The amount of short rib on the plate that Felix had was tremendous, WOW! I had to laugh when Felix was eating the BBQ ribs at Max and Lucy's, and it fell on his lap, Ouch! OMG. Never been to Hideaway Cafe before but would have loved to try the BLT that Amanda ordered. Too late now and this is why it is critical to support local. Great BLTs are hard to find on Oahu. Bummers, Hideaway rest in peace...Peace Out, Have a great Prince Kuhio Holiday!

That vacant lot behind you guys is where I go on weekends , It's my grandmother's rented shack where my mom's sisters were born, 12 of them lived there. I started going there in 1945 and that lot has lots of antique bottles 1900s. and older. That was the city dumps. I still have pictures of that place. My mom and Dad were born in Hawaii in 1917. I'm going to eat at that place this week. ( by my grandmas place )Thanks again for your great videos.
Did know and tried max and Lucy's like the chicken e even if it's a little dry inside for me though it's not healthy I love to put salt on chicken skin and inside ❤
A proper eggs Benedict isn't supposed to be runny, the yolk should pour out like lava. But I agree Button Up Cafe is great, we love it but hate when we get there a hair too late and it's a long line. But honestly I'd rather wait in line for an hour to eat there than go to Giebe Cafe. Giebe is horrible at making pancakes but has great toppings.
Miss Island grinds! Food in Vegas is garbage! Although we have a Zippys here now that opened wit a limited menu but slowly adding. Thanks! for making me hungry even when im full!
So much for the after-wedding diet -- but as long as you keep up with the Costco veggies at home, you gotta indulge in these local kine grindz again every so often. After all, I think that's what a lot of the Foodie 'Ohana expects and is craving. Everything looks yummy to me -- just the kind of things I enjoy when I'm super hungry. Brunch is a good idea -- you can skip breakfast and get into brunch or an early lunch, and maybe be hungry enough for dinner. I'd probably take home a lot of those plates. Too bad about the too-hidden Hideaway Cafe. The drink and sandwich looked good, .I know it's hard, but maybe they can look into a food truck or a booth at outdoor markets. It's really hard to find a good brick and mortar shop and location and then maintain the business. Mahalo for sharing these hidden-gem small local businesses!
Guys, calling bs on button up cafe. It’s either Korean short ribs with msg or as non Korean as short ribs can be. Also, since you didn’t spit out the brown gravy with disgust, it has msg too. They need to change their menu to “no extra msg added” like all the other local restaurants out there worried about stupid mainland myths.
This is why I wished there were more asians and hawaiians here in LA where I live. The eggs benedict is served with fried rice there rather than a mixed greens salad with some wack ass vinaigrette over here lol

You have to go back and try their salmon katsu. Not sure which day they have it. It is crispy on the outside and moist inside. Yummy!
