How to install winjet fog lights on 2014 Scion tc 2nd Gen tc

- This is a quick video of the best way I found to install the winjet fog lights on a 2nd Gen scion tc. Mine is a 2014 scion tc. You will need the following tools:
10mm socket
Socket rachet
Flat head screwdriver
Trim pry tools
Electrical tape
Wire stripper or knife
Zip ties
Phillips screwdriver
Blanket or grassy soft area for the bumper
And probably a flashlight
I haven’t seen any videos on people taking off the light switches for the fog lights until now 👍🏽👍🏽

I wanna wire mine to turn on and off, without it being connected to the Headlights or parking lights. Just like an LED light bar. Once my TC is paid off, I'm gonna go all out on the Exterior with Aftermarket parts. Carbon Fiber hood, Rear hatch, Front Fenders, Side skirts, and trim pieces for the Mirrors, door handles, door bowels, Door pillars with the TC logo as well.

its better late than never ;). But WOW it looks so nice. I have the same color Tc and its hard to find a color that goes well with it
thanks! and yea i looked up pictures of other tcs in the cement color and everyone seemed to do the same colors.. i asked a few friends what they thought would go well with it and they suggested purple.. i happened to have a vinyl sample for this color shift blue/purple that i was thinking of using on my last car (kia forte koup sx 2013) since the wrap on it was starting to crack from being weathered.. ended up ordering plastidip and did the wheels in the same color using the blurple base coat, violet metalizer, and sapphire blue pearl.. if you're interested in using the same wrap i got it here: www.metrorestyling.com/KPMF-Gloss-Purple-Blue-Iridescent-Vehicle-Wrap-p/k75466.htm AMAAAAZING customer service and cheapest prices i could find for quality wrap (i know of local businesses that install wrap who use them as their suppliers)

Nope, the only thing inside the car that I had to remove/take out was the switch/button panel located to the left of the steering wheel. I ran the wiring through the firewall. There's a little black rubber gasket that has wiring going into the cabin of the car. You can either use that or there's another one that kinda looks like a rubber nipple lol. That one doesn't have anything going through it, you just cut a hole into it and fish the wire through. The one that has wiring through it already comes out just above the gas pedal then you direct it over to the back side of the switch panel. The wiring harness had the relay connected into it. I put the ground wire on a bolt that's behind the plastic piece to the left of the foot rest. It's held in place with one bolt and sorta clips in. But the bolt behind it is going into the frame of the car and it's unpainted.

Hey thanx dude for making this video i also have a 14 Tc and last night i install the Winjet foglights and wouldn't be able without this video but quick question i have trouble getting the wire through the firewall so thought id ask did you run the wire from the inside out or the outside in ? Thanx dude
Glad it helped! I ran it from the engine bay into the underside of the dash as I couldn't quite see the actual spot the hole was located through the firewall.

how do you Aim the fog lights?
question tho..isnt it that theres another black wire with the ignition wire aside from from the yellow wire.if there is.what is that for then?koz i just got my fog light kit and it comes with it no clue what is that for...please help...thanks
the black wire is the ground wire.. the red is the positive for the ignition or rather the wire that actually gives the fogs their power.. ground connects to the metal frame of the car to ground the circuit
that red wire u spliced into the oem plug, where does that come from/attched to

I know, im wondering which wire it is, i should have phrased my question better. I've got fog lights installed and i can only use the button, so I just wanted to know which wire that is so i can connext mine so they come on when i turn on my headlights. Im tired of pressing the button everytime
on the backside of the panel for the switches there's a group of wires that's sorta taped and tucked back there, mind you this is on the 2014 scion tc and i'm not sure what other years it's on, but there will be a plug coming off of the wires.. it's supposed to be the plug for the OEM fogs.. you can just splice into it and it'll power the aftermarket fogs.. i have the button pushed in so technically they're always "on" but they just turn on when i switch my headlights on and they turn off when i switch my headlights off

i got it in a swag bag that was given out at the last scikotics asylum in 2016, i'm not sure where else to get one. ebay maybe or possibly try contacting scion/toyota directly. there was a hoodie i found a picture of but couldn't find it for sale online anywhere. i contacted toyota and they actually ended up mailing me the hoodie for free with 3 extra shirts

i researched around and looked at how the bumper was setup as well as based it off installing lights on previous cars... its been some time since i installed the fogs so can't remember if it even came with instructions
What color wier did you tap in to my Kit didn't come with instructions
it's one of the tannish colored wires from the OEM fog light wiring.. if you look at the wires there's a white, blue, tannish, and another tannish one.. i tapped into the wire that's just beside the blue wire.. there's a close up showing the exact wire at 10:02 .. you connect the red wire to the wire im talking about.. black is your ground wire and needs to be bolted directly to an unpainted metal surface
What's the name of the lights on top of the fog lights?
i'm not sure, they were factory... possibly just labeled as daytime running lights

Did you cut the original black squares or just pop them out?
Roy King I didn't cut them at all. They're held in by a screw or 2 and sorta snap in. All you gotta do is unscrew those screws and then pop it out. The winjet fits in exactly like the OEM piece.

I installed mine the same way but mine wouldn't turn-off when the car was off. I disconnected the battery and it turned it off but now they won't turn on, have u had any of these issues?
I haven't had any issues like that with mine. I have the switch pushed to the "on" position but since they're wired in with the OEM wire they only turn on when I turn the headlights on. Otherwise they don't come on at all.
Mine are too but I turned my car off the the fog light was on and I pushed it and it was staying on
I'm honestly not sure why they're staying on while wired into the OEM fog wire. That's really odd. Maybe contact winjet and see if they have any ideas? I really don't know what would cause something like that, seriously odd dude
Are your wheels and fenders painted murisaki found on the xB rs 7.0?
the wheels are plastidip, a combo of colors and enhancers to match it with the vinyl wrap.. not any paint, but no it isn't that color
Where u get those plastic tC logo on the grill?
I got it from a goody bag that was handed out during a scion car show. Not sure where you'd get them otherwise. Maybe check eBay. Someone from the car show might be selling theirs
What air intake do you have? Im thinkig of getting one. Also do you know if it would fit the 2015 model?
I got the injen short ram intake, says that the SP2116P model is for 2011-2016 years

i ordered mine from amazon but there's a few sites you can get it.. just google the model number and shop for the best price :D .. i had the amazon store credit card so that's why i got mine there haha.. fastscion usually has some good deals and sales if you wanna check there

I don't, there really wasn't anything to show. I did show in this video which wire to splice the fog light into on the OEM fog light wiring. Other than that, you just guide the wire harness up to the battery then through the firewall, into the driver side footwell, and up the backside of the steering column to the backside of the switch panel.
JuicyBeans theres a yellow red and black wire on the switch button..were did you hook the black wire??
The black wire is the ground wire. You can put it anywhere you can find a bolt that's attached to the unpainted portion of the frame of the car. I put mine behind the plastic piece in the driver side footwell. There should be a nut and bolt that holds the piece in place, there's also some clips that hold it in place, just undo the nut and pop it out. There was a bolt under it that held something in place, I forget what it was exactly but I think it was another ground wire, it's been awhile since I installed these fogs. But that seemed to be the best option because it hides the wiring for the fogs and you avoid anything pulling it out of place or it getting caught up in the pedals. Basically it's the area I mention in the video around the 8:11 mark

Did you have to install a HID conversion kit ?
if by conversion kit you mean installing the HID bulbs, the ballasts, and wiring then yes.. projectors are stock on this model but if you don't have projectors already i highly suggest you don't install HID bulbs in a reflector housing as it's not going to disperse the light from the bulbs the way it's meant to and will be blinding to other drivers.. i only recommend installing HIDs in projectors
what color is the switch when it turns on? green?
yea the switch is a green light.. annoyingly bright as well lol
I covered mine with electrical tape, way too bright.
