Peugeot 2008 - King of the Concrete Jungle

Its really hard to fault the all new 2008 - its biggest challenge isn't standing out from the pack in the fiercely competitive crossover / SUV segment but rather changing the attitudes of South African consumers towards French brands...
And in the 2008, Peugeot have just the car to do it!

Hey Marcel thanks for the comment. Like i said in the review, I specifically asked for this model because when we get test units on launch and from manufacturers, its always loaded with all the extras but that's usually never the model that will be their top seller. They usually don't even spec the entry to mid models for press fleets - very frustrating! So going direct to the dealer to secure a car helped big time.
I like review the base - if its solid at that level, the extras are only going to add to the experience. Unfortunately with a lot of the German makes, their base is often a shell and 4 wheels so the extras are crucial in terms of looks and comfort.
This is a really good car...looking forward to driving the 208 soon.

Its sold with a service plan so no different to any other vehicle on the market. In the South African context, there has been so much negativity around French brands for the longest time and honestly, mostly unfounded or resolved ages ago. They have worked hard ensuring parts availability / stock holding in SA - something that was an issue many years ago
