This was such a fun video to research and make because of all the cool easter eggs and details! Are there any small "Schitt's Creek" details YOU noticed? Let us know below!
Not sure if it counts as a small detail but in your #1 pick, you forgot to mention the jazzagals sang another call back “simply the best” during the wedding
I loved it when David and Alexis walking down the aisle and Roland ask Johnny if they look like husband and wife as a call back to the banter about his relatives on the town's sign
This show was so good because the people making it actually put so much thought and care into character development! And I'm sad that it's ended but it was a good call, they left on a high note.
In "Pregnancy Test", the guy answering Alexis' questions about Elmdale College was also David's driving instructor in "Driving Test". They both say they are a DJ. In "Carl's Funeral", you learn Bob's brother Carl hung himself on a ceiling fan. When Alexis is looking for an apartment in "The Motel Guest", Ray says that someone died in the apartment but they replaced the ceiling fan with a breakaway model. Bob likes to jog into a scene. In "Happy Anniversary", the Roses meet up with old 'friends' Bev and Don at their anniversary dinner. You can see Bev and Don again at the past Christmas party in "Merry Christmas Johnny Rose". There is a framed Open Mic Night flyer on the wall of Patrick's kitchen. Patrick's gift of the framed receipt from their first sale is on the table near the bathroom in David's motel room. And an obvious one. The Schitt's family names: Roland (roll in), Jocelyn (jostling), Mutt (dog), Baby Roland Moira (roll in more), and the founder of Schitt's Creek was great-grandfather Horace (horse or poor as).
@@kathyannhicks8982 You can see it in many episodes on the table beneath the mirror. In "Pregnancy Test" look left behind Johnny when he is coming out of the Bathroom. In "The Barbecue" look left behind David when he and Patrick are talking after Rachel. Even in "Happy Ending" look left behind Alexis in her "wedding" dress. Happy rewatching!
Yeah all of these except for ONE (David's look alike snooping around the store) were obvious. ...like they were PART of the plot, so I doubt most people missed them.
Dan Levy and the entire show’s cast and crew brought something to the world that forever changed on how I hope for things to be in the world when we all become equals.
Confused how the town sign is a “small detail” that anyone could have missed? Some of the other things were definitely interesting things I did miss, but pretty sure the sign does not qualify for this list.
It was categorized as 'Small Detail' because it was Roland's gift. Earlier they thought Roland forgot his gift but watching the change in town's sign, they realised he didnt forget his gift after all.
In the open mic night episode when Patrick sings for David, one of the camera angles show that Moira was noticeably overwhelmed by the way her son was “being serenaded” by his beau, so much so that she can be seen in a rather blur effect to be lightly wiping her eyes which is very subtle and we see only her back and that too quite blur! Also the way she was looking at David from the corner of her eyes while Patrick dedicated the song was endearing! In the last scene, when Johnny asks Moira to hurry up and we see her just standing at the door and she says that it’s 6 am and she is going as fast as she can, she was just standing on the threshold of their room probably just staring at the room before she locked it up probably reminiscing the whole time she spent there! It was very subtle but very sentimental! Johnny saying room 7 needs a turndown handing the key over to Stevie - again really clever! There are ample of such moments I can pick out considering I have been watching this show non stop like a lunatic for the past 2 months now, just replaying over and over again! They quite elegantly brought out the fact of manifesting your dreams as well to be something that is very much achievable when Alexis finds David’s wedding book under his pillow and remarks that he manifested his dream wedding raises a lot of hope and positivity in otherwise barren souls! Crafted to perfection!
You can thank Dan and Eugene Levy’s meticulous planning for the story line. Then with Dan and the writers dropping those wonderful Easter Eggs, throughout.
lol I thought about that too. there she is, playing the hell out of her character, singing beautifully and being generally delightful, but ms mojo's like "nope. dog."
The colors were used on her throughout the entire show. She only ever wore some form of black and white. I believe I saw an interview where she said that was done on purpose as a nod to her character in Beetlejuice.
I JUST discovered this show. I fell in love with Dan Levys character in Happiest Season (which is a Fan-Effing-Tastic) and that led to me discovering this show. I loooove it
Here's one. In the series premier Alexis is ready to leave her family and go off with her boyfriend, because she doesn't care about them. In the series finale episode, Alexis says "I love you" to all three of her family members, and cries about them having to separate. Full circle moment of her coming to appreciate her family.
I haven’t finished the last season yet because I don’t want it to be over. Of course I know the ending, it’s impossible to avoid spoilers. But I’m saving the full episodes for when I really need them.
I feel like this list could’ve been shorter. Somehow, I really did miss that they were visiting the actual creek but including things like the portrait, the name-dropping or the sign seem a bit... desperate
Towards the end of Seson 5 Episode 12, The Roast, David spills out that Alexis has a back tattoo that says "That's hot" that she got in Hong Kong, Alexis responds tht she was twelve years old. Later in seson 6 episode 11 "The bachelor party" when Alexis is solving the puzzle, the laser points to a base with the egyptian symbol for stability and she recognized from her friend getting it tattooed in the 7th grade, same when Alexis got hers when she was 12..
There is a scene is the Umbrella Academy near the end of the first season, where Hazel and Anges are at a motel. And I'm pretty sure that motel is the Rosebud Motel. Just saying
That is why the videos are not as good as others on the UA-cam. Seems like MsMojo is grasping for straws here for new content trying to insult people by saying you missed when they were obvious.
Your forgot to mention that Eugene Levy thought this series will be canceled after season 2 so that that song precious love is supposed to featured at the series finale. And as it turned out, they actually did add the song precious love at their actual series finale.
8:42 Don't forget that in the roast episode, Ronnie called Moira the "One who wears the pants in the Rose family", I wonder if it's an additional homage to that
Watch Mojo writes their videos like they're trying to hit the word count on an essay. This should be called Top 10 Details That Are Not In Any Way Hidden And Are The Point Of The Episode And You Couldn't Possibly Have Missed
I hardly think any of these are hidden Easter eggs, except perhaps Redmond. What’s so shocking about David’s clothes being in a place that stores clothing? Lol
These aren't small details. All of these are very obvious and everyone knew what was happening that was the point. They weren't trying to hide any of these details
This show. The best to come along since Friends went out in 2004. And/BUT.. Creek can say all of The Things that any other show cannot. I'm literally... OBSESSED. Obsessed,
Unless you’re binging this over and over and focusing on the background like you’re studying for a test, most of these would be missed. So I really don’t get those bragging about noticing all of them. Mariah Carey, the Creek and the town sign are the only ones I noticed prior to this video because they were highlighted by the show. Remembering the dress Alexis wore in the pilot 3 years later and noticing that all of David’s sweaters were stacked in the background is a bit of a stretch.
"Details you missed" more like "we worked harder than required to find details that the actors and producers did a great job highlighting and no one actually missed"
Only thing I know about Mariah Carrie is her name! I saw someplace where many of the outfits were showcased for local designers. I love many of Alexis's outfits and Moiras pant suits. And yes, David's long sleeve shirts are definitely nice. I noticed the portrait in the first episode. I laughed at them sitting in the same sequence...
Are we not going to talk about how the family portrait got through the tiny doors of the motel room - or is that just something we’re not supposed to question. I remember the first time I saw that in the room I literally asked my husband “how’d they get that in there”
Omg I noticed Wendy's associate in Rose Apothecary! I remember watching it, probably for the third time, and going "Oh wow that guy looks like David. OH WAIT THATS THAT GUY!!"

I lol I seriously missed all these. Nice one mismojo 😉
Not sure if it counts as a small detail but in your #1 pick, you forgot to mention the jazzagals sang another call back “simply the best” during the wedding
Very good! I've watched the show several times over and didn't catch so many of these!
Patrick sitting in the same chair when David dances as David sat in when he called Patrick for the first time 😭😭
@@silverdoe3658 Good catch!
I'd love to see the Top 10 times Jocelyn Schitt was Passive Aggressive.
You should make it, I will sub.
The time Jocelyn needed a part-time job at the Rose apothecary.
The time Jocelyn needed a baby shower from David.
The time Jocelyn didn't like the crows trailer
I would love to see this
I loved it when David and Alexis walking down the aisle and Roland ask Johnny if they look like husband and wife as a call back to the banter about his relatives on the town's sign
Mind. blown.
OMG totally missed that!
Yuup came here to see if they put this in the video 😆
Oh my gosh, I never noticed that! "Don't worry, it's his sister!" Thanks for pointing it out!
I thought that was just a reference to the fact that Alexis wore a wedding dress, so they literally looked like a bride and groom.
One of my favorite Moira lines from an early episode...
“Stevie, is this your home?”-when seeing Stevie’s car for the first time
😂😂❤️
When she said that I pictured my daughter's car. 😂
🤣
And then pulled out some bad smelling food
"Here. I take it you're finished with this sandwich" (pulling old sandwich from the front if the car)
This show was so good because the people making it actually put so much thought and care into character development! And I'm sad that it's ended but it was a good call, they left on a high note.
Yes! The ending had me in tears. Tbh it turned into one of my "comfort shows", so when they took it off Netflix, i had to get it on DVD lol.
The only one I didn’t notice was David’s look alike in his store 😂
I caught it on my second run with the series. It's very miniscule!
same
Same
i noticed this right away for some reason!!
Yeah, the way the Mojo channels name their videos/ talk. They must think that their audience is *really* dumb.

@Candicech great catch. I love to rewatch. What episode is Patrick’s framed receipt gift at the motel on the table? I missed that one.
Lord, these are better than the video.

They should've named Mutt as Doug
I literally just figured out the Schitt's family name thing last week. I think the Jocelyn is Jostle-in, though. I hadn't thought of the Horace one!
It should be, “Top 10 small details you didn’t miss on Schitt’s Creek”
Yeah all of these except for ONE (David's look alike snooping around the store) were obvious. ...like they were PART of the plot, so I doubt most people missed them.
Thank you. This is a band wagon list.
Tots!!
I thought it was just me...
Right? "They sang precious love at the wedding!" Like yeah, that one literally could not have been any more explicit
nobody is gonna talk about how they got the giant portrait in and out of their room?
yeah, i used to wonder how did they manage to do that
You just bring it in sideways and hook it.
Drop it from the ceiling? 😂
Pivot
@@medha148 Ha ha! Thank you Ross!
The song Patrick sang to David at open mic night was sung by the Jazzagals at their wedding
Also David lip syncs it to Patrick
Woww i didnt remember or notice that thanksss
Dan Levy and the entire show’s cast and crew brought something to the world that forever changed on how I hope for things to be in the world when we all become equals.
Such a powerful quote ❤️❤️
Their family portrait was big enough to use as the town’s “ Welcome to Schitt’s Creek” billboard.
Confused how the town sign is a “small detail” that anyone could have missed? Some of the other things were definitely interesting things I did miss, but pretty sure the sign does not qualify for this list.
No Schitt. It would be like missing Johnny’s eyebrows.
The final showing of the sign I had to rewind to make sure I saw what I thought I saw.
It was categorized as 'Small Detail' because it was Roland's gift. Earlier they thought Roland forgot his gift but watching the change in town's sign, they realised he didnt forget his gift after all.
@@MerryEveryday But you didn't miss that. Neither did anyone else. It was meant to be noticed.

lol I thought about that too. there she is, playing the hell out of her character, singing beautifully and being generally delightful, but ms mojo's like "nope. dog."
I did not notice Antonio until I rewatched that episode.
Lollop I did
In the #10 top pick, Moira’s umbrella (specifically the colors) could technically be a nod to her character on Beetlejuice
The colors were used on her throughout the entire show. She only ever wore some form of black and white. I believe I saw an interview where she said that was done on purpose as a nod to her character in Beetlejuice.
@@kelleywillis3789 I noticed that, as well.
Interesting!!!! I NEVER thought about that until now!!!!

Would’ve been so funny if Patrick sang 🎶“cause you’ll always be my baebae”
One more: when David and Moira resurrect the ‘number’ and they flashback to the original performance in the mansion
I never once though about the actually creek the town was named after. Lol

She really showed a lot of change and growth throughout the show's run. They all did, but hers was more palpable and profound, I think.
I thought you was going to say that the Rose's portrait was too big for the motel's door...how do it get thru??🤔
I haven’t finished the last season yet because I don’t want it to be over. Of course I know the ending, it’s impossible to avoid spoilers. But I’m saving the full episodes for when I really need them.
omg, I'm doing the same! I still have last episode to watch and the previous 79 I watched many times already :)
I had been doing this but this past week I finally got to the last episode. This year has been rough but this show got me through it.
As long as it is on Netflix or shown on TV, it never has to over
Samee sister i feel you
Its so sad the show ended i finished 5seasons in days and the last one in 3days cause i dont want it to end 😭❤

I want to know how they got that painting through the motel doorways.
I think about that every time I see that scene in a video.
they filmed the inside of the motel in a studio so some walls were removable or not actually there
I fall asleep to this show every night & just balled again for the finale! Absolutely perfect show!
It wasn’t until my 3rd time through the series that I realized Antonio was in David’s store snooping at the products lol.
I still get chills from EITHER of the wedding songs the Jazzagals sang.
I also noticed that the end of season 1 is the first time we see David smile, which is the scene you showed during the number 1 pick

8:42 Don't forget that in the roast episode, Ronnie called Moira the "One who wears the pants in the Rose family", I wonder if it's an additional homage to that

The connection with all of the black birds on David’s clothing & decor culminating to Moira’s movie.

The end of season 2 is just lovely.
The dog fact is so cute!
Now this Schitt content is what we want!❤️
How is the entire story arc with Gwen not included here?
Loved the list. Picked all of them. I’ve seen the show atleast 8 times over. I can watch it another 18 times. Huge fan. Quiz me!
Does anyone else think Wendy’s business partner looks like the guy who robbed rose apothecary from what you can see
Omg the one about Dan's dog is my favourite one! 😍😘🐕

I noticed they said spoiler alert while showing the proposal in the background which is a HUGE spoiler to someone who hasn’t seen it lol

I think the biggest egg I found was realizing “Roland Schitt” is a pun in itself! ... “rolling in shit”, get it???
I just said that to someone yesterday!! Glad I'm not the only one who hears it
They also mention that his grandfather (or father, I don’t remember) was named Horace Schitt....like horse shit.

The couple who visit the Roses and mock SC in season 2, appear in Johnny’s dream sequence in the finale of season 4
Great list! However, it seems like alot of these weren't really a "small detail" that may have gone missed. Especially #10
The top thing for me was Ray's advertising board

The only one I missed was the black dress. Very cool.
Watch mojo has quite the hard on for schitts creek and I love it.
I didn’t catch the “Precious Love” recall 😭😭
You missed the fact that in the town sign Moira was the man because Roland used to say Moira wears the pants in their relationship.
My question is - how did they get the oversized portrait into the hotel room and the reception area?
Amazing video!! Loved the show!! One question - how come no one was shown having a pet, dog? Isn't it strange or am I missing something here?
You’d think Alexis would want to give the pink dress to Twila because it reminded her of losing all their money which made her sad
