East Coast US here. Watching Nigella at Christmastime is just as much a tradition as the tree, music and favorite Christmas films and TV shows. Something so calming and comforting about these.
This entire series has become one of my own little Christmas traditions. I remember watching this when I was much younger. I had this specific image, of Nigella making the red chili jam, pop in my head a few years ago. I ended up finding the show here on YT and now, It's saved as one of my favorites. I've unknowingly adapted some of the things shown throughout this series. For instance, I know that chutney is very popular in the UK. But it's not as popular here in the US. It's one of my absolute favorite condiments. I use it in my turkey and ham sandwiches all year.
Im loving re visiting Nigella's cosy nurturing Christmas cooking right now. Its exactly 💯% sheer delights for my soul. And so healing here , with a sense of peace and comfort much needed. ❤
I love Nigella's Christmas specials, they're elegant and cozy in equal measures, and every time I make one of the recipes, it's a hit. I live in Canada and have a hard time seeing them, BBC won't allow viewing outside of the UK. Has she made one every year up until the present day? If she has, can anyone tell me how I can watch them?
Thank you for this! I have all her christmas episodes saved in my computer and play them every year as christmas approaches. But the ones i have aren't nearly as high res as these!
I just came across this video by happenstance and because I was completely transfixed by the way it was prepared, I have now decided to roast a Poussin for Christmas dinner instead of a turkey. A first!
Although I only recently (within the past couple of months!) became familiar with Nigella, I can see why she has an enormous following. Is there anybody that's more influential, or more knowledgeable when it comes to food or anything food related? Nobody even comes close! She's definitely in a league all her own. Or rather, one that hasn't been invented yet!
I like Martha, but they can't even compare. I mean Martha is more like a teacher who is nice, but firm lol. Nigella is just otherworldly. Like an angel. :)
I ought to try that chicken recipe. I often try to use thighs instead of breasts. I'll bet those creamy merengue mountains can be good with guava paste in the middle! mmmmmmmm
@@pam0626 She's hungover. Meaning she just woke up. It's not that spicy. The tiny bit of spice there in the form of capsaicin is a pain reliever which would alleviate the discomfort after a hangover.
@@amy3971 Pam doesn’t like spicy food and there’s a lot of people like that! I’m not that big of a fan of spicy food but my family loves spicy food at any time! I still think this was early morning before the sun came out but Nigella eats like a real human being so she never goes hungry and neither do her guests!
Love love love revisiting Nigella's Christmas Kitchen every year. Completely getting enthused about Christmas, and it's only October! 💗💗

Picks up coriander, “Seen better days but then haven’t we all!” ❤❤❤

GREAT!!

The UK's answer to Martha Stewart, only much more relatable !
I like Martha, but they can't even compare. I mean Martha is more like a teacher who is nice, but firm lol. Nigella is just otherworldly. Like an angel. :)
You are a wonderful host
Mmm,from Massachusetts
I'M SO GLAD I LET YOU KNOW ON TWITTER OR FB THAT THE PICTURE QUALITY NEEDED IMPROVING AND IT DID!!
I love those beautiful little glasses that she put the mont blanc in. That lovely tinkly sound they make xx
So no one is going to comment on the fact that she carved out a secret den in a book to hide away some minced pies?
23:11 - when you hear it, you can't un-hear it .
It's very clever how they show Nigella's ghastly friends, so you don't feel too jealous!
I love
Wow remember when this was your only concern 😂😂😂😂
Anyone going to mention how she left the house with oven on😅😂
I often go out with food cooking in the oven. I walk my dog.
What do you think is going to happen?
Why mention it? It's literally what happened? Do your ovens use wood fires or something?
…If there is an electrical malfunction you can have a serious fire lol house fires happen all the time from ovens and dryers left unattended.
Oh look, joy and happiness, before they made us fear one another, I miss the old normal.
100 🎉
I'm carrying on with the oldies but goodies 🎉
Are the ingredients written?
❤💚❤
Sweet soy sauce = hoisin
No dear. Hoisin sauce contains sesame, garlic, vinegar, and sometimes chiles. Sweet soy sauce is just soy sauce and sugar reduced together.
Asian BBQ sauce

Chorizo, spring onions, tomatoes & black beans & cumin. I cannot imagine eating a dish this spicy before bed.
If you think that’s spicy in any capacity, I feel sorry for you.
@@amy3971 My point was that it is too spicy a dish to eat before bed.

@@itsgonnabeanaurfromme You’re right! When I first watched this, I thought it was nighttime in her kitchen.

OMG the blurry effect this video constantly uses is nauseating to watch.
You are so sweet
