How much soot does the pit put off? I see the wok is black on the underside and I’ve been using my fire pit as a direct flame under my cast iron but it seems too sooty to cook directly or like an oven. I understand my propane bbq does not emit soot so maybe this pit runs more efficiently then my current propane pit. I look forward to hearing your expert with this one.

Propane causes soot the bottom of the wok will show it over time. When the flame is low and baking pizza there is no soot present its high flame cooking where you will notice it build up

I got mine from the expo in Flagstaff and I finally used it to make pizza... It worked great!!! Except the igniter wasn't igniting so I had to use my lighter to start it.

Too messy. Toss some Traeger pellets in it for better results
