So, how do you get the rear axles off the transmission….im trying to pull the tabs off and open it up, got grinding in forward gear when it has to pull a load of any sort
Not much of a frame even when new, was it? Seemed like it wasn't much more than about 3/16" steel. Does that have a Chery engine (from China). I heard some had an 800cc Chery engine but couldn't verify it. I know some had Yanmar & Kawasaki engines. Never mind. I found that the 2011 JD XUV 825i has the Chery 800cc engine. I just wonder if that same engine is in yours.
2001 4x2 and 6x4 would have the Kawasaki fe350 or the fe290. Not sure what year they switched over but that old has the Kawasaki we have 4 of those at the camp I work at.
I was looking for the teardown on this motor. Mine frose up. Took it off and was able to break it loose again. Just wanted to get inside the damn thing to make sure there's no bearings that need replaced . Do you have a link to the book?
If you have the fe350 or fe290 engine take the springs out of the cylinder head and make sure a valve guide hasn't slid up smacking against the valve keeper if it stops in that perfect position and then try to re-fire the starter isn't strong enough to push it past it. operating too long like that will also bend the push rod. Also common on those Transmissions there's a pin that goes through the differential spider gears and the little set screw bolt at one end of the pin will slowly back out over time and eventually start hitting the ring gear. We have 4 Gators of this vintage where I work I've had to do both of the repairs I've mentioned with the valve guide being on 2 of the 4 units.
Mine did the same damn thing but broken half left me stuck in a pasture pinched inside I had to call buddy mind bringing farm jack to get me out super fun found a new frame diverted everything over and reinforce the ever living crap out of it with angle iron
Someone bought this and I have the swamp buggy they put it on. Do you want to see what you have helped create?
