The Quarz version is the one to buy in my opinion. With 6mm it is only half as thick. It also looks better, because it has only 2 hands.
It still features sapphire glas and a decent switz quartz movement.
With half the costs it clearly is the better package. Also, some might argue that the more affordable version goes along better with the Bauhaus philosophy. Meaning affordable, simple and functional design for everyone.

Agree. The auto offered is extremely basic.

@@MrBacchus18 I have used the Naos Quarz for a few months. While it was decent, eventually I sold it and bought the Junghans Max Bill Automatic used for 350€.
The Junghans just looks so much better

@@dave-ld8mo I had a max bill auto a few years ago and sold it. Didn't like the ghost date and mine had a loud rotor. Also the plexiglass had a hardened coating that could not be buffed out with poly watch.
It was the most easy to read watch ever though thanks to the super clean design.

Thanks for the detailed review. I purchased it, I have a few manly dive watches but needed a daily minimalist watch.

My naos arrives tomorrow. I got the XS, 33mm version. My wrist is 6.25 inches and I’m a 67kg guy, plus I’m over 50 and the watches I grew up with were all about 30mm, so I just feel better with a smaller watch.

Bem legal o review, obrigado. Saberia informar se os ponteiros azuis são pintados ou temperados?

I really like these Hamburg Automatiks. Beautiful affordable Bauhaus style, and better looking than the Junkers offerings at this price.
The Kanton 2.0 at 1k though I think falls really flat in value. At the entry level of luxury watches that this price point dictates you can find legit Junghans and Nomos watches which are just unfortunately of a different Calibre, Junghans for prestigious history and Nomos for quality at just about every level.
You can find gorgeous watches with Swiss automatic movements closer to the 600 msrp range and I think that THAT is the window Sternglas should try to fill for now.
But charging Nomos and Junghans prices for a watch that is made of all Chinese materials is gonna be a no from me.
I think the Quartz offerings would make a fantastic present for someone you would like to get into watches as a first "premium" piece.
I commend sternglas for an excellent looking watch (though I feel it's bordering being an homage) and is one of the companies I'll be keeping a VERY close eye on.
If they can fit a Swiss movement into a watch in the 600ish price point msrp then I will buy one.

It's alright. Too fat, too expensive, and too Chinese. I bought a used Max Bill for around this MSRP. I think the quartz model is a better proposition (thinner and cheaper).

What a stupid comparison, if you want to compare a broken Junghans with a new Sternglas than doesn’t match. I guess you get a broken Sternglas for a much lower price too.
