I returned my 16 pro today because I couldn’t justify the price difference to keep it. My 14 pro does great and got a new battery under warranty 2 months ago so I have no reason to upgrade until a better phone comes out
Every time I thought of buying the new iPhone, I just go to the Apple Store to try it and then feel it’s just the same phone and then buy a new casing for my 14 Pro. Sometimes, we just need a new case to make it feel new lol.
just swap the battery but I am quite concerned if that'll reduce the water resistance as the adhesive might be removed while removing display and the one that's replaced gets same kind of water resistance as the one before !!! which is why I am holding it off as mine currently is at 87% !!! gets less than a day of use!!!
My 14p drastically went from 100% to 88 in the first year of usage, but surprisingly it stayed at 88% the second year with the same usage from day 1 until now 😮.
Just got my 16 Pro Max and I am unfortunately underwhelmed by the upgrade. Not much has changed between the two and I’m glad it was a free carrier upgrade. Does anyone else feel like the 16 Pro feels cheaper when holding the two in hand?
In my opinion, if you have an iPhone 14 Pro and you use it just as a regular phone, it's not necessary to upgrade to an iPhone 16 Pro. I understand upgrading if you're an influencer because the upload speed is much faster than on the 14 Pro, and of course, the camera is better. The 14 Pro is still an amazing phone!
This was my upgrade. My carrier gave me a “free” upgrade from my 14 Pro. I’m happy with the upgrade. USBC, eventually AI 😂, feels 5% lighter, looks 5% bigger. I noticed the camera snaps pictures much faster and it’s harder to get a blurry photo with moving objects. I’m going to try to hold out for an iPhone 20 now, I swear. 😅
Am I the only one who prefers the super flat screen of iPhone 14 Pro ? Way easier to install screen protectors that reach all the edges. Even the brightness since I own both is better in my 14 pro…
Hey Nick, i see that your 14 pro resulted very less cpu score in geekbench. My 14 pro shows 2655 for single core and 6849 for multi core. Thats the reason your 14 pro underperformed.. mine is a beast!!
i’m perplexed how the animations on your 14 pro are so smooth with no stutters! i’m currently on 15 and i find the A16 not even keeping up with smooth animations on 60hz display this is so weird, its the same chip here and on the same version of ios
@@jasfx7241 didn’t you guys catch what i said? it’s that the a16 is not keeping up with 60fps animations on my 60hz display but here i see the same chip seems to be keeping up over 60fps animations on a 120hz display with no stutters cause i very often see stutters and breaking animations on my 15 which really annoys me since all my previous iphone had buttery smooth ui/animations although at 60hz and oh i’ve witnessed the eye candy like feel on a promotion. so thats my confusion, a chip keeping up with more than 60+ fps animations on one and failing to do so on another. The 16 Pro Max feels like a real nice upgrade from the 14 Pro Max, much longer battery, brighter and dimmer display, camera control, bigger screen, it’s a stunning phone! Congrats
@@sameersheriff7078 I’m a mobile gamer so that’s one of the reasons I decided to upgrade (bigger display) and my battery health is at 82 so it doesn’t last very long. I always upgrade every two years anyways.
Why do you guys open apps and see which one opens faster? What's the point of that. The speed is totally almost always the same with a slight notice of 0.0001% difference. Also these tests only should include the cpu speed (for example in-games) and for example things like battery. Anything else is just plain waste of time.
This is why upgrading as an android user makes more sense. Every year you actually do sizable improvements and upgrades. Android OEMs are adding new things every year and even if it’s not enough for you, you can switch manufacturers for the right jump in specs you need. Whereas iPhone you don’t. Not saying it’s a bad thing but comparing anything newer than the iPhone 13 series to a 16 is pointless.
This video shows why you don’t need the newest IPhone. Most consumers are no where near tech reviewers so the RAM and things don’t matter. Especially when the older model phones are nearly as fast as the newest phones. And since we all on the same IOS the interface isn’t different.
is the upgrade from the 15 pro max to the 16 pro max a necessary upgrade? Some people have told me the thermals have improved, better battery which is why they upgraded. For me, the thermals are fine, unless im recording 4k 60fps for a few mins on the camera app, it doesnt get hot its gets warm which i assume its normal. Battery has been up and down on my 15pm, some days like today 11 hours total SOT with 28% left, other days sometimse it goes down faster but it gets me through my day. I don't think I am upgrading my 14 Pro Max anytime soon. It's still performing the same as when I bought it aside from the very very very occasional hiccups here and there.

@@ironchiri5251 Fr, what I’m saying. I love my iPhone 13 mini. Once I get a battery replacement I’m switching right back to it
I'm waiting for a regular iPhone with a 120hz even 90hz display
Same here, it will complete the lineup better
It’s rumored that the 17 will finally have that, which is one of the biggest reasons why buying a regular iPhone 16 is a terrible idea imo
My 14 Pro is so heavy, and bad battery life
Yea it’s heavy
One problem with iphone is hitting issues if they fix this problem
Nobody can beat iphone
2:02 the size difference looks pretty noticeable. But Is it really in real life?
In real life it feels about the same maybe slightly larger. It’s still a really nice size
Yes
Pouca diferença de duas gerações atrás! Só compensa trocar de 3 em 3 anos!
3dmark is too 14 pro about 3000-3100 points
Miss in the intro there. The 14 pro started up faster than the 16 pro.
No big difference at all
Not much of a difference 😅
Obviously in day-to-day tasks is not gonna be much difference. It’s if you’re using it for CPC intensive task like video rendering or gaming is where you see a difference. But for me, there’s enough of a difference to upgrade from the 14 pro to the 16 pro.
