Kim Eng is the creator of Presence through Movement (PTM), a unique, powerful, and practical approach to accessing the present moment through the body and through movement. This meditative movement practice was inspired by and draws from the ancient mystical teachings of qigong, t’ai chi, yoga, as well as the spiritual insights of Eckhart Tolle-yet it is not affiliated with any particular religion, culture, or form of yoga.
As a facilitator of Presence through Movement, Kim travels and works extensively with her teaching partner Eckhart Tolle, the author of the best selling books The Power of Now and A New Earth. Kim has developed a teaching approach that incorporates and complements Eckhart’s teachings. Her work translates these teachings into a structured, embodied practice to support the arising of presence and the awakening of consciousness.
Kim has offered retreats and workshops in North America, Europe, and Australia. She is the author of two instructional DVDs on Presence through Movement-Qi Flow Yoga and Yin Yoga-and of two audio-learning programs, Meditations for A New Earth and Resist Nothing, featuring practical ways to overcome our inner obstacles to presence.
Kim was born in Vancouver, Canada. Her spiritual search began in the early 1980s. She met Eckhart in 1998, and soon after underwent a transformational spiritual experience while attending one of his retreats. This was followed by seven years of intense spiritual training, after which she began counseling and teaching.
Kim sees our true nature-our essence-as living in and through our human bodies. Through movement and through our bodies, we can return to and awaken to pure presence and oneness-to who we are beyond the thinking mind and egoic sense of self-accessing infinite power and creativity.
“When we are connected to Source, and body-mind-spirit are aligned-when we realize who we are at the core of our being-we blossom into our life purpose,” she says. “We cannot help but do so. And that is how we create what Eckhart Tolle calls ‘a new earth."
Kim Eng needs her own book. Her teachings and experiences would be very helpful because she gradually dissolved her painbody unlike Eckhart who dissolved it overnight. Maybe she writes her own experiences some day.🤞🏻💞
To dissolve the pain body.. It is a great expression 👍you should write too I believe

Totally agree I feel for people first in this journey she explains it in a way you can understand, I totally understand eckhart but I’m not new to it those who are while find listening to him confusing

Love this. We get so much insane, ego-driven messaging all the time about what relationships should be like. It's so needed and refreshing to hear from a conscious perspective. Thank you ❤🙏❤
It never occurred to me while I was in the throes of Ego to drop all of my ideas about relationship. My Ego's brilliant solution was, "Just redefine relationship." My definitions got ever more debasing and humiliating until I finally gave up and determined to go it alone. It was only then that my "perfect" spiritual partner found me, and I can assure you, we love each other to the depths of our souls, but we get on each others nerves nonetheless. Thank you for the reminder of our innate need for space and spaciousness.
“You cannot serve two masters…” Thank you 🙏🏼💕🙏🏼

Indeed without a doubt, now that I am 'awake' I am no longer drawn to certain types of people; I'm still healing/growing/awakening and I expect for me - it may be a lifelong endeavour and I still get sucked into old patterns but now I know and don't get hung up the way I used to. I'm calmer and more at ease with the situation and don't force something that is not there.
i came to the conclusion that "i fell in love with their pain" they had all issues with abusing fathers alchoholic fathers fathers that took their life, father that died of heartattack, and ofcourse some mother issues also....thats been my theme....i could never reach them were i wanted to go for a balanced relationship....i know my part..my childhood wound(s) that was triggering me in some cases..
I like Kim's openness and honesty.
she is very honest
Thank you Kim, for sharing your presence and wisdom with us.❤️
Thank you so much, gives me inspiration to grow into the spiritual awakening process.
It would be great to have videos from you weekly or at least in two weeks if you like.. I look forward for your new videos..
Thank you for sharing this beautiful message and wisdom 💕
I adore listening to you Kim.. My soul resonates with yours.. you’ ve helped me a lot. 🙏 i wish to hear you perform life.. see you in person 🌈 much love
In my awakening journey, on the teacher of presenc course and dissolving my pain body. Presence is easier and easier to bring to the deeper pain body aspects. Ive had new friends and a love interest come into my that I NEVER thought i would, not these "kinds" of people. They certainly dont fit the image we have of conscious people or the kind of person i thought in my mind, but i feel the good qualities i was praying for, theyre beautiful and i see them and their light. And yet. Theyve been so good for me in releasing and spritiual growth. Lige is showing me that it is PERFECT for me and when i am lost, confused or struggling to understand them and their communication styles, i surrender to the space of not knowing, in presence, and the answers come, especially in nature, and i feel peace and contentment, patience and acceptance again.
Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful
Yes I agree. Thank you Kim
Wow. Perfect
This resonated deeply with me. Out of tune at first but slowly I came into alignment with it.
Thanks for the honesty
Your remarks was life-changing
Thankyou thankyou thankyou for great wisdom. Xx
I really enjoy your teachings, Kim. I have been married 27 years. When we are free from the pain body, can we be married to anyone that isn't abusive and be content? I have suffered with the pain body since I was a young child, and I've been doing spiritual work for 7 years, and still struggling with my pain body.
In saying “ don’t have no relationship expectations”, does that include allowing someone to stay in your life when you find out they lie to you on a regular basis, are Into porn behind your back, lied about drug use, use your friends and contacts to improve their life, touch your family members inappropriately? Is it ok to say No if that person came into your life.
If you love yourself and have a relationship with yourself first, there are things you wouldn’t put up with by simply saying “no, I can’t accept this” without spiraling into mind chatters and stories.
Not having expectations simply means don’t be driven by your ego to want things to look a certain way based on your past or present stories.
When someone shows up a certain way, take it for what it is and either leave if you can’t put up with it or stay and accept them as they are.
I learn soo much from you, Kim. I can relate soo much and tq for being soo real.
Excellent, thanks so much Kim. I love you and your sincerity. You help me a lot 💕😘. Abrazo
Kim 😍😍😍

how much we need the vision of a woman on the spiritual path! Thank you
I really would like to know how conscious these two are. I know Eckhart is fairly up there. What about her?
She understands the concept and I think she applies it. But the awakened one is only eckhart
I thought she might talk about how peoples' personal pain-body issues lead into relationships and sabotage them.
The problem is: the more I think and behave like you recommend (no expectations, working on me not the other person, letting go of expectations) the more my boundaries get blurred and I get treated badly and more and more respectlessly. In my experience, it cannot work as long as only one person tries to become a better partner. Still, I believe you are right 🤷♀
Then your pain body is around people pleasing and abandoning yourself in order to keep the other. It is also a form of Ego, actually…
@@eboli7146 why is it a form of ego?
@@GR-rk2fipeople pleasing, putting others before yourself so they won’t leave, is a form of Ego because the Ego feels incomplete on its own, the Ego needs external validation. It’s a fine line - and not so much about the actions we take but the intention and reason we take them. I hope that makes sense. This is challenging also for me, I grew up conditioned to people-please.
@@eboli7146 Yes, it is confusing, especially when you try to be loving and empathic on your spiritual way. I become more people pleasing when I try to be a "good" person and it is difficult to set the right boundaries. Still learning...
@@GR-rk2fi I get you. There’s another really good video on here with Kim talking about relationships. It’s called “Partner Expectations - What you need and what you want”, maybe you might find it useful :) best wishes
This was very nice :)
Perfect!💓
I feel like my boyfriend is married to his mother and having an affair with me! He lives with her. She has absolute control over his daughter and he is scared of her and what she might do if he stands up to her. He has autism and she uses his daughter to get money out of him and control everything he does. He can’t even leave the house for ten minutes without her permission. I’m not happy in this relationship, but I would be absolutely miserable without him. I feel like if I left him he would just be very isolated and lonely and bullied by his family. But he is so loyal to them I can’t stand how he doesn’t seem to able to fight for us, his daughter or even himself.
Girl.... leave him... this "man" needs to learn how to grow up, and if you stand around and coddle him, he'll never learn.
He is an avoidant attachment guy.. He is an enmeshed mother man!! You are an anxious attached girl.. You are not in love.. You are trauma bonded!!
Your dad gave you inconsistent love and made you feel his absence for long and just gave you Tit-bits of love here and there growing up..So now you feel you are not worthy of a guy who loves you completely and makes you his object of attention!! Your past dsnt has to repeat girl.. Move on and heal yourself!! Yucks!
It is not within your power to rescue him. That is HIS work. We each have our own work to do and we can never control the journey someone else is on.
Wow
