My Chevelle is Victory Red, its a one of the most beautiful reds and can be matched easily. If you gonna minitub it you might want to narrow the frame rails in that area for clearance, dont have to but worth thinking about. I am running 10 inch wide rims with no problems with stock rearend.
Cool stuff. I got my 71 Chevelle convertible in 1980, and modded it in 1993. I put Wilwood's on mine too. For suspension I went with Herb Adams for the upper tubular A arms - nobody made lowers back then. Eibach springs, Koni shocks, offset upper arm mounts, Energy Suspension for bushings, Herb Adams sway bars front and rear, and Edelbrock boxed rear arms (3 year wait - NASCAR part). Nice to see they still make Willwoods. Also nice to see you can tubular lower A arms now. I enlarged the wheel wells front and rear by about 3 inches in radius and added 6" flares. I'm running P395/60R15's on Weld 15x12 Draglites at all 4 corners (road racer). The car color is GM #68, which they called "Cranberry Red" for the 1971 model year. The interior is black (Malibu trim) and the top is white.
