This highly precise timepiece features a proprietary escapement, the NOMOS swing system, and a patented NOMOS date mechanism in refreshing sky blue. Ahoi neomatik 38 date sky is a mechanical watch for connoisseurs, free spirits with high aspirations, and adventurous people with style.
Gorgeous watch and I watched a Lange & Söhne factory tour video the other day and the watch maker was wearing a Nomos Ahoi
Cool both companies a only 500m away from each other, I guess if you work at A&S they don't give out a free watch to there guys :)
Beautiful watch. Looks shocking on that leather though! Great video - cheers Bazza.
Any time David 👍🏻
Hi Barry, nice one m8! I'm constantly surprised by the attention to detail that's a feature of all Nomos watches. Examples include the red band on the winding stem, the dial coloured date wheel and the neatly finished hand stack. Touches like this elevate Nomos above their price point and perceived reputation. Then they spoil it by designing those lugs. Someone with smaller wrists is pretty much condemned to limiting themselves to the smallest models. The Tangente 35mm fits my 17cm wrist perfectly. Thanks for this Barry, have a good weekend, LG Bob 🍻🥨
Yeah its a great watch but they do insist on having their long lugs , if they redesigned them they would have a killer watch on there hands I think Bob 👍🏻
Awesome watch, well reviewed. I think the date layout should have been moved in ever so slightly so that it could retain a continuous outer minute track or have the minute track printed on the date wheel itself. 😊
Thats a fair point Sir
These look great. I'll have me a Nomos one day. But the price full retail...? A bit much in my opinion. Great review, thanks.
I do love my Club Sport but I picked it up used for almost half price Matthew, The Ahoi in the video is around 3.5k
Thanks for the review! 🙂
My pleasure!
Interesting catch regarding the numerals and batons. I think it's only going to catch certain people off guard though. I had to rewind three times to see what you were talking about as far as the quirk as my mind didn't register the baton as a 1 instead of just a baton. Great review though.
It's a silly thing but I keep seeing it now lol . ps glad you liked the review
As far as the one goes, I don’t get it and I can’t see it!
thats fair enough, every time I look at it now its all I see lol
Love Nomos - understated elegance🇩🇪👍 I have skinny wrist, so I stick to their app 35mm watches. I have a Tangente Blaugold, which is supercomfy and very precise. If this one was just a tad smaller....
oh thats a nice model you have Sir 👍🏻
@@ClickSpringReview Thanks! I must admit, that I have been smitten quite badly by the "Nomos fever". And Im normally into auto chronos...🤨☺️
Its like addiction lol
And we build up castles
In the sky and in the sand
Design our own world
Ain't nobody understand
I found myself alive
In the palm of your hand
As long as we are flyin'
All this world ain't got no end
~Sky and Sand by Paul Kalkbrenner
What's that got to do with the price of cheese as are would say in the UK 🤣🤣
@@ClickSpringReview loose connection. "Sky and Sand" is a very successful german song and maybe Nomos did choose these colours and names of the Ahoi date collection on purpose. They have for this purpose a design bureau in Berlin.
@@jshwck4210 Ok I’ll have to show that to my wife as she is German 👍🏻
I really like the dial and the colour. Orange seconds hand is a nice touch. I’m a big fan of the Bauhaus aesthetic.
My sticking points are the lugs and the crown guards. So I prefer the wire lugs of the metro neomatik more
I really do believe if they changed their lug design they would sell even more watches than they do now . But still enjoy their watches
Review excellent. A bit small for me, but they do make super watches. Strap… not so much. Black Isle strap was great.
I have to show you the new strap I have from John
@@ClickSpringReview 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I can very easily unsee it. Just don’t get why it would be an issue in day-to-day use?
Just one if them things Jerry but its something you get used to
What color is that strap... black or navy blue?
I'd say very dark blue but in many lights it comes across black
If only they weren’t that vulnerable to magnetic fields. Perhaps the patents for silicon hairsprings expire and they start using that for the assortement
Ive never had a problem with my one Tim and to be fair you can pick up a demagnetiser for only £10 . I have had many watches come in for review which I've needed to demag first before placing on the timegrapher
It would look much better with tbe stainless steel bracelets they have for the neomatik
Yeah the strap doesn't match the feel of the watch I think
Would rather have without those crown guards
My favourite is still the 38mm Club Campus model
Does it have a hacking function?
Yep Frank 👍🏻
