You combined a Christmas song my wife absolutely hates with a band that my wife absolutely hates. I made her listen to it. Fantastic work!
🤣
🙏
Who the fuck hates AC/DC?
He means Brenda Lee
She probably hated it so much that she loved it lol!
For those about to rock around the Christmas tree, we salute you.
It takes talent and a warped mind to pull this off. Well done
It may also take a warped mind to appreciate it?
@@SecretAgent-p8x true that, I count myself in that group
Warped mind? Nawwww… just a very creative and talented artist.
Don't know if I should love this or hate it!🤯
@@SecretAgent-p8x Naaahhhh! Don't say that! 😄
Fun fact: my dad has never liked AC/DC music and never will - but he and I listened to this mashup together and absolutely laughed ourselves sick! Good work, Mr. McClintock 👏
The clips of Brenda Lee almost starting to sing at the start had me howling.
Wizardry
Her just standing there smiling instead 🤣 😂
The content ID system will be in a meltdown working this one out
Bill Against The Royalty Machine
@@SviatoslavKaverin We need that song to the tune of Bill Nye the science guy.
Bon Scott screaming over Brenda Lee made me spit out my coffee, this is freaking classic!
absolutely !!!
1:32 😂😂😂 haha mee too! Actually im looking for someone who noticed it also. 😂 I dying in giggles 😂🤭🤦
You did it again brother. You never cease to amaze me. Bill is the greatest mashup artist on the internet.
May I correct you - on this planet
There is no one quite like Sir Bill
@@mikakettunen7939 The internet is the WORLD WIDE web. Lol
WORD
@@Frankybroadcast Truth you speak - amen brother \,,/
"Have a happy holiday! YEEEAAAAARGH!" had me laughing so hard I missed the second half of the song.
I have spent the last 3 hours sifting through this channel having the time of my life. I had no clue what I had stumbled upon... it was like finding a soulmate. In my 24 years of living so far, and with SO MUCH of that time spent consuming UA-cam content, no channel has ever made me feel this way. I am convinced this is the greatest UA-cam channel of all time. Thank you, Bill McClintock.
I approve, and cosign!❤
This was actually brilliant. The song really works. This should become the next Christmas classic. 😄
The vocal rhythm!!! Unexpected mash-up gold.
2:40 the guitar riff made me LOL so hard - Amazing, as always!!
I haven't heard anything this good in a long time, Bon will always be my favorite Santa. ❤
Omg. That Bon Scott scream in the middle was awesome ❤
Great video!
❤❤❤
I never thought I'd hear a Bon Scott acream, fit so perfectly in a Christmas Tune. Man I love this! AND how perfectly does this fit together!
Every release is an instant classic that I share with everyone. I would love to hear any of these on the radio! Bring back Dr Demento!
I heard this song on a Toronto radio station. I've heard them play a few of Bill's mashups.
The Bon Scott bit at 1:30! LOL! Perfection.
The Brenda Lee Metal Christmas album always ranked right up there with Pat Boone and No More Mister Nice Guy. I mean, when you can get Dio to sing backing vocals while you cover his track….. That album might be the very birth of mashup music.
Merry Christmas, Bill!
Don't give me that hope/fear. Link plz
@@artistwithouttalent Pat Boone's metal album: ua-cam.com/play/OLAK5uy_mf_mdzl_BPV2FKBL6VRWCsdUdSOLkLKfI.html&si=lgdfInk2BhlTtjw2
this is WAY better than what pat boone ever did.
One thing that's really cool for Brenda Lee is that "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" is currently the #1 song on the Billboard chart (her 3rd #1 of her career)! This makes her the oldest artist (male or female) to top the chart. The song was originally #1 in 1958, but that was on Billboard's separate "holiday" chart, with those songs not being eligible for the Top 40. Billboard modified that rule in 2012, which is also why Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" has been #1 for four of the last five years during the holiday season.
Do charts matter anymore? Are they still used to factor in sales of said song? Or is just replay value (UA-cam, iTunes music, Spotify, etc)
@@drewzalo Maybe the Top 10 matters. Whenever a new album that hits the Top 3 on the album charts has eight or nine songs in the Top 40. It less to do with radio play as it does with digital sales.
@@claymccoy correct, that’s all I was leading to. Thank you
@@drewzalo I kinda think they might, I really don't know for sure. Back in the late 90s/early 00s, thanks to state-of-the-art CD burning technology, I made CD sets with every #1 hit from 1950 to 99 (separated by decade), so obviously I put a lot of stock in them. For some reason around that time, I found myself not liking a majority of what hit the charts (then and since) and I lost interest in making the sets. I can only conclude that either the music dramatically changed or I just got old without knowing it. 😆
(Apologies for rambling on, I definitely didn't answer your question very well.)
Weird, I had one of those collections of every Billboard Top 100 (& Top 30 for those years prior), & didn't like most of the top songs for any year, ever.
I think the standout for me, from the oldies, was _If I Knew You Were Comin' I'd've Baked a Cake._
Most of the top selling '70s & '80s & even '60s & '90s stuff, was pablum or dreck.
Your genius only grows each year. Mariah and Marilyn make room for a new dynamic duo!
I have been raving about Bill for years, and have made it my personal mission to spread his genius among as many people (particularly my students) as humanly possible. This latest mashupiece proves why he is the master of the craft, as everyone else uses Back in Black, but he not only chose a different song; he mashed it with such a different song/genre.
01:19 is a great example of just why this mashup is so brilliant.
The guitar riff actually improves the original song. Makes it seems less without it.
Holy heck, this is INSTANTLY a holiday classic!!! 😂🤣🪦
Usually when these are released my instinct says “nah I don’t feel like a song right now,” but they never disappoint.
These satisfy all year long...
Ho, ho, ho, ....done dirt cheap!
The audio engineering done on this mashup is nothing short of brilliant! Thank you for spending what must have been a hundred hours or more to make us all smile.
It's Christmas Eve - I shouldn't be watching this, let along laughing my fool head off. Maybe Santa won't notice! 🙂
There is some masterful tweaking going on in this mash-up. Its not just one song over another.
Over the last couple of days, I have listened to quite a few other mashups from three other channels and I have to say - none of them - and I mean NONE of them - come close to how amazing your mashups are! I listen to those others and just shake my head at their attempts. You, Bill, ARE the BEST at this!!!!
I've been doing the same thing, he deserves a tremendous amount of credit. If participation trophies are handed out to everyone, then he deserves an award with a ceremony behind it.
Nailed it
🎄
The Christmas present we didn't know we needed...thank you Bill!
This is the best Christmas song ever!!
Absolutely brilliant!!! The parts with Bon screaming make laugh out loud every time.
Adding this to my Christmas song collection!!
My music theory is very, very rusty but it appears that you did some modal magic by taking an ominous minor key melody and playing it over a different major key rhythm. Thus making AC/DC sound...dare I say...holly and perhaps even jolly! You truly are a wizard
Keep in mind every major key has a “relative minor” key, where the notes comprising each key are actually the same. Eg the notes that make up C major are exactly the same as those that make up A natural minor. Same for F major and D minor etc. jump down a minor third from any major key and you’re there (only works for natural minor). That could be what he did here.
@@Dasein23 If you did that the melody would still stress the "wrong" notes. Luckily with modern software it's easy to maintain the same tonal centre and just pitch shift the relevant notes - minor thirds into major thirds etc.
I think you might be right here. I can hear the pitch shifting going on.
I just imagine Mercyful fate with something really awesome contrast different and cool.
Bill: " Hold my beer".
The way that these melodies and riffs resolve is so satisfying. The way the chorus resolves and the chord changes ... It's all just so perfect.
Thanks Bill, This will be a Christmas classic for years to come😃
Just when we think you have topped out, this mashup is brilliant. Who would have thought Brenda Lee & AcDc amazing work!
The well placed screams kill me. This is unreal, man!
Definitely a fan of your mashups. The way you seamlessly mix them together is totally amazing! This creation however, is clearly the capstone. Your handiwork on it is unbelievable. The way you have taken two polar opposites and made it work, blows my mind. I think the highlight is hearing ACDC sing at this tempo. I especially love the very ending and how well it works.
Bon Scott...is.... Rolling over. In his..... well you know 😫😂
I shouldn't be laughing this hard, but I am! This is pure gold
Conflicted,,, should not be together , but is GOLD well done again!
Amazing! The isolation of bon Scott vocal!!! And that’s the best saxophone solo ever recorded!
This is just simply amazing! I never expected Dirty Deeds to be a lounge number. You've made it work so well.
Bon screaming at 1:32 was epic. Just a great send up all around.
We set up our tree Sunday. I played All I Want for Christmas is the Beautiful People. I thought to myself Bill hasn't released a Christmas hit this year. Again, he did not disappoint.
This is easily my new favorite Christmas song of all time!
THIS is what I want to hear when I'm walking around Wal-Mart!!
I mean, it's one thing to mix music together seamlessly, but to mix the video as well? Very impressive! To mix Brenda Lee and AC/DC together is something even I thought you would not do! Cannot wait to hear what else you come up with!
It's not just the seamless mixing that is typical for a mashup, this includes so much pitch changing that it must really be one hell of a work.
X2
🤣🤣🤣 omg, this is awesome! AC⚡️DC is my favorite band! Great job!
Un fugging believable. This mashup beyond works. You sir are brilliant.
I remember this song pumping out of the stereo console, coming in over the sweet, sweet AM waves, as a kid. Huddling around the tree, waiting with anticipation for the Dunder Chief to bring us gifts for our big holiday balls, which were always bouncing of course.
I am glad I'm not the only person who heard the words Dunder Chief as a kid. I somehow thought Dirty Deeds was some kind of pulp hero and the Dunder Chief was like... the bad guy of this issue. I was not a clever child.
Balls were always bouncing; longtime AC/DC fans saw what you did there...
George Martin, Phil Spector, Jack Douglas…. all must kneel in honor of the great Bill McClintock. A f*cking masterpiece man! ✌🏼
Once again, this has no right to work so well! You are a master of your art, Mr McClintock.
RIP Bon Scott. Brilliant smashup.
It's uncanny how well those two, very different, songs merged.
This is really, really good. I wonder how many combinations he gets started that for whatever reason turn out to not be able to mash together. There's no way it could always sound so great like his finished projects always do, must be a heck of a lot of work that we never get to see/hear cuz it just didn't measure up.
He's got a great interview video somewhere that he discusses his method for finding combinations and it starts with going through resources like karaoke lists that show the key and bpm for each song. Once you have a bunch of songs in the same key and tempo, its just a matter of finding the most fun combinations.
The scream just after 1:30... perfect
This slaps in an aesthetic, philosophical and cultural way. Blessed be those who hear these angels sing
This is so good, I had to come back to watch this again, again and again.
My new favourite Christmas song.
Ok, NOW I'm in the holiday spirit 😂 Brilliant as always- thank you, Bill!
Dude, the editing in this is just amazing. The guitarist suddenly rolling on the floor? LOL.
The guitarist?!?! Angus Young newb! How is there a human out there that doesnt know his name?
@@SSMLivingPictures No shit sherlock. I knew who Angus was before you were born.
Nothing I said in my comment indicated I didn't know who he was. I said it was hilarious how the editor cut to him rolling on the floor. Pay attention dumbass, I mean NEWB!
@@SSMLivingPictures How do you know Joshua didn't know his name? The phrase is funnier when worded that way, "The guitarist suddenly rolling on the floor."
@@shiroibasketshoes Respectfully disagree. Angus suddenly rolling on the floor was the funnier line haha
@@SSMLivingPictures OK. Santa gives Angus a new guitar, but slips and falls on red, green and white marbles Angus rolled across the floor.
Omg , another classic.thank you.
You have tremendous talent, turning a very raunchy song that would make you lock up your daughter to a christmas record you could play with the in laws around just after noddy holder and bony M, you are amazing, thankyou so much for posting, this will be on the playlist just after Grandma got run over by a reindeer this year!
Brilliance! So clever whoever did these!!🍉🪇🍀🩵
This is why I can't drink coffee around my workstation... too many spit takes and LOLs on this one. Truly a Christmas miracle.
Это были мелодии и ритмы зарубежной эстрады. С новым 1978 годом, товарищи!
Happy Christmas, Russkie!
This made me smile, possibly the most family-friendly version of Dirty Deeds ever composed!
I haven't stopped smiling since that saxophone hit.
It makes me happy that 1:34 is the most rewatched part of the video acording to the little bar at the bottom.
The way you adjust vocal notes to match the opposing music is incredible...and not just this track. Bravo.
this is amazing... long time fan of ac/dc since 1979. You nailed it!
This now my most favorite Christmas song of all time!❤😎
Another amazing Christmas gift from the master! Going to loop this so I can listen to this with my coworkers.
The Classic Metal Show brought me here...GENIUS WORK...Love it !!
If only Bon Scott and Brenda Lee actually sang this together. This is a masterpiece.
Bill, this is the greatest Christmas mashup!!!!!!! Timeless.
Just...how?!?!? It's absolutely perfect! 😂
Its the Christmas classics that always get me in the holiday spirit.
Angus' faces when Brenda sing are pure Gold!
This is perfect for the holidays! Thank you Bill!
Once again, absolute perfection. Bill McClintock takes us into dimensions we didn't know existed. Thank you
Oh wow - the best X-Mas mashup you will ever hear ! Fantastic. 🤘🎸🎄
Bon Scott's scream in the bridge gets me everytime
1:33
A Toronto radio station played this mashup the other day. They've played a few of Bill's mashups and always shout out this channel when they do. (102.1 The Edge Toronto)
Wow. Dirty Deeds is so clean sounding and family friendly here. I'm impressed.
Oh man, thanks for this. I'm really in the holiday spirit now. That was literally and figuratively pitch perfect. I'm sure Bon and Brenda would be so proud!
Brenda is still very much with us, so perhaps we'll find out!
@@simonbone And the song just hit #1 for the first time, so she's going strong at almost 80!
Instant Classic. What a way to celebrate the season, thanks Bill and have a great holiday season yourself brother
The multiple cuts to Brenda helplessly, politely not-singing are crackin' me up.
Right there with you! 😂
I really believe that Brenda Lee would be amused by this mash-up. She has a great sense of humor!
You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear...right into an Angus guitar lick. BRILLIANT!
Best moment 2:38 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you again Bill and Merry Christmas 😂
Absolutely amazing! This will be the song of the season.
Unequivocally the best Christmas song of the season
God bless bill mcClintock 🙏 the videos are on par with the magic
My new favorite Christmas song. You always impress and this one is no exception. Thanks for what you do Bill.🤘🎅
An instant Christmas classic!
Its a Festivus Miracle!
OMFG amazing how they fit. That is genius
I cannot begin to comprehend how much musical knowledge/memory you'd have to have to think to put these two songs together like this! Way to go!
This needs to be playing on the in-store speakers around the country. I'm sure they can ditch one of the six versions of Frosty they play everyday for this masterpiece.
I concur!
I can’t believe how phenomenal this is!!
Bill you are a freaking genius! This is an instant Christmas classic
This is totally stuck in my head now, cant get it out. It can't be unheard! LOL
As a Bon Scott fan, I appreciate a lot (and he would have too probably). The Angus and Bon appearances over B Lee are spot on. Congrats.
