I only get cracks if I use certain paints. If yours are cracking then it might be a cheaper brand of paints or super dry climate? Try mixing some slow dry by liquitex. I have some listed on my website. That’ll make it dry slower. Im in humidity. As far as lines.. the slow dry may help that too. I use a lot of paint. Try it and see if it helps. Im sure others will chime in with help too. My cracking paint was apple barrel pastel colors… like any of the white base mattes.
@@pattikelleher4310 I notice it most with white too. People will tell you your paint is drying too fast but that made no sense to me. It’s correct but misleading. I have no knowledge of why but it seems like the whiter the paint… the better chance of cracks. The apple barrel white and pastels do this every time for me. But their multi surface doesn’t? Something in the ingredients. My advice… find a good white that doesn’t crack and use it to make pastels. Or hopefully the slo-dry will work. Good luck.. 🤞🏻

Hi there! My first time here. Great job! I’ve been wanting to do a square canvas. You have inspired me. I saw a quick blurb on the dilution of the paint. But couldn’t find it when I looked back. Can you share that here? Thanks.
Hi Sharon and welcome 🤗 I’m so glad you found my channel and are inspired ♥️ I’m not entirely clear what you’re looking for… but I’m a good guesser 😂 Sometimes I do thin my paint a little. I’d say 90 % of the time I use it straight out of the bottle but it might begin to dry a bit after a couple hours, maybe my paint is old or maybe a less expensive brand.. or whatever reason my paint feels to thick to glide around. At that point I will dilute with flow aid. There’s links to it on my site and in the description. Basically, I use 20 parts water to 1 part of the flow aid and keep it in that purple dropper bottle you may see me use in my videos. I use that mixture to thin my paint. It makes the paint more fluid and let’s it.. well .. flow better. I usually add 3 to 10 drops in my paint in the wells of the palette. Mix slow so I don’t cause a ton of bubbles and tap my palette a few times to get out the inevitable bubbles. I almost always show it when I thin my paint. I sure hope this makes sense and helps. Typing my thoughts isn’t my strongest talent 😂😂😂 Let me know if you need anything I’m never too far ♥️♥️♥️
Hi Louise.. Thank you ♥️ there’s a link to those storage things on my site at www.jadelrocks.com/artdesk Just scroll all the way to the bottom of that page. I’m not home or I’d just give you the link. Thanks for your interest in my art and tools.. you rock!!
Hi i from the Caribbean Islands 🏝 st.maarten i just started to do that also and I love your work, but did you do it all in one day because of the wet paint 🎨
Hello Monique!!! Yes I did it all in one sitting. When I was done I had 5 hours of footage! Whoa! There were very few top dots so they were dry once I needed to do them. I was blurry eyed and a bit dazed when I got done 😂😂😂 I just got so wrapped up in it. I’m so glad you commented ♥️♥️ Thank you ♥️
Exquisite. I love watching you. I could watch all day. Sadly, I wrote a long "To Do" last night and I'm already behind. I had no idea that this dotting world was so huge. I've watched a couple of others. I realize it would be all too easy to go down a rabbit hole forever, so I'm just going to watch you. I love your color choices and designs. Question: When you started, did you have to practice making the swooshes? I imagine you had to play around with the sizes, etc. Are there tutorials that concentrate on the basics? Once again, thank you for my morning meditation.🙏
@elenalatici9568 welcome 🤗 I’m thrilled you’re here. I did have to practice. I still think I’m practicing 😂😂😂. In the end I think thinning my paint and slowing way down was key!! I have a video where I slow it down but dog gone it I can’t remember which it was. I should make a tutorial on what I’ve learned but practice was key and still is, LOL.
Thank you Linda ♥️ I actually never got up from start to finish was right at 5 hours. I thought that was pretty good. It must have had my attention to not get up. That’s super unusual for me. Since I didn’t plan it I think I just get excited wanting to see how it turns out. Lol
Me encanta todo lo que haces, sería posible que los subtítulos fueran en español?? Por favor, aprendo mucho contigo pero solo de lo que veo, felicidades por tu trabajo, 😘😘❤😍🤩
There is flow aid in the description and at the end of the video in the supplies. But I just skimmed thru the video and didn’t see me use it. However! It looks like o didn’t add anything until about 2 hours into painting. I can see my paint wells look stirred. So, apparently I did use it as my paints began to dry. I probably didn’t show it because the paint was fine out of the bottle. I always use the flow aid as the directions on the bottle say and I add several drops when needed and stir. I’m so glad you asked this. Thank you ♥️
Absolutely beautiful but I had to turn the sound down as the music is way too distracting...please do away with the music or at least find some quiet tranquil music, especially when you are speaking.
You can use a protractor? Just make a mark every 22 degrees? I think technically it's 22.5 but I'm not positive. I got this stencil from Happy Dotting Company. I love it. You can get it on Etsy or Amazon or Message Anjela directly and she might have a better way depending on your area. She's one of the nicest people you'll meet.

@@JaDeLRocks that is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Great information thanks
Awesome … anytime ♥@@sharonkloter1687
This is awesome.... can you please tell me what you use to store your paint bottles? Thank you in advance.
Hi Louise.. Thank you ♥️ there’s a link to those storage things on my site at www.jadelrocks.com/artdesk
Just scroll all the way to the bottom of that page. I’m not home or I’d just give you the link. Thanks for your interest in my art and tools.. you rock!!
Nice good teqnic...nam which type of colours are used ..plz inform me
Thank you so much for the compliment. All of the colors and supplies are listed in the description. If you can't find them let me know :)
This is very beautiful . what is that rack you keep your paints in? It looks great.
I listed it at the bottom of my art desk on my website… I’m in love with them. www.jadelrocks.com/artdesk
Thank you. Your work is always beautiful. Your sense of whimsy is also always a delight.
Thank you ♥️
Hi i from the Caribbean Islands 🏝 st.maarten i just started to do that also and I love your work, but did you do it all in one day because of the wet paint 🎨
I’m so glad you commented ♥️♥️ Thank you ♥️
Stunning 23:10
Thank you ♥️ I appreciate that Cathy 🤗
WOOOOOOO IT'S JADEL TIME BB GET YOURSELF READY 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Oh I’m ready 😂😂😂
Maravilloso 👏👏👏 estoy haciendo este , pero no me sale tan perfecto como a ti , pero tampoco me importa 😅 🧚
Awesome!!! It’ll still be amazing no matter the similarities or differences. Good luck.. 🤞🏻 You can do it!!! It’s not perfect… it’s ART!!! 😉
This is gorgeous! How long did it take you to do in real-time? Thank you for this 😊
Thank you Linda ♥️ I actually never got up from start to finish was right at 5 hours.
Thank you ♥️ I assumed you could choose any language.. let me look around and find answers but I will get it done.
I just added subtitles to this video. I will start to do this with every download. Please let me know if this works for you now. Thank you :)
Did you mix any medium to bring this consistency in your paints ? TIA
Any time I use flo aid I show it. I’m fairly sure I didn’t use any on this. Let me check the description I’ll be back in a minute…
Thank you ♥️
Nice work. Dixie cup circles are not in the same place in 4 quadrants.
I think I squeezed one 🤗 Thank you ♥️ I also think that’s why the mistake. I’m so glad you liked it. I might need a better stencil eh?? 😂😂
Absolutely beautiful but I had to turn the sound down as the music is way too distracting...please do away with the music or at least find some quiet tranquil music, especially when you are speaking.
Awww, I’m sorry you didn’t like it but I appreciate the feedback ♥️♥️
Nice 👍🙂🙂👍👍👍 video
Many many thanks, that feedback helps a lot 🤗♥️
Where do you get the stencils?
You follow along with the tutorial. I don’t use stencils. ♥️♥️♥️
I DON'T HAVE THAT STENCIL IT IS HARD TO FIND IT HERE IN Costa Rica how do I make the lines? Thanks
Let me measure them out with a protractor for you.. I’ll reply again soon..
Using my protractor that I found after buying a new one.. it says my marks are at 0, 22, 45, 68, 90…. They are roughly 22.5° apart.
You can probably order the stencil on Etsy… Try Happy Dotting Company on Etsy or Amazon.
What Can I use if I do not have a stencil?
You can use a protractor? Just make a mark every 22 degrees? I think technically it's 22.5 but I'm not positive. I got this stencil from Happy Dotting Company. I love it. You can get it on Etsy or Amazon or Message Anjela directly and she might have a better way depending on your area. She's one of the nicest people you'll meet.
Thank you so much for your advice 🥰
Hi I am your new subscriber from India 🙏
Wow! How great is that. Thank you ♥️ It is so wonderful to connect with people from so far away. Hello to you and India ♥️♥️♥️ I’m so glad you’re here. Let me know if you have questions or comments. I read every one. 🤗

How to sell and fix price of our artwork
I sell my art online and at craft fairs. Pricing is hard. Try calculating the hours you spent multiplied by a reasonable hourly wage. You can always reduce a price but it’s hard to raise one respectfully.
❤🤝👏👏👏👏
🤗♥️😊
אני רוצה ללמוד את זה. להרשם לקורס...היכן לומדים???
I am self taught so I’m not sure where you can get courses. Search for beginners videos to get started watching how to paint mandalas. Here’s one I made a long time ago…

@@JaDeLRocks cant follow with music ect
Awww, that’s too bad. Try muting with captions on.. that should do it 🤗 Good luck.. 🤞🏻
@@JaDeLRocks i did and all the captions say is music
@@starrspoter I typically only talk at the beginning and end. During the video I show you the paint color I’m using and the tool size. You’re not missing anything. What were you hoping for? This might be just the feedback I need to help a little more with my videos. What would be your ideal tutorial? Thank you for Caring enough to tell me your thoughts. I appreciate it. ♥
Бывает, ошибёшься в одном месте. И приходиться в других местах так же рисовать, типа так и надо.
Very true ♥️🤗
Doesn't a Mandela tutorial kind of defeat the purpose??
The purpose of what?
@@JaDeLRocks the purpose of a spontaneous reaction of thought. Change your name you are dense as h*ll.
I think it’s all in how you look at it. The purpose of this video, the purpose of my painting, and even the purpose of my channel is to teach and share with others an art that has been therapeutic to me over the years. My aim is to give you the tools to do the same. I’m showing people how I create my art and I really hope through that process they can create art too. I once started out by practicing and learning from others too. I hope you reconsider your thoughts and unkind words. I’m only trying to help others through an art form that has helped me throughout the worst times. Kindness is for everyone ♥️ I wish you well Shelia but I’m going to leave my name the way it is.
Are you dense or something? ALL of us dot artists have learned a massive amount from JaDel. You “obviously” are not an artist, but you should either TRY IT YOURSELF or go troll elsewhere. Have a nice day 😂
