All of them are sick. Vocalsynth sounds the most textured and „alive“ with the slight bitcrush to me. Very crunchy and sits well in a mix. Love all of those but the vocalsynth one delivers the perfect mix between retro and modern so ig thats a close one with moog on the second place for me. The ableton one offers a insane amount of flexibility for a stock plugin and manipulator can create very experimental results for a vocoder workflow. Ig i really have to check them out some more.
Why did they all sound so good together?! Like, it was such a nice-sounding progression. I hope what I’m saying makes sense, I don’t have much experience with music, especially of this genre.
Cool premise for a shootout type video! It’s hard to do shootouts well, as the plugins need to have more closely matched settings to make good comparisons - i.e. so listeners don’t become misled (MSLD lol) about what or how large the differences are between plugins. It sounds like the formant shift settings were cranked for every plugin but the Ableton Live vocoder. AL Vocoder was popular per the comments, and no wonder: it’s got the most intelligible wet result. VocalSynth 2 was a close second, but something was weird with the analysis bands it used, I think. Keep up the good work.
But you also remember that you can set the respective VST plugins “right and wrong,” right? 😅 You can therefore impair the sound experience of a top by using sub-optimal settings..
Manipulator sounds more demonic Vocalsynth2 sounds more aesthetic dare i say? Vocoder V sounds more Ghostly Ableton sounds more robotic But hey that's just my opinion.
Manipulator sounds robotic VocalSynth2 sounds like Daft Punk or Pink Floyd (primarily in their album Animals where they use a vocoder such as in Pigs 3 Different Ones) Vocoder V sounds a bit nightcore-ish Ableton Vocoder sounds average
VocalSynth2 gives a bit more Daft Punkish style if you want a bit of retroness to your song But I sorta agree with you cuz Ableton vocoder sounds buttery smooth
I need a full cover of that song with that ableton vocorder it was straight ear candy
It's on my channel! I layerd vocalsynth2 with the ableton vocoder
Don diablo - Day n nite
Vocalsynth 2
And vocoder V
Vocoder V
@@FEDORIOS2013you can’t copy me!
@@NewportGT2My comment is already 3 months old, and you wrote yours just now.
I like how the vocoder v sounds, because it's unique and so cool
Vocal synth and ableton
1) Izotope 2) Arturia 3) Ableton 4) Manipulator
2nd and last ones have a Daft Punk cool vibe I really like
For me, 2nd one has a vibe of Pink Floyd's "Pigs (Three Different Ones)", where in Roger Waters sings through a vocoder which sounds sorta similar
Fam the thickness and warmt in ablelton is CRAZY.
hihi yes I'm weirdly in love with it !
Vocodor V and Ableton vocodor ❤️🔥
It all depends on what mood you're in
True words :)
Song is out or not

Nice analysis.. Cheers!
Ableton vocoder sounds the best imo
I like them all to be honest but yeah especially for a stock plugin it sounds sick!
Arturia 💎
Any vocoder tutorials for Logic Pro x
Vocalsynth 2 i good but ableton vocoder is crazy good
It's so beautiful
Why did they all sound so good together?! Like, it was such a nice-sounding progression. I hope what I’m saying makes sense, I don’t have much experience with music, especially of this genre.
for some weird reason it's satisfying to hear them on after another right?!
@@DavidRitt yeah! It felt like a Mechanical Chorus or something similar. Man, I’d love to listen to a song with something like that.
I like Ableton, personally, but they all sound pretty cool.
Listening on HS8 monitors and that Ableton sounded emaculate
They all sound fun! 🤩
Definitely the last one
albeton vocoder is my favorite
Vocal synth 2, my favorite
Manipulator is my favorite and it also acts as a pitcher so you can do chorus
very inspiring
Happy to inspire :)
That's literally by Kid Cudi, and Vocoder V and Ableton's vocoder sound the best.
True, and Don Diablo covered/remixed it
all got there one beauty
might be biased bc i use ableton but i really like the sound of abletons vocoder😅
it has such a good "roboticness" to it :D
vocalsynth 2 🥺
both . both are good
Vocalsynth 2 sounds amazing to me. Any chance we could get a tutorial for that one ?
Vocoder and Ableton's vocoder were both very nice. I prefer Vocoder.
VocalSynth2 and Ableton Vocoder sounds like the vocoder used in Pink Floyd's album, "Animals"
I really need the full version of this 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Actually all of them r the best
2, but 4 does have its place in certain situations
Plugins in the video:
Manipulator
VocalSynth 2
Vocoder V
Ableton Vocoder
thanks :)
Gnarly bass. What are your thoughts on the white noise? @davidritt
Hey bro, Can you do a tutorial on how you set up VocalSynth2 as a vocoder??
I’m struggling haha
This might help :)

@@DavidRitt Thank You but i actually wanted to see if i can play it my self. Like speak in a mic and play the Vocal synth2 as a vocoder. 😃

2 and 4
this is cool and legit
but where can I get this vocalsynth2? sounds so dope!!!
It's from iZotope and there also is (or was) a rent-to-own option via splice. Happy creating!
Vocodr V: Puffbal bfdi
Abelton vocoder: soundwave G1
gonna have to grab vocalsynth 2. btw, when you're vocoding, do you bother to try to sing in tune? lol
haha i never really bother to sing in tune since it doesn't seem to affect the quality of the vocoder output too much :D
Can you list your vocoders? They all sound great!!!🎉🎉
I even made a whole video about that: ua-cam.com/video/2gs3TcKw264/v-deo.html
Ableton
Ableton Vocoder is the best 😂😂and to think arturia and izotope are my go to choices….I need to reevaluate them
Ableton is like the best one but i would say izotope is the best in my opinion. The end song was my fav
I like manipulator the best personally
hihi yes it's my favorite too
They sound great!! Is there an auto tune plugin somewhere in the chain?
Nope no auto tune. The pitch comes from the vocoders
vocalsynth clears so hard
what i've found is that MVocoder by Melda is the best and more versatile vocoder. Also 50 bucks.
Ableton vocoder, vocal synth 2 n vocoder v
all
Those are dope glasses, what are they?
That music was awesome bro.. ❤️❤️👌🏻👌🏻 Please tell if you released this song.
I have a full version on my UA-cams!
@@DavidRitt song name?
That's nice

Well you can set them according to your taste.. Wouldn't call that right or wrong
@@DavidRitt Yes, I understand 🍀

Which Wavetable preset did you use with the Ableton Vocoder?
*VOCODEX*
heard good things about it
The second
I'd mix vocalsynth2's highs into ableton
That's exactly what I did in my last release ❤️
@@DavidRitt seems like out ears are alike, lol
Ableton vocoder
vocoder v > manipulator > izotope vocal synth > ableton. I just like the cleaner and soother sounding ones more
Did you have to some sort of keying or auto tune to make it have those notes?
The pitch reacts to MIDI. I have a video about this called "Vocoder Comparison" where I explain everything :)
@@DavidRitt ahh makes sense. You just timed it right with your voice

vocoder V
how do you get the ableton vocoder to sound like that
I think vocalsynth was the best
