The mixer to bridge to 3d program combo has become extremely powerful and is a huge time saver
Quixel is on fire with these UE4 sub-tutorials, keep em' coming!
cool :) looking forward to the extended breakdown, always enjoy those!

Hokkaido Ramen
It says Hokkaido Ramen
@@dcool5567 No it's gibberish you can read it as Hokudaicyou Ramen or Kitaoozuka Ramen => Northern Large Hill?
Hokkaido is 北海道.
@@stargazerch.3605 / I read it again, seriously Hokkaido Ramen? Man I don't know what I read?
Thank you so much quixel. I love all your ue4 tutorials so much!!!!
Cheers
Lovely 🔥
I didn't know the blend material had the liquid, I was wondering how you guys were doing such nice puddles. Awesome!
i love the visual storytelling; seems like a neighbour above had an urge to steal a street barricade and then left it on the balcony, which was way to weak tu support the thing... and wam, it crashed down to the street. awesome scene!
Damn dude. You make this look so easy!
James Lucas sir what a great video and what a great tutorial Thank you so much and keep up the awesome Mr q 😁
Breathtaking!
Great job!!
Thanks man for your sharing
Thank you!
I'm melting :)
Next I would love to see you guys work a bit in Unity with its HDRP. Also, you guys should try a Halo-inspired scene! I would LOVE to see a remake of a set piece from Halo CE!
WOW, you got me, i insta download the programm with out to know i was on his channel!
GoodWork! nice tutorial too
this was a good bridge ad
This quixel software is very useful for unreal engine 4 game developer I really love is tools
Wow, probs should come back and look at this after doing a beginners course, feeling overwhelmed 🤣 was just interested to see what you did though.
So are these scenes with this level of detail OK for game play or are these just for rendering out etc?
Wait! How does the blend mat work for the puddles refl amount? How do the paint line decals stick to the road mesh? How does the trash brush work??
Awesome . :)
Did you make the umbrella fabrics with a fabric simulator?
I'm trying to achieve this result of shading and transparency but I can't.
@quixel, this is really nice, except mow many credits worth of assets is this scene? Beautifully done though.
Nice
Awesome!
I want this josh's post apocalyptic work link!
How do you add the puddles using the Blue Channel, do they come by default while importing from Bridge?
Nice but how did you make the rain effect ??? any tutorial ?
can i use the materials and assets in the megascans libray for commercial work ?
Looking much much better than CDPR's Cyberpunk 2077
Anyone know what that software is where he drops in all the image files and they all appear next to each other so they're easy to view and reference? That looks so useful for creating moodboards!
I wanna know too!!
PureRef !
@@bibz3 Thank you very much, I've been looking for it for a long time and you've saved me a lot of time.

I wanted to see the scene
Hello.. there.. nice lighting, can you plz ans. me : - I am a asset artist.. my current skills are Modelling (Maya) Texturing (Substance Painter/Photoshop) , I want to be a level designer (AAA gaming) So just started a unreal basics.
My question is what skills are required for level designer?
Is it needed to learn another program like blender or maya to presculpt scenes?
@quixel do you also make full length tutorials similar to Udemy courses, that includes all the assets, textures, etc, where one starts from scratch and end with a final scene?
Unreal engine 4 is totally insane
Could you share your puddle vertex paint material?
man i need to make street and i have matt and tex but how to make texture huge for mask the xity streets ??
I was under the impression that Quixel Mixer was no longer available/supported?
You should teach me lmaoooo I've been trying to get into game making forever. And the cyberpunk theme interests me heavily
well if this is how you think you go about getting a mentor I got bad news for you

Legend PTBR , Please
Is the project available to download? I would really like to test it and mod it in Unreal 5
@Quixel How do I use 2 or more environments and merge them on ue4
Just curious why you modeled a pot hole and then completely covered it over in assets. Other than that, awesome work. :)
What is the program used when viewing the images, I've been looking for something similar for a while but wasn't able to find one, could you tell me the name of it and where I could buy/download it?

What is your computer build? CPU, RAM, motherboard, etc. I'm looking to buy parts for a new computer that is (hopefully) a breeze to use in 3d animation and game creation. My budget is in the $2,000-$3,000 range. Anyone have any suggestions?
your voice sounds exactly like andy kaufman
how did you import the UE4 Mannequin in Maya please ?
how does a decal in quixel work? more like a texture or a 3d mesh itself?
Just an alpha masked texture that you can put on top of other textures, simply put! :)
@quixel Love this, but can you or anyone else explain how you went from maya with all that detail and had it in the unreal engine as I am unaware that you could create that in maya and just import it and unreal would create those kinds of shapes or did you just make the shapes in maya as a reference then build the actual build blocks and meshes in unreal engine? I appreciate any info on this.
Hi there! We'll be covering this more in detail in the livestream :)
I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, but Unreal Engine is not used to create models or textures. These are imported into Unreal after being created in other programs (Eg: Maya, Blender or 3DS Max for 3D modeling. Quixel or Substance Painter for texturing). The detailed models in this video were imported from Quixel Megascans, which is a library of fully modeled and textured 3D assets. In the most simple term, Unreal Engine is the program that simulates the lighting and physics of a level. Most of the things that populate the level are usually created outside of Unreal Engine.
@@jackj147Aww ok, thanks I really appreciate the info as I am new to unreal engine and The videos I had seen I just assumed they created the designs with the blocks/cubes you can create in unreal and then added textures/meshes to that, but now it makes a lot more sense to create a proper 3d environment in say maya and export that to unreal and use unreal as creating the scene so to speak.
@@theadnart1Great, look forward to the great information.
@@lostwithdan4331 Exactly. UE4 has it's own simple blocks (called Geometry Brushes) but these are only used for blocking out levels quickly for play testing. These usually replaced later in production with meshes created and textured elsewhere.
Is this seem good for beaing in a game inviroment ?
Очень круто сделал хотел бы я так создаватьXD
Next Destiny Moon ?
What PC are you using, or does anyone else have Ue4 on pc, can you please tell me what type of PC too use
probably double gtx 1080 and i9
what software is this?
what program does he use 0:51 ? to drag the references into a mood-board.

Whats this software for reference images at 0:51?
PureRef. It's open source
Whats the software u use in beginig to order reference images?
It's called PureRef. Awesome app for reference, moodboarding, sharing within a team etc.
It's available for free, or whatever price you want to pay, from pureref.com :)
What exactly does megascan? Or what does He scan? And for which Use? Can someone explain me what quixel exactly does
its just a bunch of real world photos converted to 3d assets used for free only by unreal engine users others might have to pay
@@BROCKSGAMING great thanks
Your PC specs please
cool beans
0:46 is nice... 0:13 something's wrong with this scene, no rain sparks in the boulder?!
This Scene is not plausible at all...The City actually doing something about potholes!? : )
It all looks great.
But why did you abandon Unity ?
Unity has been updated, you can show new features with HDRP!
Woow
Why do you always use expensive thing like maya?
Oh so you're a Cyberpunk Dev. Now it makes sense.
Where can we get the project file?
Are there any Quixel tutorials that DON'T involve Maya?
it's just a 3D modelling software, all 3D moulding Sofware export the same file types so makes no difference
I'm kinda curious about the price of all these textures and models, they are truly amazing but i'm flat broke so no quixel for me
Quixel Bridge and Mixer, along with Megascans are all free to use as of last November. You can use all the assets shown in this video if you want :)
@@vip1691 Oh thanks for your reply, i'll look into it
Quixel what was that reference app at 0:51 ?
I think its PureRef
Quixel make some games already i'm sick of companies using dull textures you guys are next gen can you make a demo where we can explore some of your levels to experience next gen??
Lol CD project need this man 😂
please tell me that we will see this kind of graphics in next generation consoles or not???
it aint even impressive .... god of war has better graphics
@@arielscorpion68 haha agreed! Not really the crazy detailed stuff we're used to from quixel. Also the post process is boring and doesn't follow the ref
why is some items @2:02 blurred out?

How about unreal engine 5
What if I don't have Maya?
use blender
Никуя не понял,но очень интересно
*Holy shit, i would NOT be suprised if we could create ''artificial videos'' in a few years. Basically, animations that look so detailed, you might as well have used a REAL camera, Not a physics* */modelling engine inside of a PC.*
tell me why megascans is so expensive and has no student liscene
Bro the base one only lets you use 50 models
All of which are shit.
Total ripoff
at least you modeled something
This is how God created the Earth.

Scenes like these can be produced using weak software like Sketchup 3D and Lumion. It's the full control of the world and objects/assets that's constantly telling me to switch to something like UE4.
Pretty easy when you have a ton of premade resources. Pretty much just drag and drop game design
this actually is underwelming if you look at what cd project red made XD
yeah, i can't believe this guy couldn't manage to do what a team of 500 developers with 314 million dollars did. smh so dissapointed.
@@pandukartosedono4107 yeah because normally I think they do a better job then the original game because its just one scene. cdpr has so much attention to detail that even he cannot make it look better in only 1 scene
@@CyberPonz-nc3oh i completely agree with you bro. this guy is so bad that he can't do what CDPR did in 7 years, with 500 people and 300 million dollars.
