9/11/2024 23 years to the day and still so many unknowns. I remember that entire day rather vividly. For years afterwards it seemed as if i noticed every plane in the sky. Every single one...and id just stop, watch, and wait. To our first responders...love you guys more than youll ever know...thank you.
I just want to express my thank you to the creator of this vid, the care and effort it took to put your together was an incredible labor of love and respect for those who lost their lives that day, AND those who kept their cool so that others did survive. I still remember every minute of that morning. The world changed that day.
This sheds more light on the events. I’ve watched multiple videos of ATC communication with all four hijacked planes I knew there must have been something going on behind the scenes. Thank you for this extra information! There’s still so much that doesn’t make sense though. For example how does the misinformation about AA11 still being in the air come about, I guess they are mixing it up with AA77? Then the real big question is how do they not work out that UA195 ended up in the WTC? I was watching something else that even after UA93 crashed they still didn’t know 195 was in the WTC.
The planes back then didn’t have GPS - it was tough to track planes with their transponders turned off - back then the ATC used to track planes with radar; some newer planes of that time had GPS but it wasn’t considered necessary since the tracking systems they used were in place - lots of confusion took place since nobody had any idea what was unfolding Hopefully that answers your question - I’m certainly not trying to come off as condescending….
18:08, someone commented that the hijacker said, “we have planes.” Up until this point I thought it was just the hijackers bad English but maybe he was letting people know there was more than one hijacking.
Keep in mind that this is OLD technology. In 2001 they didn't even have GPS or smart phones. Considering all of this I find it amazing that they were able to communicate and support each other as well as they did. NYC residents knew more about it from watching the giant TV at Times Square than the people working for the airplane companies and the military. The stuff going on in the air and on the ground are two very different things.
well not really, by 2001 the grand majority of passenger planes did have GPS capabilities within the transponders, additionally even if they didn't, they could utilize NDB triangulation and report position back to ATC while of course this isn't nearly as fast and accurate as GPS, it still gives the pilots a very solid idea of where they are, it's not as much of an uncoordinated mess as it sounds.
that click at 56:04 is the sound of flight 11 hitting the north tower. betty ong saw the wtc towers and screamed omg, and the dispatcher says whats going on Betty, right when the plane hit. its so creepy to think about how it must feel to be on that plane
Thanks for clarifying that, from the few videos I’ve watched Betty doesn’t say anything after the last in flight victim report she gives to the phone operator. I read somewhere that Amy Sweeney’s last words (other than perhaps what the commenter mentioned above), were “something’s not right” (or something’s wrong), “we’re flying too low.” As far as I know there is no publicly available recording of Amy’s phone call.
The confusion in the beginning is because they were going to have War Games that day. That’s why they keep saying “is this real world or exercise”. No one was even close to be ready for it. That’s why the 2 fighters that went up after flight 11 they went up with no weapons. They were going to take out flight 93 with the fighter jets basically a suicide mission. Those brave souls “Everyone ready, let’s roll…”. Such a powerful last sentence from those heroes on flight 93.
It kinda just means the plane is big and can take off with a lot more weight compared to others. I’m pretty sure they start designating a plane as “heavy” when its maximum take off weight is like 300,000lb or more. It’s basically like 777s/A350s and any bigger than those models.

As far as I can tell: Delta 1989 was in similar airspace as Flight 93 and it was considered suspicious because two other planes out of Boston (Flights 11 and 175) had been hijacked. Some workers mistook the evidence for the Flight 93 hijacking as being about Delta 1989.
