- MBY deputy editor Jack Haines was loaned a Saxdor 200 Sport with a 175hp Mercury V6 for a week in the summer of 2020. What is this desirable little starter boat like to live with long-term?

Anyone else feel that the Chantal Scream Test should become an integral part of all MBY high performance boat reviews from now on? 😄
Definitely! Even though she hardly said a word it was obvious this boat is a "winner" as far as wifey is concerned.
Who needs performance figures when we can just measure the volume and length of Chantal’s scream?
Brilliant idea!! 🤣🤣
Great review, thanks!
Look forward to seeing what else they bring out.
Yup, the harder she screams the better it is. 😂😂
Hi Jack, Wife a Mum. A fantastic boat test. Minimal to zero bow spray, handling smooth and responsive. Great video thanks 😊 Happy New Year
Great video! We are glad you had fun on Saxdor 200.
I wish I lived somewhere where the weather and climate made boat ownership more enjoyable
Don’t live in England at present - it’s grim and I’m in the south....
@@PhilbyFavourites I'm in Central Scotland. There are boat owners here but they're pretty die hard.
I’m in Portugal , just 9km north of the Ria Formosa, it’s heaven for boating and motorcycling
Great review of a splendid lifestyle accessory.
That looked like a lot of fun 👍
Great video and review!
Excellent video Jack, nice speed boat, nice engine, but best on this video undoubtedly is mom 🙂🙂🙂
As an avid lake fisherman around the Eastern United States, I think with a few minor modifications - this vessel could also be kitted-out as a proper 1 or 2 person fishing boat!
i absolutely love this series, gives a real insight into what these boats are like to live with, and gives me massive motivation to get a job in the boat industry in the future!
That’s what we like to hear! Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
@@jackhaines123 Thank you!
Summer UK boating with insulated jackets 👍👍👍👍
Nice "long term use" review, too bad the weather didn't give you more chances to get out on the water!
.
I think Saxdor may be missing a market with this one though. Even if you lose some storage, I'd love to see this with a Rotax 180 under the seat and a water jet. That would let you get into some skinny water much easier even though they'd then be in direct competition with Yamaha and Scarab. Perhaps offer the jet lower unit as an option on the outboards instead.
Nice review - please include a graphic with prices for different options
How try is the rear of the boat? Going from speed to a full stop, do you not get a stern wave splashing over that open rear?
How would this compare on performance to the cormate U23 with in board - I understand there’s a difference in list price.
what is this slipway called?
More of these 'living with' type videos please.
We will do our best!
@@MotorBoatYachting do you plan on any more content with the saxdor 200?
Please do a test on the Saxdor 320 gto, great video, great hull.
We're testing it at the end of this week :-)
Geiles Video!
No prop bag on when you were towing
I'd have thought Wifey 1st, then Moma, but to each his own Electra Complex thingy I guess...!
glad i saw this i will get one instead of a ski
Get both ? They do different things
I’ll be intrigued to know how this compares with the new Axopar.
We’ll be testing the Axopar 22 Spyder as soon as we can 👍
Are you thinking of changing your wheels for a boat @Nick Glossop? Could do with a good boat instructor down your way!
@@hugoandreae3495 I’m hoping my generous cousin will see me right!
We have a Brig Falcon 500 at the moment. I’m always looking to upgrade.
@@jackhaines123 I think the Jobe X Revolve looks a lot of fun.
@@nickglossop Nice little RIB, will have to find an excuse to come and play one day
Ha ha! Brilliant wifey reaction!
As an American, it is absolutely insane to me that you're towing a 20ft boat with a tiny hybrid crossover that has a CVT transmission. I mean sure the boat is light, but I sure as hell wouldnt feel safe towing with something like that.
I can say with confidents, that it's not a problem at all. In Norway, Sweden and Denmark, it's a 50-60mph limit when dragging a trailer. I working with boats, and I drag boats between 19 and 30 foot all day with a Nissan Navara. No problem. But I will never put my trailer that far inn to the water. I would rather buy a trailer with bigger rollers if I got a boat with stepped hull.
That’s actually a big car for European standards!
I’ve seen Honda Jazzes (Fits) trailering boats.
Its a 20ft boat but it actually has the same weight as a 170 montauk so its really not that heavy for compact suv
What about reverse? Is it going to be difficult with some waves
Water will come on board (as demonstrated in the video) but the deck is designed for it. You might get wet shoes, though...
@@jackhaines123 At which part of video, i missed it? Thnx
@@alisphotography @17:45
@@jackhaines123 Thank you! I wonder how does she act when reversing.... maybe same...
Want / need……
43000 for a buthtub..........
Why do you play music when we can hear the engine instead. Do you really think we watch these videos to hear your choice of music? Really frustrating!
