Ok, I’m so SO glad I searched “dot painting for beginners” in the search bar and found your channel. You are a really thorough teacher and I’ve already learned so much from you. I am also glad to find an American instructor because I finally have access to your same tools and paints. 🤗 I think the main thing right now that makes me most excited I found your channel is your step by step for beginner tutorials that I see on here (and am about to watch one). The length of them makes me think they’re in real time. 🤗😎 I purchased two 8 in square canvas boards last week and have already painted them black. So, they’re waiting for me to jump in. Thanks so much for helping instill the confidence in me to believe I can do this. Not sure I’ll ever attempt a 36 in round, but who knows? I just May one day! 😎🤷🏻♀️🤗👍🏻👍🏻🫶🏻 Thanks again and God Bless You for sharing your time and talent with us!
Hi! I haven’t started painting yet but I’ve watched a zillion of your videos. I’m mesmerized! Everything you do is so beautiful 🤩. Thank you for sharing your beautiful art! 😊
Deco Art provides really a good range of colours. In India none of the manufacturers are providing such a great range of combinations. sometimes I really need to mix colours with white to get lighter but still not that perfect outcome.
Thanks. It's very helpful to see that you can make mistakes too! And how to recover! I think what I have come away with is another method and it's worth practicing.
Thank you! This is exactly what I needed! I have the dots down, even the drags from dots, but the paintbrushes 🖌️ are a lil harder to control. Lots of pressure, finger, wrist, and angle coordination. 😅
Thanks for the great tutorial. Surprised there was no mention of any acrylic flow mediums, a lot of other channels recommend something like that to help with the process... glad to see it just takes patience
For bubble issues in your mixed paint, I've heard Infacol Effective Colic Relief 50ml works really well. It's made for babies who suffer colic, you only need a drop in your paint to release the bubbles. I am not sure who came up with it first otherwise I would give credit where credit is due. It's not really expensive but would go a long way. Can you say what size your paint pots are please, I have only been able to find the small ones so far. I remember when doing swoshers was a real challenge but overtime like everything, they have gotten easy. Especially when I take my time. Just like running the dots, it took me ages to learn that they don't need to be done fast, as long as the paint is still wet of course. It's amazing how much we have been able to learn from tutorials that so many people have generously shared with novices, online. You Tube channels covering crafts have been invaluable. Especially for those of us who live in more isolated areas where everything we need has to be brought online, which makes it more expensive of course. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise with us, it's really appreciated.
You are a true artist I love following you you always had the best designs and your voice is so calming ready to listen to you you will be very famous in your life for your amazing skills and I appreciate everything you do
So so helpful! Love your work. Gonna go practice with my brushes now! Also have a question about thinning a paint. Can I just use water or is it best to use the fluid medium?
Bravissima, ma cosa aggiungi al colore acrilico? Acqua e qualcosa altro per ottenerlo cosi cremoso? I vasetti vanno lavati ogni volta? E se avanza colore, lo butti?
Beautiful and helpful 🙏🏾 I don’t know if it’s been said, but for the brushes you want to have liner brushes, it’s a specific type of brush, and it makes it all easier ❤
Thank Lihi! They don’t ‘have to’ be liner brushes. These brushes in this video are not liner brushes. Recently I started using liner brushes and love them. Different types of brushes create thicker or thinner lines so it’s all about personal preference!
Hey. Do you need a thinner paint? I feel like mine is too thick and it doesn't come off the tool as easily as yours. I find myself hitting it against the paper to transfer the paint. 😅
Hi ^^ do you have a link for this containers you use for the colours? I had try some from a drugstore but the color was dry , when i want to use it the next time ...
Question, when you purchase one of your tutorials do you have it at your disposal at any time or is it just a one time deal? I’m thinking of purchasing your brush techniques. I purchased your exact brushes on Amazon and just received them. Excited to start learning how to do your beautiful brushstrokes.
I absolutely love your videos and have learned so much from watching them. Your work is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your art and talent with us.
Thank you so much Demi! I want to ask you for help, I can't buy a set of brushes, I would ask which of these sterinted would be suitable for purchase? Thank you, your mandalas are very beautiful. I'm Hungarian 12pcs Portable Watercolor Pen Set Nylon Fiber Brush Paint Brushes (Sharp) or this 12pcs Flat Tip Painting Brushes Set Artist Nylon Hair Watercolor Oil Drawing Pen
I'm legit thinking using a brush is a speed hack too for larger mandalas. I struggled the fist time because I couldn't get the camera at an angle where I could paint them head on. Painting off to the side makes it difficult to make them symmetrical if I'm swooshing on two sides of a large shape.

Are the brushes hard or soft? Thanks for this, awesome!
Hey. Do you need a thinner paint? I feel like mine is too thick and it doesn't come off the tool as easily as yours. I find myself hitting it against the paper to transfer the paint. 😅
Demi do you clean your brush after each swoosh? Beautiful demonstration
Hi ^^ do you have a link for this containers you use for the colours? I had try some from a drugstore but the color was dry , when i want to use it the next time ...
Do you ever use paint brushes to make swooshes? If so, what type of brush? I would think brushes would be easier. Need to get tools & jump in.
An awesome tutorial!! Extremely helpful! Thank you! Do you thin your paints for your swooshes?
You’re welcome!! No I do not. DecoArt Americana works great as is ❤️
Question, when you purchase one of your tutorials do you have it at your disposal at any time or is it just a one time deal? I’m thinking of purchasing your brush techniques. I purchased your exact brushes on Amazon and just received them. Excited to start learning how to do your beautiful brushstrokes.

Hello! Can you message me on Instagram please?
I'm legit thinking using a brush is a speed hack too for larger mandalas.
I struggled the fist time because I couldn't get the camera at an angle where I could paint them head on. Painting off to the side makes it difficult to make them symmetrical if I'm swooshing on two sides of a large shape.
wow thanks
when yours is all dry does yours have like a 3d bumpy feel? cause mine is always feels flat
Demi did you mix your colors or did you buy each shade
