I want to let you know how much you have helped me in Studio One 6. Just got the upgrade and was a bit lost. Your great way of teaching is bringing me up to speed fast. I am a 62 yr old classical pianist and composer. Thanks for the close to the screen shots that make everything clear and easy to follow. OK got to get back to your videos.

good stuff but I wish they would change the name from stems to tracks or multitracks/stems as they are different

This has become my main gripe about S1. For all its great features, the misuse of the term "stems" in the stem export menu is my only real pet peeve.

@@digitaldroo I kind of have a gripe with S1 calling the ATMOS feature 'Spatial Processing". Spatial processing is a part of the Mixing Process, Not another name for ATMOS. I can already see people being confused when they first hear that term and they're going to be confused thinking that they're talking about ATMOS.

Mike, thanks for another useful tutorial. Worth mentioning that the BPM and sample rate info, must be informed to the recipient of those stems, in particular if it’s a different DAW.

Interestingly enough, I've been going nuts the last hour or so trying to figure out how to export channel stems with the Send effects rendered into the files. As you mention in the video, despite what the reference manual says (yes, I checked), being able to hear the Send effects when soloing a channel, the bounced file does not print the effect. I should note that I create Folders with Bus channels for the express purpose of bouncing "stems" (and not multitracks 🙄). So I thought I could export Track stems instead, which, based on your video, will print Send effects. However, bus channels don't appear in the export list, so my folder/bus strategy to group tracks doesn't apply to Track "stem" export. My question is (after this long exposition): How do I export a group of tracks as a stem with the Send effects printed in it? The only solution I could come up with is to bounce Mixdowns stem by stem by soloing the groups+Send effects. I hope this all makes sense, and if anyone can help, it'd save me a lot of time and headache.

This is actually the same for me and a missing feature. I already send the presonus support a feature request. so lets hope they add this option cause it takes a lot of time :)

We need to spam them to give option just like cubase in which we can click include send return effect and boom we get what we want. In studio one its very confusing

Hi All, my questions is not necessarily about exporting Stems, rather i was going to try to use the stem seperation function in V7, however im been ripping some of my old CD's to my HDD and they end up as .aac files which play fine on my PC etc, however when trying to import the audio to studioone i get file not supported error. Not a lot of google help i can find apart from someone saying it supports this format ( i could find the option to export to .aac) but is there a trick to getting these ripped .aac files into studio one that im missing ?

I don't have any effects on my vocal stems. But I like the panning I did. How do I export the stems with the panning?

Render the track before exporting. It will save both panning and effects

After applying all the plugins and optimizing them, I got the output as you explained, but why is the sound different? When I listen to it in Studione, it is of better quality, but when it is in wav format after the output, it sounds weaker and deeper!.. So it is not good!.. Why?
