since checking in to the innsmouth hotel, had dreams ... except they felt like I was awake and lucid. An ententity spoke to me through my mind. The being spoke in a manner that was otherworldly , gruttal, and indifferent to humanity as whole.
After trying several dozen languages , the being simply introduced itself as Dagon, the patron of fishes and deep ones.
Tl:Dr can not this hotel 5 stars review because of Lovecraftian fish God who visits your dreams and has tea parties.
NGL you're pretty racist if you won't support and interbreed with fishy abominations. I'm calling CNN, they will report on your irrational racism.
I love how she preemptively explains away all the creepy stuff happening at the hotel. You can tell she's nervous and kind of scared herself.
I don't know anything about this setting, but I could absolutely feel the oppressive vibe and the damp sea air and the weight of this place, I loved every second
Lovecraft is essential horror reading but... fair warning... he was shockingly racist for most of his life...
Even for his time it was... excessive
He was not excessively racist. He did not hurt or kill anyone. His only crime was having opinions. He was also more cultured than a lot of people these days. If he was escessively racist, he would have joined a hate group, right? He was friends with Jews and a homosexual in a time like that. So let's not be a drama queen and try to demonise a man because he dare write down opinions. I know you get arrested nowadays for insulting lousy football players or having an opinion on a topic. Everything is considered a hate crime so it is not a surprise that people from this era would attack a great writer. They tried it with Kipling and other great writers. It could be oversensitive people or simply jealous people. It could even be a bit of both.

I remember the game "call of cthulhu" where youll check in this very hotel and as you go in your room youll have visions of you getting chopped of by fishmen.

My buddy Dave is a Deep One, they've really mellowed out in the 100 or so years since the incident at Innsmouth
i always like that story cause the implications are so creepy. Imagine if some caveman somewhere made blood pact with fishman and now all humanity is just part fish. This is just a joke so dont take offense, but would explain why Jesus walked on water...he was a holy mackerel. xD

Some parallel universe out there there's a youtube asmr community where they all roleplay the same universe, and that my friends, is a universe I want to live in. idk if it was intentional but I loved the "Arkham" reference.
Oh it's intentional, so many ASMR UA-camrs reference ER in their content. I think they appreciate his creativity and the new opportunities that his risks give them on the platform.
This is canon in my heart.

The quality and frequency of these roleplays are crazy. I'm saddened that for some reason the recording / mixing of the sounds are not as tingly for me as on some of the other channels. I wonder if this is because of the mic setup or because of the mixing.
