I'm a mobile marine tech too Justin, I've been working for myself for close to 20 years now, I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay and serviced boats there in the Solomon's and Annapolis area until 2008 until I moved to NC and now I service them on Lake Norman, the biggest man made lake in NC, I always wanted to do videos like you but, I'm not a talker, keepum going brother!
Likewise bro. I'm a mobile mechanic out here in Utah. Wow I got it easy man! We don't run boats like that. Mostly I/O some outbourd. Love the easy part of the year with winterizing. The downside is the 4 months of winter. I also only do a 30 min drive radius from salt lake. Man those 1 1/2 hr drives would kill me
Born in SE Fla and owned 15 boats over 40 yrs. I am Not mechanical with car, houses, boats, cycles, or computers.. I do Learn from the Simple stuff explained, thank you. Now I too can look for a fuse or thermostat.
Thanks to your videos I have the confidence to tackle some projects on my Sea Ray 320. I replaced the battery charger this week and will be doing some electronic upgrades. I will be doing all routine maintenance. I appreciate the boat more now that I understand more about its systems. Thanks for your great videos.
Great video! 30 year truck mechanic here . I laugh when you Florida guys complain about the heat 😅 Im up here in Toronto Canada and we just complain about the minus 30 temps . Thats why I spend my vacations in Sarasota area . 😊
I’m surprised you didn’t try to clean the filters or the pick up on the dual motors that would not pee. I guess I’m more surprised that the owner didn’t
Hello Justin, First of all I want to let you know how much I enjoy watching your videos, they are very informative. I do have one quick question that I have yet to get the answer to from anyone. I have a 2022 378 Pursuit purchased in March of this year. I am having trouble with the windless anchor road when pulling anchor it binds up on the bottom side of the windless right at the exit point. You can not retrieve anchor without constantly pulling the rope from underneath. Have you seen this issue? My boat is in Fort Lauderdale and I am having trouble getting tech out to check it. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the rope. Thank You for sharing your knowledge with us, keep up the good work.
Thank you. I appreciate that. I would definitely see what rope is installed. Check the size and then check what size the windlass calls for. It's also better to have an 8 plait rope in my opinion. It seems to lay down better in the locker. Keep me posted and thanks again.
Thank you. I was just asking because I'm attending school for outboards and was interested in becoming a mobile tech. I see that they have jaltest and Texa as an option. Do you use any of those?@@JustinLeeMarine
I only use the OEM software that the manufacturer provides. I have heard of both of those and I'm sure they work great. Just depends on where you work and what manufacturers they deal with. Good question and thanks 🙂
I call it a dongle. Lol. It's just a Bluetooth device you get from Yamaha. You have to be a dealer to use it because it requires a dealer number to set up. This is the part number. MAR-BT1ED-R4-00
@@JustinLeeMarine Ok thanks bud the reason I ask yesterday I was out on the water I got a check engine light ,so on my way back heading back to the Marina the boat cut off on idle ..so I went into the settings warning Manager and it says “ port engine
@@JustinLeeMarine So there was no code stored the only thing it say under Warning Manager was port engine…. so I decided to change the fuel water separator + fuel filter + medium pressure fuel filter, Then took it out and it ran perfect …again I appreciate the videos u do it truly helps a-lot thanks again bud
I appreciate that. The only way to have me work on your boat is to buy it from Quality as I work for them. We only service or repair the boats we sell. Thanks for watching. ☺️
Must be nice to have the kind of money to call out a mobile mechanic for a blown fuse 😂😂

I like the mobile part of the job. You meet a lot of people and get to travel to new places. NC is a beautiful state. ☺️

Hi Justin, Great Content on your channel. Most boaters have no idea how difficult a seemingly simple repair on a boat can be.
Thank you and thanks for watching ☺️

How you made out fixing your sea ray?
Always learning something from your videos. Keep up the good work Justin!
The boat version of eric the car guy! 👍
Lightning strike capital of the world, with an aptly named hockey team!
Very true.

Just had the same problem with the windlass on a customers boat haha. As soon as you tried it it I’m like I know what that is!
Fine video. Amazing how well you navigate through the insane spaghetti melange of wires behind the helm station. Hope you had a happy Fourth of July.
Thank you and thank you. My holiday was good. Hope yours was too. ☺️
I love that the radiator hose is held on by a zip-tie... NASA ingenuity
I’m a mobile marine tech in the Caribbean you make it look like a easy career 😢
Busy day... boat sales are booming.... job security...👍
Boat sales have been down alot for year.
Wow what a gig . Seems like you drive more than diagnose

That’s crazy that both motors won’t pee
I'm bummed you're with MarineMax now, I'm about to take delivery from QB in CW and would be honored for you to service my boat!
Thank you and I'm sorry. I'm sure they will take care of you at QB. It's a good company. 😊

You only worked liked 15 minutes? Lol

I’m surprised the boat that was hit by lightening doesn’t have volt meters.
dmn, do they call you "Easy Money" around those parts?
Very nice content! What diagnostic program do you use?
Thank you. Yamaha and Mercury are dealer software. Volvo I use Diacom.

That's the name of the game in boat mechanics. Prob cost over 1000 tpp
Too
I'm not sure as I get paid by the hour. It's not cheap I know that. Most of what I do is warranty or insurance. Fun new stuff😃
@@JustinLeeMarine not you specifically. The company charges like that
Not saying its wrong just saying thats the way it is. Im in sarasota and have had my share of 20 min 1000 dollars charges

i thought the wiring on a 700k plus boat would look better

Question what is the best Marine diagnosis tool I can use for multiple engines (gas or diesel) and brands?
Diacom is the only one I know that does multiple different engines.
What do you charge for service calls out of curiosity
Marine Max charges 225 for the service call and we are 199 an hour.
What scanner do you use?
Diacom for Volvo, Yamaha has their own software.
My buddy has been trying to locate you for some business. How do we find you?

lol I wondered why this looked familiar. Ben Mallahs channel is renovating the house next door to hulk hogans former property.
What bridge was that?
