One thing they say at Southampton university is you never ever ever quit, and she just quat.
That is soooo not _lush_
The brilliance possesed by Serafinowicz is astonishing.
His Alan Alda impression is absolutely incredible, I'm amazed by how good that sounds.
He and Bill Hader. Put on either, close your eyes, and you can't tell that it ISN'T Alan Alda.
It’s preposterous. It’s ridiculous.
I don't know why, but "Who Wants To Win £100" was really soothing and interesting, I wish this was an actual thing.
Sir Barnabas Montague is just that good of a host, very kind with all contestants, even tradespeople.
altrogeruvah I get what you mean..
As a person who just learned english recently I say the language they spoken was so beautiful and sounded almost like poetry "should you be fortunate enough to win". No one speaks like that.
altrogeruvah exactly
Look up some 1920s-1940s stuff, it’s to early to be 50s though

Me LIKE tings!
Peter's Alan Alda impression really is amazing. And I love how Alan Alda keeps coming back to take issue with something O News is presenting on lol
That George Lucas impression is God tier.
I wonder if it's payback for Peter's experiences on Episode I? Peter wasn't invited to premiere(he had to get Mel Smith to ask George Lucas to allow him to that) - and then his voice wasn't used for Darth Maul in the animated series, etc.
Just needed a little bit of a head wobble.
It blows my mind that certain sketch performers can perform variations on the same premise repeatedly, get solid numbers and be recommissioned/renewed. But Pete, who did not bleed the same characters dry or rely on hackneyed catchphrases, was doneski after one series/season.
I'm happy to watch him in The Tick, despite the fact that he is underutilized.
Little Britain comes to mind.
If you haven't seen Look Around You, check it out. Brilliant parody of 1970s and 80s BBC Schools programmes.
It wasn't that good mate
The O News guy never ever blinks. try and win a staring contest against him, go on I dare you!
One thing is for sure, whether he blinks or not, he won't stop smiling. **A-HAH-HAH-HAH!!**
They played a PragerU commercial in the middle of this episode and it was just like one of the skits from the show.
planetxan What's a skit?

72,000 episodes of the 'Last of the Bloody Summer Wine' for the urine covered slow of thinking coffin dodgers, yet the BBC couldn't manage a second series of the above ?
Give me a second series you shit!
Yeah give him a second series ya swine
Hahahaha :) (a-Ha!)
His impressions are top notch
How the heck did this not get a second series?
Because Peter said no.
Fair play, one series gave us so much and it'd be hard to follow up on it.
The Marlon Brando bits are my favourite haha! Come dance for me! 16:44
People are confused about being soothed by an archaic version of a game show, but that's nothing. For the last half hour I've been thinking about eating a couch.
For heaven sakes somebody PIN THIS COMMENT!! 👏👏
Pixies!
Marlon the Hutt was truly disturbing and hilarious
Honestly it’s kinda relaxing in my opinion

THE JOHN CLEESE IMPRESSION IM DYING
Peter is a wealth of talent.
I would legit watch ‘who wants to win £100’
My tuba repairman died today...
I love the song during the telegram sending on 'Who Wants to Win £100?'. That cracked me up. 😂
The Brando sketch is quite disturbing.
Jabba the Hutt
@@matthew-ph6xo that’s probably what it’s modelled off
The fact that someone was probably inside the suit moving the tail
Nice to see Pete is still finding work as a telephone zombie
This was a hugely underrated series. He's so talented.
He could play a young Anthony Hopkins.
“Who Want To Win £100” is absolutely inspired and really should have been a recurring sketch. Absolutely brilliant.
I just saw it for the first time and loved the concept and the execution.
Seems like Dr. Ginski illegally acquired some calcium to perform Helvetica Scenarios... that’s his secret to facewipe, lol. 😉😉😉
12:42 Copy down the address guys.
I loved that part
They need to bring this show back im desperate for more episodes

Mr. peter...
I don't feel so good...
Ahhhhh!
The black and white game show was amazing
The best comedy vehicle of the past 20 years.
The Marlon Brando was spot on, though not exactly flattering
its accurate though they did genetic engineering experiments on him on the set of The Usland of Dr Morau and he was just 'like that' untill his death
waa waaaaaaaaa
I met a 'Tiggy' once in 2004, he was on the way to Cornwall in a spotless VW Camper with a surfboard on the roof, I guarantee it never got wet (unless it rained on the way).
They really didn’t promote this show very well. This would’ve been right up my street as I’d really enjoyed the stuff he did with Simon Pegg and co. I barely knew it was a thing until after the fact. Serefinowicz should have become a much bigger name with his talent as both writer and performer in stuff like this and Look Around You, both of which are super under-watched gems.
24:58 I guess things turned out alright for Pete after the apocalypse
The Complico Ad is chef's kiss
This NEEDS to be mainstream! Comedy gold
I still occasionally shout 'IT'S ME FEEVRIT' when expressing preferences.
The Marlon Brando / Jabba The Hut impression is inspired.. almost as good as the Ralph Fiennes / Leonard Rossitor
The O news guy is just amazing. And Who Wants to Win 100 pounds? Genius.
How have I never heard of this show till today? Genius!
omg where has this guy been all my life. FANTASTIC!!!!!
Might I say the most underrated comic internationally?
oh man the Marlon Brando wasssss twisted
1:59 and he didn't even blink... wow, he's one hellava actor
God, this is good. Give him a second series, you shits!
Do you tings?
Me like tings.
Then you'll love Rings, Wings, Bings, Mings, Stings, Kings & Tings
I'd totally read that, too bad I only have 1 schling
this is really good...should have been more mainstream 👍
Brando Masterclass!!!......FANTASTICALLY FUNNY!!!
The “who wants to win 100 pounds” segment was so wonderfully done and they did a brilliant job to make it look so accurate to the late 30s and early 40s film quality. The sound quality was also very similar to the standard quality of films from the 30s.
This is brilliant
These are hilarious when you're high
Thanks Peter!
Theter.
How this show only got one season is crazy
Good shit
She quat
I'd watch the shit out of cannibal island! They should make it in international waters, just to be safe.
Hey, Peter, why are you so amazing ! 1000 people in 1 body. Why do I have to cry laughing everytime I see you ? Why must my belly hurt everytime I see you ?
That Acting Masterclass was really hard to watch.
yeah no kidding!
Never ever quit. She quat
There's talent like Pete S then there's Mrs Brown's Boy's... - The BBC ladies and gentlemen..
3:04 Almost no one knows who this guy is but Peter took entirely too long giving a perfect impression if him.
that song tho!
It's ridiculously authentic.
In the credits: "Composer Matt Berry." I reckon he wrote it, and the Guide To Modern Life music. If you haven't heard his albums give them a listen, they're brilliant.
@@kingkasper2725 Matt is fantastic.
me like tings, killed me hA HA HA
i can never not watch the intro
“Oooooh it’s ma favourite!”
Far too left field and original for the BBC......
You don't think the Goon Show was left field and original? You don't think Monty Python was left field and original?
Or Not the Nine O'Clock News? Or The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy? Or The Young Ones? Or Goodness Gracious Me? Or Fist of Fun? Or The Fast Show? Or Big Train? Or The Day Today? Or The Thick of It? Or I'm Alan Partridge? Or The Office? Or Him and Her? Or Fleabag? Or?
I think I've made my point....
@@rikhumphreys2151 there’s not as much of it these days though... seems to be the safe option every time now
@@rikhumphreys2151
Only 'Him and Her' and 'Fleabag' are from the last decade. 90% of BBC comedy now is the same reconstituted Oxford or Live at the Apollo comedy circuit clique, crammed into a generic sitcom or worn-out panel show. I swear if I hear another tedious David Mitchell middle-class rant I'm going to end myself.
@@weefeatures
Eh? What about 'Frankie Boyle's New World Order', 'The Wrong Mans', 'Pls Like', 'Ghosts', 'Enterprice', 'What We Do In The Shadows', 'Motherland', 'Staged', 'This Country', 'Limmy's Homemade Show', 'The Young Offenders', 'Famalam', 'Man Like Mobeen', 'Mandy', 'The First Team', 'Dave', 'Ladhood', My Left Nut', 'Mister Winner'....?
If you don't like David Mitchell, you don't have to watch/listen. Indeed, for your continued life and well being, you really mustn't.
But middle class folks are allowed to rant, why shouldn't we?
I agree the preponderance of panel shows is tiresome, but 'Would I Lie To You' is one of the better ones and part of it's appeal is the class contrast and battle between Mitchell and Lee Mack.
The BBC got squeamish after Sachsgate and hasn't fully recovered since. But there are so many more platforms for fresh production of both comedy and drama now compared to when they made those classic shows from way back, that it shouldn't surprise us that the Beeb isn't at the forefront of making innovative stuff anymore.
I don't think they're doing too bad though.
What nonsense. The BBC has consistently produced some of the most inventive, ground breaking television, across all genres, for decades The problem you have is political. Your politics won't allow you to judge content on its merits. It automatically loses points if the producer doesn't fall in line with your trite quasi-opinions.
Still topical and apt in 2021 - so funny to see in these boys' minds - Season 2?
The brando scetches are fucking gold!
I like the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire parody.
Me too.
The thing which made me laugh the most was the address for Timeline.

I wonder if he ever did a " John"
So wierd coz when the real adverts come on, im waiting for the punch line! Lol
An amazing talent!
Thank you

He does John Lennon earlier in the series. Turns out the original lyrics to "Imagine" were, um, pretty darn original. I don't recall the episode, but you could find it easily, I'd think.

Brando sounds like Big Bird. I kind of want to see BB redubbed to Serafinowicz's Brando.
That is the most delicious looking sofa I have ever seen.
The last Great sketch show ! I really miss this
Does anyone know the name of the music playing during the Cannibal Island sketch?
Without a doubt the best George Lucas impression I've ever seen.😂
Bobby Moynihan's is very good too he nailed the soft tone.
@@lostspaniard Even better when you realise Peter Serafinowicz was the voice of Darth Maul in Episode I (which admittedly there are very few, but all the same) and has actually met George, and has some quite funny stories to tell. Look up "Peter Serafinowicz The Phantom Menace" and I'm sure you'll find the video of him talking to Richard Herring about it, defintely worth a listen!

The Brando sketch was very unsettling
@14:35 Perry Rogers
Wow. I just realized because of the 100 pounds sketch that "Holmes and Watson" ripped this show off sooo bad, and they weren't as good at it. No wonder it is such a crap fest. I couldn't figure it out until just this now.
