    Ok, I’m so SO glad I searched “dot painting for beginners” in the search bar and found your channel. You are a really thorough teacher and I’ve already learned so much from you. I am also glad to find an American instructor because I finally have access to your same tools and paints. 🤗
    I think the main thing right now that makes me most excited I found your channel is your step by step for beginner tutorials that I see on here (and am about to watch one). The length of them makes me think they’re in real time. 🤗😎
    I purchased two 8 in square canvas boards last week and have already painted them black. So, they’re waiting for me to jump in. Thanks so much for helping instill the confidence in me to believe I can do this.
    Not sure I’ll ever attempt a 36 in round, but who knows? I just May one day! 😎🤷🏻‍♀️🤗👍🏻👍🏻🫶🏻
    Thanks again and God Bless You for sharing your time and talent with us!

    Deco Art provides really a good range of colours. In India none of the manufacturers are providing such a great range of combinations. sometimes I really need to mix colours with white to get lighter but still not that perfect outcome.

    For bubble issues in your mixed paint, I've heard Infacol Effective Colic Relief 50ml works really well. It's made for babies who suffer colic, you only need a drop in your paint to release the bubbles. I am not sure who came up with it first otherwise I would give credit where credit is due. It's not really expensive but would go a long way.
    Can you say what size your paint pots are please, I have only been able to find the small ones so far. I remember when doing swoshers was a real challenge but overtime like everything, they have gotten easy. Especially when I take my time. Just like running the dots, it took me ages to learn that they don't need to be done fast, as long as the paint is still wet of course.
    It's amazing how much we have been able to learn from tutorials that so many people have generously shared with novices, online. You Tube channels covering crafts have been invaluable. Especially for those of us who live in more isolated areas where everything we need has to be brought online, which makes it more expensive of course. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise with us, it's really appreciated.

    • @thoughtfuldots
      @thoughtfuldots  2 роки тому +4

      Thank Lihi! They don’t ‘have to’ be liner brushes. These brushes in this video are not liner brushes. Recently I started using liner brushes and love them. Different types of brushes create thicker or thinner lines so it’s all about personal preference!

    I'm legit thinking using a brush is a speed hack too for larger mandalas.
    I struggled the fist time because I couldn't get the camera at an angle where I could paint them head on. Painting off to the side makes it difficult to make them symmetrical if I'm swooshing on two sides of a large shape.
