They really should make a MD Geist video game. Obviously it would be action packed. But I think being able to explore more of the world of Jerra and the characters would be really fun. I mean who actually is Geist. All we really know about him is that he was genetically engineered as a super soldier. Learning about Geist's past would be quite interesting. And not just Geist but Vaiya, Krutes, SAKAMOTO, and Krauser. Plus it would be awesome to explore more of the world of Jerra. What would you all want in a MD Geist video game?
Geist:I still remember when I faced that Demon Robot and the truth did not know that that thing had 3 transformations with different abilities just like that Sayayin's Nemesis
Geist: Well I admit that I almost died in the fight I had against that demon Robot that looked a bit like that Sayayin's nemesis, but even so, I managed to tear him to shreds discovering his weak points, in his first transformation I destroyed his armor with my blows stronger, in his second transformation I managed to stick my combat knife right in his head and finally and the most important thing was when I managed to destroy him completely in his third transformation thanks that I gave him an electrical surge that made him explode

The still shot of the huge robots at the end is a glimpse of the Death Force, which, although very central to the plot of MD Geist and it's less well done sequel, don't regretfully have that much screen time.
I just thought of something; since Jason Beck is dead now, I think David Hayter (Solid Snake) would be awesome for the new voice of MD Geist if there was a new anime or a video game. I'm pretty sure David Hayter would be an awesome choice for Geist.
Yeah, died in 2000, I actually wanna put together a small tribute just because he voiced this character. What's awesome is that he apparently was the answer machine voice for CPM and he did it in his Geist voice.
@cergeantbeanie So true. Jason Beck's deep sinister voice made Geist seem pretty dark and menacing. And he nailed it quite well. It's such a shame he died an untimely death in the early 2000s. But he has my respect. He was a great voice actor.
That Demon Robot design was done by Yasuhiro Moriki who worked on Metalloids and Megazords from Tokumei Sentai Gobusters, even Kaijukis and Alienizers in Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger, even Metarex Generals from Sonic X, XI Gundam and Penelope from Gundam Hathaway's Flash.
This is what pisses me off. The new 2013 re-edit doesn't have "Violence of the Flame" playing in the last half of the fight scene. It's the main reason why I loved the soundtrack, because of how it was delivered.
i like this battle so much.... the brute force and the ruthlessness - never found anything similar to G.E.I.S.T oh and of course the japanese synchro is badass! (i myself am german so i heard the english and the german dub as well-no competition at all.)
Personally, I'm not sure who I like better; Norio Wakamoto, or Kazuhiro Nakata. In all honesty, I think they were both awesome as MD Geist. But I have to give Nakata credit because he voiced the character in both the Directors Cut version of the first episode, and in the sequel. And also, I know this sounds crazy; but the robot that Geist fought here reminds me of Unicron from the Transformers universe for some reason.
when did he die? only thing I remember seeing is his helmet after his final fight with krouser. Is it a safe assumption that he died as well as krouser?
The music beginning around 4:06 is execrable. The original cut had a track which set cast a desperate gloom over the segment. This music makes it seem like a cheesy superhero rallying rather than a fight which clearly almost finished Mr. Geist. This music is far better suited for the credits only, this was an unfortunate choice in the director's cut.
man shout out to the dirty, grimy violent, fuck the plot lets just kill it to pieces anime of the 80s and 90s...stuff like this, Ninja Scroll, Guyver, AD Police...all that crazy shit
Man this fight scene is so intense right now
Most Dangerous.

MD Geist for Super Robot Wars' next Extra Small Unit.
it would have to be a hybrid between a hack n slash (like dmc) and a third person shooter (like vanquish)
GOLDEN ERA
Geist:I still remember when I faced that Demon Robot and the truth did not know that that thing had 3 transformations with different abilities just like that Sayayin's Nemesis
I love to become the most dangerous soldier to ever fight in a war known as MD geist

Man that was cool
Sayan's Nemesis? Who you mean?
The robot had three transformations just like Frieza and the last transformation of that robot was the most difficult to defeat. @@Fanfiktion1988
ppl hate on this (and really hate the sequel), but these shots with the eyes is TOO CLEAN. Love it! The music syncs up perfectly too.

i don't get what's to hate on this. I love md geist.
I agree. Personally, I think MD Geist, while it has its issues, did not deserve all the negative bashing its gotten.
He's totally not a simp either. The main woman offered him her body, but he told her he only needed what was in her head!
@@fishyfaceismJust new generations envying the amazing, far superior, actually masculine style of oldskool REAL anime.

One of the greatest Anime of all time.

Geist:The best battle I've ever had in my whole life
Then it wasn't enough he had to unleash Death Force
Yep he sure did unleashed death Force
CJ DaChamp needs to make a black airforce episode about md-02, more people need to know about this hidden gem
It's a shame he's dead, and he didn't appear to do much other work. Still, he'll live on as my most favourite anime character.

That scream at the end...
This brings back memories of my childhood watching this!
Yeah, how i pretend to be MD Geist and kick my classmate's ass.

We Need a reboot of this Anime .
The closest thing we’ll get to a Warhammer40K anime

@ninjachipzanuff Central Park Media, the reason Geist ended up being known.
I haven't watched this since I was a kid and I can't stream it anywhere
DEAD...!? AH, you gotta be shittin' me!? damn... can't think of Geist without hearin' his voice...
"The game's not over yet. It's just beginning."
That's a cool little tidbit, I haven't seen those in a long time anyway.
I think the guy voicing Col. Krutes in this Japanese re-dub also voiced Raoh in the new Hokuto No Ken movies. It definitely sounds like him.

Sorry but that's because that version is based on the 1986 version's soundtrack, in which Violence of the Flame is saved for the end credits.

Final Striker, if I recall correctly, love that mech/bot
スーパーロボット大戦参戦してほしいです。
I still think Jason Beck takes the cake with Geist's voice... he sounds completely cold, the way Geist should be...
This is how terminator salvation should of been
Nah, this is nothing like Terminator.

are you ever going post the two the two MD geist ovas with the director's cut with english sub?
because i can't find them anywhere on the internet.

Not much fighting for a fight scene
