I am 51 years old I was raised up listening to Loretta Lynn Conway Twitty George Jones and Tammy Wynette in my all-time favorite and I wished I would at get to meet her before something happens and that's true Loretta Lynn thank you for all the beautiful song you sing for the world to hear
I'm now 73 but back in 1971 I moved to Nashville and back then didn't know anyone . One night after walking up and down Broadway we went to Lorettas tavern , only a few people were in there . They were playing country music . There were 2 girls sitting in the far side so I got up the nerve to ask one to dance and she said sure . after a min.or so she asked if I was new in town and I said yes . She said are you here to make it big and I said no , I can't sing or play a guitar . so she asked well what brought you to Nashville and jokenly I said a Grayhound bus . She kind of laughed , after the dance I wasn't back and sat down . several songs later she asked if I would like to dance and I said sure . She asked do you know who I am and I said no . I'm Loretta and I said I'm Ken , pleased to meet you . She said it's not very often you meet someone that dosent know who you are . That's when she said im Loretta Lynn . I said you mean I'm dancing with a star . She said I'm just a regular person like you but it sure is nice to be looked at as a regular . She said that's my sister Crystal . I didn't have any idea who she was . after the dance I finished my beer and left still not be leaving who I just danced with . That was the only time I got to meet Loretta . A few years later after I got married we had a girl we named Lynn middle name . Loretta was older than me but I just want to say , thank you Loretta for the dance , I'll never forget that . hope you still remember me . That was the best memory I have of meeting you . She acted just like a regular person . Hi Loretta . 49 years later . My wife and I have 3 kids , 2 girls and a son and 4 grandkids
I have loved Loretta since I was a little girl. The first time I saw her in concert I was almost nine months pregnant and was actually having contractions during the concert! I didn’t say anything to my mother because I was afraid she would make us leave! Lol. Luckily it was false labor and my first baby was born 2 weeks later on Loretta’s birthday.
After Owen Bradley realized how special Loretta Lynn was and she started doing duets with Conway Twitty she was known widely by the world. So happy that Doolittle gave up his wild life and stayed home with Peggy and Patsy. Loretta wrote about her life and people loved it. I love Loretta Lynn.
OH How wonderful Loretta Lynn's Music is I went 2 Branson 2 hear her sing but when I got there it was already sold out .I was very Sad I did not get 2 see her it was her last night there I HAVE LOVED HER MUSIC FROM A VERY EARLY AGE MY Mom & Dad love Country Music.Loretta Lynn U R Super Great .I know your Childre appreciate everything that you have done for them even though that you was gone for long periods of time I love you Loretta Lynn you deserve everything that you have worked so hard for God bless you Loretta I'll keep on listening to you over and over all the time thank you for everything that you have done with your music all of us can kill you just keep on listening to it thank you so much
She is amazing. I love collecting her records. She sounds amazing with no special equipment. Just need a basic record player and set one of her records on and the whole thing front and back are fantastic and sooo relatable. I love her. 💜💜💜
1977 The Lorretta Lynn bus was awesome, Toronto,, I was 13 rode my bike over the Peace Bridge from Buffalo . got a picture , i tried to steal a kiss, but miss Lorretta was amazing, gave me a kiss, on my cheek and a hug,
I have the photo in front of the tour bus, in my box, of stuff, along with my collection of guitar pics, from 3Dog Night, Ray Davies, Roger Waters, Pete Townsend, Frampton, Ace Frehley, drum sticks from Peter Criss, and 2towels thrown from Gene Simmons, I havent been to another live show, in 30 yrs. but I did meet Hank Williams Jr. in NYC, .
I am in northerner bute ver since I seen the movie coal Miner's daughter when I was 18 yrs old I've been Loretta Lynn's biggest fan!! I love her energy I love her tenacity I just love the person she is!! she's generally a good soul!!!
Their life was a great balance between a husband and wife... they balanced each other as it should be according to this documentary...I pray it was that way...their beautiful daughters see it that way so, how blessed they were together. Thank you for posting this, I appreciate watching it.👍🏼💫🌟💕🙏🏽🎼😇
I’m binge watching this even though I’ve seen it all before. I just got back from Loretta’s ranch where I sang for her Labor Day weekend and I obviously didn’t get enough lol
Yeah I can really relate to some of the things y'all are talking about and stuff cuz me and my child's father of what we only have three kids but now in 2019 and back then he's four years older than me and I had my first child at 18 didn't know nothing with a child myself but I still love to sing you know that's my stress in my relief and he drinks a lot and stuff like that too and now the children are teenagers so they're old enough to understand what's going on
So many women put up with womanizers and drunks during that time. We had too many kids so leaving was difficult, therefore, women related to Loretta's song. She was writing about our lives during a time when women were expected to stay married.
I'm sorry Loretta did not sound nothing like kitty wells, you can tell way different between them to, there not one women out there back then and now can never come close sounding like Loretta lynn, Loretta puts them all to shame
I admire Doolittle for raising the children while his wife brought home the bacon.Somebody had to do it. He was a heavy drinker and a womanizer and Loretta made songs about it but women could identify with that which was probably why they were such fans of her music.
If she had made all the money she needed for her dream home & dream life why was she forced to continue working and touring? Contract for X number of years? Do they pay them First
Gosh, they didn’t mention that the Wilbourn brothers screwed Lynn over. They got the publishing rights to her songs to that point. She got so disgusted she stopped writing. @#$% men.
"@#$% men." Well, if you're going to categorize all men as evil, because of what the Wilbourns did, then I guess I can categorize all women as evil, because of what Amber Herd did. So, @#$% women.

She got her beautiful high cheekbones from her native American roots... Cherokee Indigenous peoples.
The South sure did have some great Country Music singers and Loretta was one of them.

Sephen Curee he was a complete dick from the get-go. He sent her out to bring home the bacon while he sat back and cheated on her.
The truth is If she was really honest about it " you ain't rich and fun enough to take my man"
Doolittle = a hound dog
He was a jack ass. She took alot of crap from Doo.
What about Patsy Cline. Y'all haven't even mentioned her?!?
