It's really not that ridiculous. He was a super soldier created for a single purpose; fighting. And so the movie is about what such a being's existence might be like, especially if it is removed from the situation for which it was created.

At the risk of sounding like a boomer, I miss this era of anime where they didn't shy back from antiheroes that were both cool and morally ambiguous. Geist would very much be a monster in our society. Now a lot of anime try to make the protagonist as relatable as possible to an audience that mostly sits at home and so we get heaps of similar-looking, bland guys. People can shit on MD Geist, Hokuto no Ken, Cybernetics Guardian and similar anime all they want, I still find the protagonists of these anime way more interesting.
You don't sound like a boomer because very few boomers watch anime. Boomer refers to the postwar generation born from the late 40s until the early 60s. Most older anime fans would be the children or even grandchildren of boomers.

There is a lot of merit to making a character intentionally less relatable to its target audience. It would be a breath of fresh air to everyone to see a badass protagonist that is above their level, rather than lowered to our mundane one. Viewers who seek out anime like this do so as a brief respite from their problems. That said, there's nothing wrong with desiring a main character that you can sympathize with, but that's another topic entirely. I agree that characters like Geist are preposterously over the top, but that's why we like him. He's Dangerous, Most Dangerous. We strive to be, too.

He's so hellbent on destroying the Nexrum army that he'll do anything to achieve his goal, which was all successfully programmed into him by that weird scientist dude from the sequel. The real question is why tf the Nexrum army stays on Jerra instead of invading earth, which is never answered.

Violence Jack is one of the three parts of Fudo Akira's soul, hes also the manifestation of humanity's violence, he can keep reviving unless the violence on the human heart disppear, he can defeat Geist. the best fight imo would be Chirico Cuvie vs Geist.
