thank you so much, I am a dumb person and I was able to install fog lights on my tc, the first time I saw this video I didnt understand anything but once I had the lights in hand everything was pretty simple :)
@@DIYAUTOCAR hey man I walked out to my car and my foglights were on, and wouldn’t turn off, I had to disconnect them from the battery, you know whAt can be the issue?
IT IS NOT THE ONLY BLUE WIRE... The correct wire is the DARK BLUE and SILVER STRIPES. It is NOT a SOLID BLUE wire. THIS IS A GREAT INSTALLATION VIDEO AND IS A GREAT GUIDELINE THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT.
Thank you for this video. I was struggling with getting my fog lights wired up and i was struggling with getting the switch wired in and this helped me tremendously.
I still don't understand the wiring process, you should of showed it step by step. I already know how to install the fog light assembly to the bumper, the wiring part is where I'm stuck.
How exactly did you close up the exposed blue wire with the red wire? Wouldn’t it be split 3 directions? Also did you have to use any wire crimps during the installation process and where did you end up putting the red wire instead of with the remote start?
Hey what’s upp man I followed up your steps to your tutorial and I seem I have run into some trouble with the fog lights the they don’t turn on but the inside does There something I might of missed? Or any suggestions
This video is very helpful thank you very much I will try to instal my own fog lights on my Scion tC 2012! Wish me luck I’ll be following each step that you made in your video 😬 just one question ? For the last wire that you mention(BlueWire) min 10:17 you had to cut the wire open to connect it together with the other wire that was left correct?
I Installed a similar kit on my 12 TC, wired the same way, but 1 fog light flashes while the other stays on solid, when I hit the switch again they just switch sides... any suggestions? Has this happened on yours?
No, this has not happened. They have worked flawlessly ever since we installed them. If everything is wired up exactly the same way that I did in this video then I would suspect that there's an issue with the fog lights/switch/relay.
I also do remote start installations so I knew that wire was something that is normally connected for remote start installs. I looked it up the color on the12volt.com and tested it with a digital multimeter.

Glad you figured it out man. It looks like a lot when you get the package but as you saw, it's pretty straight forward.

Glad it could help.
You can also use a fuse tap to piggy back off the parking light fuse, its pretty easy and no splicing into the harness.
Is all the extra red wire necessary to use for it to work. I tried leaving it out but battery clicking when ignition on, not sure what it could be

So the 2012 doesn't come pre-wired for the fog lights?
This particular one did not.
Just curious, if i don’t want the switch to be illuminated can i just skip that step? i really don’t want a bright green light shining in my eyes
We didn't try. I think she ended up coloring over it with a marker or something so it was not as bright.
Super helpful video! I've been trying to find on for the gen1 tC with no luck, gonna reference this for wiring up my '05 inside!
Good luck, hopefully it helps a bit even though there will be differences.
Hey I know this was 3 years ago but I’d like to know how long did the fog lights lasted until u had to replace them?
We sold the car last year and they were still working fine. They even survived a front end crash that damaged the bumper and fenders.
Hey what’s upp man I followed up your steps to your tutorial and I seem I have run into some trouble with the fog lights the they don’t turn on but the inside does

I think the fog lights aren't flush because it gives the space for a lip to go on, cause I have the lip on mine and it make the whole more smaller

No problem. Sorry that I didn't reply earlier. I don't always get the notifications. I'm glad that it could help.
So did you connect the wire that was left to the blue wire?
what size bulbs are the fog lights? can they fit an LED bulb?
I'm not sure offhand to be honest. We didn't look at the bulb number/size. I imagine you can probably get an LED replacement though.

DIYAutoCarage thank you for the fast response. I will inspect the relay. Very helpful video as well, It helped a lot.
No problem. Good luck.
Thanks for the video it was informative.
I'm glad that it helped.
nice video but you dont have to remove the bumper skin !!!
It makes running the wiring nicely a lot easier. It's not a hard bumper to remove anyways.
@@DIYAUTOCAR smooth man smooth !!
How did you do it without removing the bumper ?
If they're oem genuine toyota, how long should the job take?
The process is basically the same. I'd say an hour or two.
Since when does Patrick mahomes have a scion tc?
This was the worst comment in the history of comments. Maybe ever.
