What size spin n glos are you running behind those dodgers/paddles? I've found on Superior that a #2 spin n glo paired with a chasin tails 2" slider fly and a #2 VMC hook works great tipped with a smelt head.

I hear people say that, but they boil up so good in salted water, and the fat content makes for great smoking,. Similar to brown trout.
