- I've seen a couple of ItzKiba's past works, such as Shardscapes and his parts in some collaborations like ILLUSION OF SPACE. They've normally been on the harder side, so I haven't uploaded many of his works on the channel yet, but this one's a bit easier. Due to the very long length, it will probably be a Medium Demon, but every part is quite easy on their own.
It's pretty hype that the first solo level I upload by him is most likely his best. I can agree from what I've seen, and he seems to think so himself judging by his profile comment too. Each part in this may not be anything outstanding, but this is a great example of a level being greater than the sum of its parts. The length is comparable to your typical "Travel" level, so there's a big amount of parts in here. However, in contrast to those levels, this doesn't change theme and/or style completely from part to part. It's got a consistent nature theme with a clear progression throughout, which I'm personally more of a fan of. You start in grassy lands on ground, but you find yourself in heaven in the climax. This starts 2:51 into the level, and the payoff to get this far definitely feels worth it to me. For one, like Well Rested, this experiments with aspect ratio throughout, and of course that means going into fullscreen at the climax. While it doesn't hit as hard here compared to Well Rested, it's still a very good tool that I'd like to see more creators apply. It has only really been done a few times to my knowledge.
As for gameplay, this is not too tricky from part to part as mentioned before. What makes this worthy of a Medium Demon rating is the length and having to endure that flawlessly. However, there's one part I'm not a huge fan of in terms of gameplay, which is the heaven part at 3:19. It's not really because of the gameplay, though, but rather the visuals used. There are different layers of pillars passing by in the foreground, and these obscure the gameplay enough to make it harder to sightread. No other part has this issue, which makes it stand out in a bit of a negative way to me. It does make the climax the hardest part, but I think that could have been done without obscuring the gameplay. The part before, for example, does it fine. Overall, though, this is an enjoyable level with great theming and progression, so I think it deserves an Epic Medium Demon rating.

fix shardscapes ending noob
with near-perfect atmosphere, song-representation, and progression, this exudes that feeling of "completeness" I really only see in a few levels today. No single thread is left untouched, everything fits together in such a beautiful cohesive package. Normally, when looking at levels, I start dreaming about what a level could do better/differently. Better color harmony, perhaps, or maybe more fun gameplay? Not here. This level has everything it needs and wants already built in. It's amazing the way it is.

this has so much charm to it even though it's super simple visually. Shows you can make a really nice level while keeping things simple. Matches the song so well too

Just watching this video, this might be one of my favorite levels in the game. It's the exact right mix of minimalist and decorated. Also, nice homage to Dark Travel/Odyssey at 3:50.
This level is so neat, the green and brown contrast isn’t used nearly enough in simple style levels, and this does it well. Banger designs, simple but eye catching.

Dang, the atmosphere is really strong for this one. The "border" effect is also adds so much, it make that (ig drop) section hit so much harder. Amazing level.

Plummet has always been one of onefin’s most underrated songs in my opinion, I’m glad it finally gets something that can match its greatness!

Perfect level. I especially like the way the creator uses objects differently than everyone else. Trees are made of clouds, and the small tips of the columns are small twisting curls.

This level is really cool and has a lot of great parts, but strangely enough my favorite aspect is in the part at 2:23, when the Xs over the fake orbs light up as lightning strikes. Just one tiny detail is enough to take a level up a notch, and this one is full of tiny details like that.

This is incredible. The atmosphere is so well done, and while simplistic, the visuals are also amazing.
This might be a hot take but I think this level did a better job at executing its progression than Well Rested did, and Well Rested is one of my favorite levels of the year

This level does so well justice to its song imo. Everything here, from the layout to the deco works hand-in-hand with the song to deliver a wonderful & complete experience that's so satisfying to watch. Definitely one of my very favorite releases this year, if not ever

Even tho the screen borders weren´t the main focus of the level they added so much which I absolutely love, also reminds me of how awesome the camera controls alone will be from 2.2 and what people will create with them or even I myself at that point

I released my last 2.1 level a few months ago it’s 5 minutes long, and I wanted come back to this level to compare it to this level, but instead I found similarities, they are both heaven themed, really dark and bright in both aspects, and they have good art, and messages. Itzkiba made a masterpiece and it’s amazing. I just hope my level gets noticed too. (Also for some reason a lot of people said that my level ethereal travel should get epic, I just hope it gets rated let alone noticed)

This level is impossible on 60hz right? The yellow jump pads in the robot around 50% just straight up don't work. It's not just because of the bugs, but I really don't get why people like this level. They try to say that the coin route is the one you do if you want difficulty but then there are frame perfects at the end that just make it bs instead of fun. And then the easy route is just kind of boring, along with a 5 minute run time that makes it pretty unbearable to play unless you get it first try. I might still agree with the epic rating despite all this, but it should not be weekly.
with 90hz and 60hz I never had a problem with this level, the pads respond correctly. Something that is really annoying, are the pillars of 03:20, most of the time I lose due to lack of vision of the structures.
