With Jade, I think that the old saying "know your jeweler" applies. I've bought a couple of pieces in HK from the big stores. They said the same thing that he said. But if you want to go to Burma to buy Jadeite, then that takes a lot of skill and the right equipment to look at it under microscope and spectrascope to see if it has been treated. Some ppl use UV flashlights to spot the resin and dyes. But I hear that they've caught on to that and changed the chemicals. There are some good labs in HK that use ramen spectrometer s like the GIA. It's easier if the seller has a certificate already. Then you can verify it. I'm glad that these guys are here so that we can have some good quality jadeite here in America.
its stupid that she calls fake jade another name too and scared others off. Jade needs to be reword to make it ez to understand like Gold. Its Fake Gold vs Real Gold. AND THEN its 10k, 14k, 18k, 22k, and 24k we dont need to know how much metals are in gold or what is 9999 gold.....so stupid and not on point to get new people into it. Diamond is just as confusing....cuz now they have lab grown. It should just be call Real Fake and Artificial then the grade of each layout similar to understand like gold.
Nice, i have Canadian jade. Use it work, im a diesel mechanic and a concrete forman. Knock on wood, but my bangle has not cracked. Its been wacked a few good times also.
Well, my Canadian jade cracked. A peice cracked off. But a 15 amp circular saw with a new diablo blade hit it. I was cutting wood and some one bumbed me, i fell forward and the saw bounced off my bangle. Only a small peice cracked, i cant take it off so i smooth out the sharp peice with my dremel. That showed that "the jade store" from Canada sells real un treated jade. The bangle was $500 Canadian but saved my arm. Truly lucky jade, and i wont take it off.
I ordered jade roller today from dromen &co. It is not shiny and it's opaque so I'm really Inconfident that it would be original. But at the same time it has a soapy fell and cool to touch too. I would really appreciate it if you could clear my doubts with your knowledge!
Hey there! I’m not very familiar with that particular brand. I do trust Jade Mine (jademine.com) who sells a real Canadian Jade (Nephrite) facial roller for $89.98 USD. That’s a fair price I think for a genuine nephrite jade roller, so I’d be a little suspicious of anything cheaper than that claiming to be ‘real’ jade. But the only way to know for sure is to have it tested by a gemologist, preferably a jade expert like Mason-Kay.
Excellent video.
The internal structure of good quality jade is very fine and smooth

Wow! How fascinating, thank you for sharing!!!
Information is good, but you need to keep the pictures up for a much longer time...its helpful when you are talking about a specific stone.
Hi there! Thank you for your feedback. If you would like to look at an image longer, I recommend pausing the video.
Can I send you a picture of my purchase jade?

Thought Jadeite is harder than Nephrite?
Hi there! Jadeite is harder to scratch, but nephrite is harder to break. Hope that helps!
It's harder to scratch, you mean.
