm rebuking and rebutting, but i simply have no faith in the Florida courts. I don't even know if I've taken a deal can i challenge the jurisdiction?

I currently am told to accept a plea bargain or face going from a possible misdemeanor to a Felony. I said ok let’s go to trial for the Felony and I’m contacting the Senators, United Nations and the press. 🤷🏻‍♀️ oh we still don’t know if they want a felony we will get back to you… Ok sis I still am contacting everyone and their mother.

@@gemdroppingaroc I did opt for trial. They kept “continuing” my dates so I started informing others on their 6th amendment rights, and other things. I suddenly had the charges dropped. I guess telling people the constitution literally states if you plead guilty you’re agreeing to become a legal slave.

Two other problems with plea bargaining: guilty people get off easy and innocent people are punished. Certain people, like Flynn, get favorable treatment they don't deserve.
Similar to plea bargain problems, is the innocent people who are falsely convicted. Guilty people, like cops, go free whether by plea bargains or judge/jury acquittal. Corrupt government officials or private persons who are friends of Trump, such as sheriff Joe Arpaio or Dinesh Dsouza, get pardoned.
    Otherwise, good program.
