- Wow. Just wow. I beat and recorded WELL RESTED a few weeks ago already, but I still remember the goosebumps I got playing this for the first time. When watching, you may be asking yourself what's so hype about this level, but the length should give you a clue. There's a massive buildup before the climax of the level, which happens at 3:50. This is where I got goosebumps while playing. The level goes 4:3 aspect ratio before and after this, which limits your sight a lot. Expanding to 16:9, as well as the awesome visuals, on top of the song's climax is probably one of the greatest single moments I've experienced in Geometry Dash in a very long time, if not ever. If watching it in video form didn't hit you that hard, I recommend trying it out for yourself. If it doesn't hit there either, I don't know what will do it for you to be honest.
I think that first paragraph accurately describes my opinions on this level as a whole. Goosebumps. It's always awesome to see creators make very lengthy levels with consistently great visuals throughout. However, how often do we see one that's over 7 minutes long? Very rarely. I've never uploaded any showcase this long at least in my entire time on UA-cam, which is over 1500 videos of most of the best levels in the game.
Besides the length, I love how this feels like the accumulation of all of overdefo's creating skills thus far. You can definitely see a lot of parts that look like previous levels of his. Some of them even drag on a bit long in terms of length as singular parts. However, that doesn't matter when it's over 7 minutes long. There's so much to unpack here, and it's all perfectly synchronized to a great song by Kero Kero Bonito. Note that this is not on Newgrounds, but overdefo had Undervania make a remix of it to put on Newgrounds, so it should synchronize nonetheless.
As for the gameplay, I found it very enjoyable just like most of overdefo's levels. He did a great job making this clear and sightreadable, and I assume all the playtesters did a great job helping with that too. There's a lot of different types of gameplay from part to part, so I never got bored trying to beat this. I did have several deaths far in, but replaying it was no issue. Being able to experience the climax over and over never got old. It's just so satisfying. This is definitely a level you should go and try out yourself. All in all, this can't get anything but an Epic rating. With the length, it may end up as a Medium Demon. Besides that, I hope this gets a lot of attention and is remembered for a very long time. It definitely deserves it.

god this really is the masterpiece, genuine chills down my spine from watching this. Especially live the subtle use of different screen widths to create even more progression.
I never knew I needed/wanted to play a game I never knew of until I saw this. This is one of my favorite songs of all time and this level is matched to it? Absolute heaven.

i feel like this is the culmination of what can be achieved in this update if you put your mind to it, and i'm starting to believe that deffy is somewhat of a movement alongside just generally being a fantastic creator. like you just feel this sense of "oh shit, if he can do THAT, then i can do whatever i want too!" and it feels very motivating

no doubt, this level will become one of the benchmarks of the GD creating community, the same as works like white space, death moon, nhelv. i was one of the lucky few who playtested the level, and my god is the experience incredible. perfect, golden balance between maximalism and minimalism, kudos to overdefo for making this masterpiece

it is so nice to see someone make a level with a a kero kero bonito song, and its amazing to see that this is the level. This is so well designed and beautiful. It’s also very fun. Probably my favorite level of all time now.

Overdefo releasing his masterpiece with one of my favorite songs of all time on my birthday is probably better than any present I could have been given today. Kero Kero Bonito is by FAR the most in love I've ever been with an artist/band, and on top of that he used their longest song. I'm unbelievably happy, and this level is AMAZING!!

Well rested has better decoration all the way through and it's way longer than white space therefore white space wins.
this is literally one of my favorite levels of this year and maybe of all time. i even did a double take when i saw the levels runtime because i was literally entranced the entire time. awesome work overdefo! i’ve been a harsh critic of your work in the past but you’ve outdone yourself with this one!
My favorite level of the year, not even close. The progression is handled masterfully, keeping level entertaining and engaging from start to finish, each small detail has purpose and function. The song choice is a banger too. Deffie has absolutely popped off with this one.
Oh Blackbird 123 still beats this level, but it’s definitely my second favorite

This is probably the most inspirational level I've ever seen in this game, makes me think I could do anything in the editor if I wanted. Absolutely phenomenal
i was blessed enough to be able to watch this masterpiece come together. deffy is one of a kind, so much respect and love
being in vc with deffy almost everyday during the building process was something for sure. he churned out this project in about 3 MONTHS, which is a massive feat for a level of this caliber. im accustomed to him quickly finishing levels and such, like the hills have eyes was made in a week, but this is beyond.
this level truely cements deffies sheer talent and creativity, and i love to fucking see it dude. godspeed you glorious bastard.

the visuals are just perfect and give me such goosebumps, i love them. the drop just hits you like a blast. the gameplay is mostly good, but there are some unsynced parts, and some parts where either it's really hard to see or sort of unfair.

As someone who has seen this already, buckle up
In all my years playing GD I dare to say that without a doubt this level perfectly represents a song. I know there are levels that also do the same thing but this level manages to go even further and it's not only 3 minutes of song, it's the WHOLE SONG and it does it in an incredible and impeccable way that makes you feel like you're within the level. There are many things that I would love to be able to say about this level but I think that just saying that this is overdefo's Magnum Opus is more than enough for me.
And something extra that I would like to say is that I love how overdefo can make a decoration of leaves so well done, I had never really seen a creator make leaves as well as he only knows how to do c:

Wow. It's amazing to have a level this long to have consistently stunning visuals that fit the song really well all the way! The level of creativity in this one just hits me differently, it doesn't feel like a gd level to me if that even makes sense. This alone made me a big fan of overdefo. What a talented person. Damn.

honestly with the amount of detail in this level and the length, i was really surprised with how the drop made me feel haha, i was like "wow this looks incredibly optimized, and ofc for a long level, so why does it feel so cool?" and ofc i didn't even realize the boundaries on the screen until i read the description, it's crazy how much of an effect that can have on the mood of the level. super great to see something like this

You geniuenly know a level is insanely good when every part fits with the previous one perfectly, looks absolutely stunning and does something interesting at the same time. Deffy is definitely an incredible creator, but this hits much harder than any of his other projects in my opinion.

i was looking at the gd_today top 100 levels list, and aside from my favorite level I have beaten being number one (Death Moon), I also saw this level very high up and recognized the name and thought: "Is this the kkb song?" which just so happens to be one of my favorite songs from kkb which is who I have been almost exclusively been listening to for like a month (Since discovering their newer music). I wasn't sure what difficulty it was, so I checked the gddp (what I go off of to beat demons) and saw if it was there and it was medium demon; i have beaten basically every easy demon on the gddp, some of which should probably be rated medium demon, so I get to experience this soon in my progression. ALSO my favorite levels are by far XL levels, but I'd been waiting for a chance to play like an XXL or smth, which this level is.
tl;dr: This level is on the gddp (where I get my demons from) on like the perfect difficulty that means I will play this very soon, and it uses a song I love from kkb who I am basically only listening to right now, AND is an XXL (I *LOVE* XL levels and really have been wanting to be able to play an XXL).
