In my opinion, best fight in atla. Everyone always says that the last Agni kai was the best fight and I’m definitely not saying it was a bad fight, it was a great fight. But the sheer amount of intensity and panic and threat that is going on in this fight sky’s the limit. This fight has been built up throughout the entire show. The final battle. And we not only see just how powerful the comet is, but aang mastering the avatar state forming the,what I like to call, “elemental atom” we see the emotion, the fear, and the conflict. The best fight.
The fact that it's also much LONGER than the Last Agni Kai helps. But we can all agree that the two fights are by far the best fights in the entire show.

IntergalacticTarifas the airship scene was one of the best in ATLA's entirety imo, the firebenders in perfect sync while getting into stance, almost like a dance, and the looming climax scene when Sokka's airship rams into the others. Isn't to say the other iconic scenes are bad, I just particularly enjoy this one.

There are certain portions of the music during the finale that I wish were released to the public like the sequence where Ozai was unleashing a raging inferno into the barricade of stone that aang used to shield himself. Music in that sequence was chaotic.
Its not targeted towards children and people all ages watch it. And its music is awesome. It is the greatest cartoon ever created. Its more than just a "Kids show"

Story about Zuko's mom: She is still alive but she has changed her face by a spirit and lives with the love of her life, wich isnt Ozai but a childhood friend. She was forced to marry Ozai. While they were married her mom was always sending letters to her friend and once she wanted to know if Ozai checks her letters so she writed down that Zuko isnt Ozai's son (wich isnt true btw) and when Ozai saw the letter he wanted to kill Zuko, but Zuko's mom saved Zuko by begging Ozai that if she will leave Ozai that he wouldn't hurt Zuko. And that's how it went. Sorry for the spoilers

0:50 The fiery clash is a striking reflection of the nature of the two opponents: one is characterised by brute force and attack, the other by elegance and blocking. The strenght of characters of two them are roughly equal. Also I love how they increases the tension when the trio turns into position and speeds up the zeppelin. It's a pity that I can't hear the violin at the end right before they crush the first half of the fleet.

Something about those metal drums inspires a sense of urgency. I was recently listening to the 1917 movie OST and in the track Sixteen Hundred Men, a similar sounding instrument is incorporated.
I wish I had watched this series back when it was first airing. Or had gotten the dvds when they first came out. So when I watch Korra I could feel that sense of nostalgia...
If you want the truth, I think this show is better watching it as an adult as you can better appreciate the phenomenal character development (ESPECIALLY the character development), character depth, character arcs, character relationships, art direction, imagination, the flashy action, powerful music, amazing animation, threatening villain, and the surprisingly deep, quite mature themes (themes like war, genocide, imperialism, and dictatorship are rarely explored in youth).
I really wonder the perspective of fire nation soliders during this, they must've been thinking, "welp we lost, time to go back home, then attend this assembly where our former enemy's are also at. This is gonna be akward". Or even everyone at the fire nation palace when the fight between Zuko and Azula took place

Also I love how they increases the tension when the trio turns into position and speeds up the zeppelin. It's a pity that I can't hear the violin at the end right before they crush the first half of the fleet.

This is so epic. The finale episode makes me cry every single time, and I am watching Avatar for the 5th time.

If you want the truth, I think this show is better watching it as an adult as you can better appreciate the phenomenal character development (ESPECIALLY the character development), character depth, character arcs, character relationships, art direction, imagination, the flashy action, powerful music, amazing animation, threatening villain, and the surprisingly deep, quite mature themes (themes like war, genocide, imperialism, and dictatorship are rarely explored in youth).
I really wonder the perspective of fire nation soliders during this, they must've been thinking, "welp we lost, time to go back home, then attend this assembly where our former enemy's are also at. This is gonna be akward".
Or even everyone at the fire nation palace when the fight between Zuko and Azula took place
