Your reaction to the mirror scene! 🤣 When I first watched, I was tearing up, laughing, covering one eye and grabbing my poor sister's arm as she was screaming. It was crazy! And the fact that we knew as soon as we saw that furniture, that it was the one they broke while filming that scene, made things so much better. 🤣🤣🤣
The love making scene is practically perfect. If you have followed these characters, you know that they love each other through knowing each other for so long(except for the Whistledown part). The scene is the natural progression of their love for each other. Colin wanted Pen to understand that he loves her, sees her as beautiful, and he used the mirror to show her that. Pay attention to what he says to her. She in turn, is trusting him so much! There is nothing pornographic about this scene. It is not the plumber coming over to clean the pipes! The sex scenes from Bridgerton 1 were far more uncomfortable, as the viewer never knew for certain if the Duke loved Daphne. This though, because of their relationship and history, was beautiful.
I love your reaction to the mirror scene. I think we can all admit that Pen/Nicola is 🔥 🔥 🔥. And I will tell you that if I heard “Lie down” I would have catapulted over to that couch! 😂
I think the intimate scene was just sooo realistic. They’re usually quite flashy with many cuts, but you could really follow along here what was happening. It made me feel like I shouldn’t be watching😅 (I did. Multiple times.)
This is my favorite season. I think it felt more complete, the plot had more depth to the story other than just the same will they will they not fall in love. They already fell in love, but they have to work to make it work with traumas, insecurity and self love.
Every moment between Pen and Collin felt so real. I loved how even after finding out about LW, after the fight on the street, Collin was still so in love with her. He was angry but he still loved her. He was visibly into marrying her at the wedding and that first dance at the wedding was everything. Add to that the healing within the Featherington family and Pen's relationship with Eloise, it was to me the best season of them all.
@@namaramary57 every season keeps getting better! When I think of how I felt when season 1 premiered and I fell in love with the show...but every season has topped the one before. I can't wait for s4 (HOW IN THE HELL will we wait two years?!)
You guys have media literacy🙌🏼🙌🏼 I swear there are people so blind that don't understand the show/season (or just wanna hate) when it's so easy to understand it
I mean, Penelope saved Colin from a marriage with a girl who did not love him and would make him raise her child with another without ever telling him. She saved Eloise from both the Queen and ruin if she got caught with Theo (she would be ruined, Francesca and Hyacinth would be too, and Theo would most likely be killed or arrested). And, for "badmouthing" Colin, she wasn't wrong and he also humilliated her in front of a lot of guys of the ton. He, a man, of a respected family, telling eligible bachelors that the wallflower everyone mocked was not worthy of marriage. Thing is, she is a woman, with no prospects, an abusive mother and sisters, a disgraced father, financial problems. Marriage was getting unlikely. Whistledown was her chance of a future. None of the Bridgertons can relate, because they are rich and well-liked and the family is supportive. It's easy for them to judge her when they have big bro Anthony and daddy's trust fund to save the day. He is allowed to be mad, of course. She did play God with her power. But she never lied, she wasn't gratuitously cruel (unless the person deserved it), she always favored his family and she was just putting a mirror in front of a hypocritical society, that ostracized her for not "fitting in", and showing how ugly they were. She knew gossip, because the ton would gossip. They all do exact the same as Whistledown. She just got lucky to find a way to have her voice heard, while she never felt seen.
Yes, absolutely, definitely👏👏 agree with this comment.. I think people seem to forget that they are not living in the 21st century and can not do the same things we get to do.. I think Rizzo from the Pink Podcast said it best " get your bag gurl " 😂😂
I watched your reactions twice. First to see if you gasped at the same things I did, then to pay attention to all thr story points you noticed! I LOVE how invested you all are in each character. This is what watching soap operas was like back in the day ❤
This is honestly my favorite season of Bridgerton. Going back and rewatching the whole season after seeing part 2 just really solidified it for me. I know people had expectations but I went in with no expectations and just excited to see everything unfold and it was so good. I understand everyone has different opinions but I’ve been seeing so much negatively towards the actors and I just think that is too far and unnecessary. You can tell Nicola and Luke put their all into this season and they did amazing!
I loved it too! It's my favorite season for sure! Some people just love to be miserable and complain about everything. I felt like they did Pen and Colin's love story justice. Plus, we're going to get to see them blissfully happy and in love in season 4 like we got to see Kate and Anthony this season.
Great to see your watchalongs up (off to 6 now). I really loved season 3 and this was a great ep. The intimate scene was beautifully done in my opinion. It really focussed on a genuine love and connection between two people who have known each other for so long. Probably the most authentic intimate scene I've seen on screen and the laughter at the end was perfect. Also loved Colin standing up to Portia. Time she realised how badly she's treated her daughter - "our" Bridgerton name. Yes, Colin. Good for you!
If the sofa be rocking, it might come to the floor eventually....they broke that piece of furniture. What a perfect first time scene. You almost feel like you are intruding.
I never clicked faster on a video 😂 i had to pause twice for a cigarette break during THAT scene... This was intense. Love all your reactions and comments! Love from germany
I'm getting a little frustrated with how people are trying to make Penelope out to be a villain. From the very first issue Penelope has said Lady Whistledown is essentially a view on the Ton and society as a whole. She is not out right lying, what she reports is the truth. The people mentioned in the Whitledown papers may not like it, but it is a reflection on their own or their families actions. Penelope reports what she observes, what she hears at balls and in various drawing rooms. This is gossip other people are already discussing, she's just found a way to make money off of it. As has been stated from the beginning of this show, the women are raised to get married. She is ignored by everyone in the Ton, inducing her own family except for Eloise and Colin. She's seen as a wallflower with no prospects. So because she feels so silenced and on the outside of society, why wouldn't she do something to give herself a voice. I truly feel that she has said more intentionally hurtful and cruel things about others of the Ton, her own family and herself than any of the Bridgerton's in all three seasons. Season1 - she reports that society thinks it's boring that the Violet and Edmond named the children in alphabetical order - big woop - she reports on the ongoing status of The Duke and Daphne's courtship, the times it seems to be going well and the times it's not - she reports when The Prince get's involved and shows interest in Daphne - she saves Daphne from having to marry Lord Burebrook by reporting his illegitimate child. By doing so he is forced to cancel the marriage and discount anything he would have said about Daphne being unintentionally alone with him on the dark walk. If that had gotten out, then not only would she have been ruined but so would all of her sisters. - She reports that Colin shows interest in Marina. And in reality he sees Marina all of 4 times at the Featherington home or at a ball before he proposes marriage. When Penelope tires to warn him that Marina does not love him, he brushes her off. Could Penelope have out right said that Marina was pregnant, yes. But I think Penelope knows Colin very well and if she would have told him of this situation, he would have wanted to rescue Marina and marry her anyways. Colin basically says this to Marina in their last confrontation of season 1. Even Anthony praises Lady Whistledown for bring that scandal to light. Otherwise Colin would have been tricked into this marriage and when the babies were born all of the Ton would have known they were not his children causing him disgrace, or they would assume he "compromised" Marina before they married also disgracing Colin - The reporting of Marina being pregnant before coming to town actually hurts Penelope, her sisters and mother more than it does any of the Bridgertons. They are already a family that's not looked highly upon by the Ton, then add this scandal on top of it. Penelope did this knowing the consequences to both her direct family and Marina all to save Colin from a loveless marriage and shame. Season 2 - I don't recall any negative thing she says about Colin. - I don't recall any negative are implied reporting of the love triangle between Anthony, Kate and Edwina - As for Eloise, what does she actually report in the Whitledown papers after repeatedly warning Eloise about secretly seeing Theo behind her family's back? She reports that Eloise has been seen reading material / going to political radical events. Not that she's been in the bad part of town, not that she's been alone with a boy (who in many circumstances she would have been forced to marry) or that this boy was below Eloise in rank. Coupled with the fact that Eloise was going out of her ever loving mind when she thought the Queen believed Eloise was Whitledown. Was it hurtful, sure. But Eloise knew what she was doing was unacceptable by her family and society standards, that's why she was hiding it. Did stopping Eloise help Penelope yes, but I truly feel that wasn't Penelope's intent. She was doing the best she could under the circumstances. How many times did Penelope warn Eloise to stop seeing Theo and going to that part of town? How many times did she try to distract Eloise from perusing the identity of Lady Whitledown? Eloise lives in a privileged situation unlike Penelope. Her brother is a high ranking aristocrat and their family is well liked in society. We see that by the start of Season 3. All of the bothers and sisters are still out in society, both Daphne and Anthony have made good love matches with respected people, and are still able to walk through society with no negative impact. Season 3 - through the first 5 episodes (not saying anything else b/c you haven't seen those yet) - she had not reported or said anything about Eloise. In fact the only comment she's made about Colin is that she was questioning he personality when he returned back to society. This was eluded to by Eloise herself in episode one and two. Colin was being fake and the people who really knew him could see it. He's embarrassed that he was called out. Ok, but be a man already and not a whinny baby. She also said this before he had apologized. Colins words at the end of Season 2 were more damaging to Penelope in society, than her causal remarks about his personality. In fact, Penelope said more harmful things about herself at this point in Season 3 than any of the Brigertons.
The fact that i almost cry in this scene for the representation and you guys reacted like thats is so funny to me kkkkk plus the difference between male and female reactions to this too😂
Funny, part 1 was colin accepting himself for who he is, a big old softy who loves pen. And accepting himself got him pen so good for him. Part 2 is probably pen accepting herself fully and lets see if colin can handle/love that. Not to mention her family.
I think it's interesting that Penelope is kind of an exhibitionist. She's fascinated by Colin's previous lovers whereas a lot of women would be jealous.
I think that was the quick math of them thinking, "If Cressida is 18, then thrice her age is 54." Not them actually thinking he is 54; although that's what it sounded like.
I honestly think people are misunderstanding Violet's reaction to Francesca and John. She is perfectly fine with them being in love and happy that her daughter is happy. She's just worried about how the queen will take it and how that will affect their family. And Eloise. She was a full out toddler this episode. Infuriating. She never noticed that her best friend had feelings for her brother? Some friend she is. And then this stupid ultimatum, given at the ENGAGEMENT PARTY, essentially ruining Pen's first public happy moment ever. Reminding her of the clock and upping her anxiety. When, do tell, would Pen have a chance to tell Colin in this very public setting that they are both the focus of? Eloise knows Colin won't take it well, and she's demanding he find out in front of everyone? And then bulldozing over Pen trying to tell him when she is in the middle of a full blown panic attack?? Eloise gets better by the end of the season, but this ep, she was a cruel and bitchy toddler.
I agree about Violet! I also think she just wants to see a more passionate union, which John and Francesca are *in their way,* but it's not what Violet knows herself or has seen with her other kids so she's a little confused by their super chill dynamic.
I think it feels quick because we didn't get a lot of Polin in the first part. But you have to keep in mind their relationship has been building for years. 0:51
😂😂😂 your reaction to the mirror scene did not disappoint. I hope you really enjoy the rest of the season, ive seen so much backlash on a couple of things and im so sad about it as i really enjoyed it. You are never going to please everyone i guess 😢
When the other guy said “More what?” during Pen + Colin’s first time, I cackled so much. 😅 His statement and reaction were just so friggin’ hilarious. 😂
People complaining about the sex scene being ‘too much’ were the first ones to complain that there wasn’t enough in S2, that Kate & Anthony’s wasn’t detailed or overt enough, and also that you wanted more steamy scenes this season and feel short-changed. Do any of you even know what you want? Or is being contrary literally the only thing you know how to do online anymore? This whole discourse is so stupid. Just people complaining for the sake of it.
lmaoo & this is funny cuz i felt like i was imposing on daphne & simon🤣 those were real explicit imo only difference is her boobs werent shown i dont think??
@@janiyasamuels4181 yes! Thank you for saying this! I so rarely see anybody mention Simon & Daphne’s first sex scene in this discussion, and I personally felt like they were at the same level of detail and steam. In fact, you’re right, the Simon & Daphne one probably more so because his ass was fully out lmao And look, I don’t wanna be the person who cries fatphobia for everything, but at some point you’ve got to start asking why some people feel ok with the more graphic Simon/Daphne scene but not the one between Colin & Pen, which was actually a very real, raw and lovely depiction of a first time. Like what is it about THIS ONE specifically that people find hard to watch? I think we all know the answer even if they would never admit it.
I guess people complain because they feel uncomfortable, like they’re intruding. I don’t think it’s that graphic. People act like sex is so taboo, but a lot of it is done naked. It just boggles me when people say it’s “too graphic,” like it only belongs in porn or something. And porn bugs me so much because more often than not…it’s not an accurate portrayal of what sex is like IRL. We need healthy depictions of sex in media, and this scene depicts that so well.
@@janiyasamuels4181we definitely get a few peeks at Daphne’s boobs in a few scenes not just 1 and we also get a peek at Kate’s at the very end of season 2. I think that because Penelope has such large natural ones they stand out more to people.
@@jessicamagri8211 People definitely have a very weird relationship with sex these days. And I agree, this scene is a very healthy depiction that I think we need to see more of so we can normalise what it’s actually like and not be afraid to talk about it, for education purposes at the very least and the topic of body positivity. I guess I just find it baffling when people are like, “We want more sexy scenes. No fade to black. No cuts. More steam.” So the writers are like, “Okay, here you go.” And then they’re all, “Nah, I don’t like that actually.” lol it just feels like they can’t win literally ever.
I love watching your guy’s faces when things get spicy bc you 😊 😅 and it’s so cute and funny. And if Rob turns away from the screen you know it was really shocking him.
She cares so much because she knows Pen is Whistledown and keeping it from Colin. Also in her (somewhat narcissistic) brain, she thinks Pen may have been using her all along to get to Colin. 4:58
Fun fact: Luke and Nicola broke the couch when they were filming their love scene, I think the leg snapped or something. Nicola spoke with her Irish accent so they couldn’t have used it in the show. Would have been a really funny scene. Nicola posted a photo of her and Luke next to the broken furniture.
Im i the only one with second hand embarrassment on the sex scene. I mean i tried to cover my eyes but then had to take back and boldly watch it. It felt so real like they were in my living room. I was embarrassed intruding on such first timer energy.
You accuse Pen of so much when all she did was protect them. But, despite how much I love Kate and Anthony, Kate lied to her sister and actually damaged the Bridgerton name for longer than the Eloise bit, by letting her sister find out by herself at THE ALTAR that was something going on between her and Anthony and run out of the aisle with the Queen present!! Also she lied to Edwina about the reason she had to marry, she had to marry someone with a title in order to get her money… all this with Edwina being made a 🤡 for the entire season! It was awful. Yet no one remembers that.
i really think thats the only sex scene i know of where its a plus size woman portrayed in a light that sex scenes normally are with skinny actors, i wasnt a fan of many of the choices they made for s3 but that was one i really liked ❤
She's not even plus sized. It's the media continuing to perpetuate that women need to be thin. Nicola is actually smaller than the average size for women.
@@SubKweenno she is chubby or has some weight on her. That’s why people didn’t actually expect for them to show her body naked. I’m glad she chose to be naked
Did anyone feel that during the s e x scene, on couch, they kinda blurred her back ?! I felt there was some editing involved. Is it just me ? Because it has been troubling me so much. For the first time they show not a skinny lead and then they choose to blur stuff !?
I was sitting there thinking, why, other than the obvious, was Cressida willing to throw it all way, but the Queen literally offered up the equivalent of like $600,000 USD as her reward for finding Whistledown.

Nicola is stunning and she absolutely was amazing as was Luke. They had amazing chemistry and it was just perfect.
Y’all are just about the cutest group of guys on the internet reacting to Bridgerton. 😊❤
they really are kings
This is my favorite season. I think it felt more complete, the plot had more depth to the story other than just the same will they will they not fall in love. They already fell in love, but they have to work to make it work with traumas, insecurity and self love.
That’s because Pen and Colin have a history and we have had the chance to watch their characters grow on screen and fall in love. It’s so wonderful!!
Finally someone who gets it
Every moment between Pen and Collin felt so real.
It was so beautiful. Their journey of love and growth is like none I’ve ever seen 😢❤
16:04 “the babies are gonna be born old” lmaooo
I laughed so hard 😂😂😂
loved the delight in y'all's eyes during the Couch Scene... looking really pleased for Pen 🤩🥰
Waiting for Rob to say crazy weather we're having 😂😂😂😂😂
🤣
16:02 "Cobwebs down there" I had to pause the video I was *howling* with laughter hahahaha
lol Rob got hit with that “Lie Down” command just like I did lol ❤😂❤
Nicola suggested that line 😂
There’s no way he’s still shooting 😂 I literally laughed out loud
"Cobwebs" 😂
You guys have media literacy🙌🏼🙌🏼
I swear there are people so blind that don't understand the show/season (or just wanna hate) when it's so easy to understand it
I mean, Penelope saved Colin from a marriage with a girl who did not love him and would make him raise her child with another without ever telling him.
She just got lucky to find a way to have her voice heard, while she never felt seen.
omg YES! I totally agree
i'm a little obsessed with this comment cause that's exactly how i feel about penelope and her arc
Every single word of this comment is pure gold! Thank you for this!
this is the perfect comment!
You can tell Nicola and Luke put their all into this season and they did amazing!
so true!!! people just love to hate these days.
I loved it too! It's my favorite season for sure! Some people just love to be miserable and complain about everything. I felt like they did Pen and Colin's love story justice. Plus, we're going to get to see them blissfully happy and in love in season 4 like we got to see Kate and Anthony this season.
Eu só queria mais cenas deles juntos.
for some reason it just felt the most real to me? can’t explain why.
@@hali_55 That's how I feel too! Which is why I think I love it so much
Rob’s fit for this episode is CRAZY
Great to see your watchalongs up (off to 6 now). I really loved season 3 and this was a great ep. The intimate scene was beautifully done in my opinion. It really focussed on a genuine love and connection between two people who have known each other for so long. Probably the most authentic intimate scene I've seen on screen and the laughter at the end was perfect. Also loved Colin standing up to Portia. Time she realised how badly she's treated her daughter - "our" Bridgerton name. Yes, Colin. Good for you!
Okay, Bryce's reaction was so sweet hands down during the intimate scene lmao
Hands down best reaction I've seen of the mirror scene 🤣👏🏽
Nicola (Penelope’s actor) said that she was proud to represent her community on screen- the perfect breast community. 😂 She did not lie 🤭
I think Nicola would really appreciate your guys reaction to those yitties. 😏😂 I love this reaction so much!
If the sofa be rocking, it might come to the floor eventually....they broke that piece of furniture. What a perfect first time scene. You almost feel like you are intruding.
Rob looking like Prince Charming 😊 excited to watch this reaction ❤
I never clicked faster on a video 😂 i had to pause twice for a cigarette break during THAT scene... This was intense. Love all your reactions and comments! Love from germany
YASSSSSSS! I'VE BEEN UPDATING YOUR HOME PAGE ALL DAYYYYYY FOR THIS REACTION!!!!!
Same
I'm getting a little frustrated with how people are trying to make Penelope out to be a villain.
Season1
- she reports that society thinks it's boring that the Violet and Edmond named the children in alphabetical order - big woop
- she reports on the ongoing status of The Duke and Daphne's courtship, the times it seems to be going well and the times it's not
- she reports when The Prince get's involved and shows interest in Daphne
- she saves Daphne from having to marry Lord Burebrook by reporting his illegitimate child.
Otherwise Colin would have been tricked into this marriage and when the babies were born all of the Ton would have known they were not his children causing him disgrace, or they would assume he "compromised" Marina before they married also disgracing Colin
- The reporting of Marina being pregnant before coming to town actually hurts Penelope, her sisters and mother more than it does any of the Bridgertons. They are already a family that's not looked highly upon by the Ton, then add this scandal on top of it. Penelope did this knowing the consequences to both her direct family and Marina all to save Colin from a loveless marriage and shame.
Season 2
- I don't recall any negative thing she says about Colin.
- I don't recall any negative are implied reporting of the love triangle between Anthony, Kate and Edwina
- As for Eloise, what does she actually report in the Whitledown papers after repeatedly warning Eloise about secretly seeing Theo behind her family's back?
Season 3
- through the first 5 episodes (not saying anything else b/c you haven't seen those yet) - she had not reported or said anything about Eloise.
"What carriage scene" 😂😂😂
The fact that i almost cry in this scene for the representation and you guys reacted like thats is so funny to me kkkkk plus the difference between male and female reactions to this too😂
rob looks so cutie awe 😭
Funny, part 1 was colin accepting himself for who he is, a big old softy who loves pen. And accepting himself got him pen so good for him. Part 2 is probably pen accepting herself fully and lets see if colin can handle/love that. Not to mention her family.
the 😳😦 “oh my GOD….” LMFAO me too guys me too
I was the same way lmao i had to cover my eyes during THE scene 😂😂 i was peeking through my fingers and hyperventilating lol
I think it's interesting that Penelope is kind of an exhibitionist. She's fascinated by Colin's previous lovers whereas a lot of women would be jealous.
Watched it a couple of times already. Here for your reactions. You guys are a hoot
54?!? Lord Old guy looks more in his 70s.
I think that was the quick math of them thinking, "If Cressida is 18, then thrice her age is 54." Not them actually thinking he is 54; although that's what it sounded like.
"Thank you, Lady Bridgerton."
😭😭😭
Pen SO needed that hug! 💚
The sex scene had all of us being like we were intruding. It actually felt like you were watching someone have sex for the first time.
I was so sad for Pen, not getting to enjoy her engagement party.
That scene felt so realistic and intimate, I almost felt like I was intruding and should leave the room.
Rob is rocking the Sgt. Pepper coat.
Your reaction to “lie down” is how everyone felt reading it in the book, this show was wild 🤪
“The babies are gonna be born old” I cantt 💀😂😂
You guys are brave for watching this together🤣🤣🤣
This reaction did not disappoint I was laughing my ass off!!
In fact, you’re right, the Simon & Daphne one probably more so because his ass was fully out lmao
And look, I don’t wanna be the person who cries fatphobia for everything, but at some point you’ve got to start asking why some people feel ok with the more graphic Simon/Daphne scene but not the one between Colin & Pen, which was actually a very real, raw and lovely depiction of a first time.
I knew you guys would love this and I am soo here for it!!! Great reaction as always!!
She cares so much because she knows Pen is Whistledown and keeping it from Colin. Also in her (somewhat narcissistic) brain, she thinks Pen may have been using her all along to get to Colin. 4:58
your faces 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Your faces was my face during the mirror because why was it so long omg 😅🤣
I’m adore this trio and your takes! Thanks!
Maybe they'll recreate it for next season 😅
Im i the only one with second hand embarrassment on the sex scene. I mean i tried to cover my eyes but then had to take back and boldly watch it. It felt so real like they were in my living room. I was embarrassed intruding on such first timer energy.
You guys are awesome!!!
Okayyy rob I see u , w fit
Right love it. ❤️
Love the outfit Rob!
Robs outfit ate
GIVE IT UP FOR ROB WITH THE OUTFIT!! He said i am IMMERSED👏🏾👏🏾❤️
12:41 I love in reactions how everyone got crazy with her EYES she is so seductive
Polin forever 😍😍😍😍😍😍
You accuse Pen of so much when all she did was protect them. But, despite how much I love Kate and Anthony, Kate lied to her sister and actually damaged the Bridgerton name for longer than the Eloise bit, by letting her sister find out by herself at THE ALTAR that was something going on between her and Anthony and run out of the aisle with the Queen present!! Also she lied to Edwina about the reason she had to marry, she had to marry someone with a title in order to get her money… all this with Edwina being made a 🤡 for the entire season! It was awful. Yet no one remembers that.
Love this Prince Charming costume
i really think thats the only sex scene i know of where its a plus size woman portrayed in a light that sex scenes normally are with skinny actors, i wasnt a fan of many of the choices they made for s3 but that was one i really liked ❤
I really hope you eventually read the book. The way Mrs. Featherington finds out about the engagement is wild.
Nicola is Venus! 🔥
She litterally looks like a Botticellian Venus
Pen's sisters are hilarious. I have a feeling we won't be seeing them much or at all in the future seasons and that's a shame.
I am here to admit I’m I’m love with zuff, rob and bryce
Best reaction EVER! i was very interested in how you guys could've reacted to the mirror scene. 😂
Penelope saved Eloise.. Eloise wasn’t ruined but the Queen is off her back anyways
£5000 in 1815 is about $705,000 today. That’s the bounty on Lady Whistledown.
I had a really hard time with this season cause the STRESS outweighed how lovely these two are🥰🥰
I was sitting there thinking, why, other than the obvious, was Cressida willing to throw it all way, but the Queen literally offered up the equivalent of like $600,000 USD as her reward for finding Whistledown.
