Most people think of bass as a mono sound only. This is good for mixing but can be boring in headphones. Here, the 'sflogicninja' shows you how to use Mid-Side techniques to create a bigger and stereo bass while keeping it mono compatible.
instantly improved my mix..

I have never heard this trick before.. this is excellent..!!! thanks a lot man.
This is gold!!! Thank you!!
Perfect, thank you.
cool, thanks
Awesome tutorial!!!
I would think widening the lows and then reigning them back in would cause phasing issues because that solid low end has been chorused now. U can still apply chorus to something mono and keep it mono, and the sound will still be different
WOW! I've been watching videos for year and I've NEVER heard of this trick before.
Great explaining manner! Thank you! Totally subscribing! So logically, comparing to the original signal, the low end is getting weaker (more silent) as we cut it on the sides, right? It must be loosing some part of it's energy. I am experimenting right now. And it seems like I should compensate it with boosting low frequencies in the mid.
For EQ in ableton I could use Fab Filter Right?
stereo bass sounds so good....But everyone tells me that it's wrong??? Is it wrong if I make my Bess stereo??
Such great tips for free" back in the days people would charge just to let u watch
