How to install rear reflectors that light up with your driving lights and brakes. I spliced into my iJDMTOY 4th brake light / rear fog light harness for my install, but I have more info at the end of the video for connecting these directly to the tail light harness. If you get the pro version reflectors, they will have a 4th wire that you need to tap into the turn signal positive wires. I'll include a link to a 4-pin connector for those below.

You’re the only person on UA-cam I know that still owns and post videos of the tC. Really nice, because I just purchased one and I know nothing about the upgrades. I went from an accord to tC.
I like working on my tC and I try to share what I know since it's pretty hard to find stuff online. I used to do actual write up DIYs for my turbo 2001 Corolla when I had it, again since no one else had that info online. Plus, it's kind of fun making these videos.

I just recently bought some and I’m planning on just connecting them to the taillights. Do I still need a 4 pin connector? Also what else besides shrink tube and electric tape do you recommend on using?
Yes, otherwise you won't be able to take your bumper off in the future without having to cut the wires. Just follow my video, solder the wires together so they're secure, and wrap them heat shrink tubing or electrical tape. If you use tape, I like to put a small zip tie around it to keep it from coming off.
Another thing. The wires had to go under the bumper right? There isn’t a different way to put them through
@@angelnino2167 they go through the bumper. You have to drill a hole and run the wires up and behind.
Do you know which wire is the turn signal wire? My sequential lights don’t signal
The turn signal wire on the LED or on the car? On the car, just trace the wire from the turn signal and tap the one that ISN'T white with the black stripe. For the LED, it should have come with instructions, but usually black is negative, white is tail light, red is brake light, and yellow is the turn signal.

What is the black thing surrounding those lights? Did you wrap the area around with a wrap?

As long as you keep the wiring polarity correct, yes.
Hey Derrick good morning, so I received my reflectors yesterday and made the hole on both sides however how do I get the wires to come up. Ok no problem I figured it out how to get it up there. Just one more question what color is the turn signal? Cause I have hello for turning but where I need the wire color
You should be able to use the hole that you ran the 4th brake light wires through to the passenger taillight. I don't know about the drivers side without actually looking, but your best bet is to remove the trim in the trunk and look and see if there are any capped off holes.
Can this be wired directly onto the 4th brake light in the bumper? I don't wanna dig into the whole harness again
That's exactly what I ended up doing with mine. I just added some 3 pin waterproof connectors to the 4th brake light harness for the reflector lights.

greetings I did everything as you show in the video and now my car turns on the light of check engine and the one of trac off that failure could have happened
It sounds like it is not wired correctly. Double check everything. Test all the wires with a multimeter and have someone in the car push the brakes to make sure you are tapping into the correct wires.

Should be the green wire with the white stripe.
friend I wrote to the seller I'm from Puerto Rico but she says it is not compatible with the scion tc 2014
What part are you talking about? The rear reflector lights? The only part I have a video for that I got from Puerto Rico are my King Fiber eyelids and those are for the 2014-2016 tCs.

@@trevorc8325 agreed, though I've seen people online cut their bumpers to fit the 2011-2013 taillights.

@@trevorc8325 just take your time. Trust me, I was super nervous when I cut that big hole in my front bumper for my intake duct.

Did you use my video at ua-cam.com/video/Fe0c2YZER28/v-deo.html when you did the install? I would just double check the wiring. Maybe unplug the harness and connect the wires directly to the battery to make sure both sets of LEDs work before trying to troubleshoot further.

Where did you get your 3rd brake light?
Do you mean the solid red 3rd brake light up high (it's painted with red tint paint and has a flasher wired in per ua-cam.com/video/t2iW7VeIsw4/v-deo.html) or the 4th brake light per ua-cam.com/video/T5lwvbl2NRo/v-deo.html
The 3rd brake light up high. I was thinking about buying a smoked black and a flasher wire. Also don’t know which brand to get for the 3rd brake light; (auto dynasty) or (DNA Motoring). Which one would you recommend?
I've only used DNA Motoring in the past, but I think they're both about the same.

Can you use those on the xb front bumper?
These are only for the tC and Prius rear bumper. I don't think it'll fit the front bumper of the xB without modification.
Should have connected these to the turn signals
My turn signals are already mega bright to begin with.
