Thank you for the video! I was able to source a 9/16-18 bolt at my local Tractor Supply and it worked like a champ using a piece of 1/2" bolt as an extension like you suggested. Works great!
Hi I have some issue with my gator transmission Its working but with some struggle to push back and forward Its kind of stuck with a sound like clutch issues (i am just guessing) Really bother me What can i do
I wanted to take ours off the 6x4 we have, but was told it'll fly apart after I remove the bolt. Obviously, I was misinformed! Thank you for the video.
Yes, you can use the 54" QA blade if you have the correct quick hitch for the 420/430. Deere released the quick hitches for the 420/430 in 1992 as they released the 4-5 tractors. Granted the 420/430 quick hitches are not common, but they are required to use the QA style snow blade. Hopefully that that makes sense.
Here is a video I did on quick hitches. I can't remember if I covered the 420/430 in this one or not but it gives you an idea of what might work and what you are looking for. ua-cam.com/video/Jt_e1eJb-bM/v-deo.html

What was the length of the bolt after you cut it?
Why not just mark the bolt with a sharpie and then subtract another half inch?
How do you "split" the clutch /pully
Woukd heat not loosen it from shaft

Glad you found it useful!
They were probably talking about the secondary clutch. This here is the primary.
The shaft you removed what size is that is it a 1” taper like a golf cart?
Any chance you know part number for that clutch ?

Quick question will the new 54in quick attach snow blade for the Xseries fit the 430?

Be sure to use grade 8 bolts, I have read numerous posts on various forums of major problems caused by using grade 5 bolts.
Wouldn't it be a lot easier just to tell us how long the final bolt is? FFS
John deere should be ashamed of themselves selling this puller for $40
A
LOCK THE CLUTCH IN A VISE OR SOME THING FOR CRYING OUT LOUD
Grease, bread, putty, all would have worked, i bought a $3.50 bolt and the rest of the space I filled with bread
This video is of no help. Your to all over the place
you are no mechanic
Never claimed to be…. Are you? If you are you should start a UA-cam channel to show people how to do it right!
What actually goes wrong with the clutch? What wears out? Can it be fixed?
What was the length of the bolt after you cut it down?
