Love how short and sweet this is dude! Wish is was longer! Great footage and well put together video. I need a new zoom for my Sony so I might have to pick up ol faithful.
My first ever lens was a used tamron 24-70 its taken such a beating and is still going strong! Recently got the sigma art 24-70 but its such a bulky beast, I dont love it. Beautiful images as always Cody!
@@codylarosa the Tamron isn't in great shape (lens zoom barrel slips) - so I tend to rely on the Sigma - which probably has the edge on image quality but it's just a bit more cumbersome to use - so only really use it if I'm relying on AF on my LUMIX S5 iiX
Great lens, the only thing that pushed me to the Sony was the low light autofocus and minimal difference of 24 vs 28, but that’s when I was filming weddings and events in poor lighting and I needed the af. For it to outlive a camera in a crash really says something!
Haha yes it’s a beast of a little lens, I do wish I could have just afforded the Gmmaster at the time but my tamron has served me well so I can’t complain.
Tamron lenses are dope! I've had my Tamron 17-70 f2.8 for over 2 years and it is by far my favourite APSC lens for any Sony camera I've had. That said I'm pretty sure if I ever do decide to go full frame the Tamron 28-75 is what I'll be going with as an all purpose zoom lens and this vid definitely helps me stay confident in that plan 😁
Yes it is amazing omg. I borrow my buddys every now and then and im so jealous of it. I'd just rather spend the money on some cinema glass now if i am investing that much.
really nice to see someone rooting for the cheaper options and showing that you don't need the best gear to shoot great images!
Thanks Eva, I think just getting started is the most important thing in the beginning and this lens did that for me
i have tamron 28-75 the first version (with gold ring, really old one) it still preforms awesome
Pretty underrated lenses if you ask me!
Manifesting this lens fr 😭
I believe the version 1 which is what I use should be pretty cheap. Is it still out of the budget? :(
24-70's are such an underrated lens! I've been adapting and using the Canon 24-70 2.8 ii for almost 10 years and absolutely love it. great video!
Is the canon the l series? Those lenses seem to be adored by many.

Dude I struggle at making videos over 4 minutes, I'll do one about the 17-28 that is hopefully longer. Thanks for checking it out!

Can’t wait for the video on the 17-20, what camera have you been using it on?
Initially used it on the Sony a6400, now I also use it on the FX30. It pairs really well with both@@codylarosa
👌
Thank you Sensei
Definitely a reliable lens. Have you had the chance to try out the new Sony 24-70 gm II?
