My flight school, Willamette Aviation got permission to fly into pdx and park on the ANG ramp to attend the event. i didnt get to land at pdx but i got to takeoff from PDX and i will post a link to that video below.

Thank you for sharing
So awesome! I love watching these guys takeoff every morning! Especially this time of year with clear blue sky's. On colder mornings when the sun is just starting to come up you can still see their trails hundreds of miles away it's amazing!
Just watched planesguy's video of your takeoff from PDX 10R. Now that had to be a thrill, possibly bucket list material. Way to go and great job flightbudy2channel.
thank you for watching. yeah, it was an amazing experience
Awesome video!! I really miss the F-15's doing unrestricted climbs from McChord AFB up until they decommissioned the 318th FIS in 1989. All of that squadrons aircraft went to this unit. In a strange twist of irony, the Bombardier Q400 in the beginning of the video, is the exact same one that was stolen from Seatac airport on August 10th of last year. I captured the last moments the pilot and the aircraft ever flew again. So ironic that it's on static display at PDX, and the F-15's taxiing are the ones that were sent to intercept the Q400 agreed direct it away from populated areas. I'll never forget that day as long as I'm alive. Thanks for posting!!
The Horizon (Alaska) Q-400 aircraft at the beginning of this video. Is the aircraft that was stolen from Seattle-Tacoma Airport on August 10, 2018.
And those are the type of planes sent to intercept it
Yes
I remember when 9/11 happened. These fighters were buzzing downtown low alt and constantly to the point where you could hear the roar of their engines around the clock.
Great video !! Awesome powerful takeoffs ! Liked !
