I feel you on needing someone to help you part, that is the worse part of box braiding your own hair! The crochet method is the ONLY way I can do my braids so I appreciate watching the way other people do theirs cause I always pick up some really helpful tips that make the process easier.
Yes! I am not the best at parting so this was definitely helpful. Box braids takes a lot of gripping which I can’t seem to master. The crochet method worked the best for me.
I feel you girl, because I came on here to UA-cam university lastweek to learn how to do jumbo twist, after I was quoted a high price! I had the hair and say “f-it, I’ll do this myself!” It was much easier then I thought it would be, now I’m hooked! Lol I’ve also gained a new sense of confidence with doing my own hair! Because in 2024 we gonna figure this out on our own! No more paying for these hairstylist lavish vacation, while we are working hard all day for our coins 😂
This was really helpful. I can not braid, and my daughter has a lot of hair and likes braids. She no longer wants to go to others to get it done, as they pull too tight and she always gets tension stress blisters. This looks a bit easier for me than the rubber band method so I'm going to give it a try.
Yes, that’s the same issues I was having as well. This would be helpful when she wants braids done and do not want to go to a stylist. They charge too much anyway lol
Great method, most def will be trying! "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." -James 4:8-10 ✨
God bless you sweetheart I could give you the biggest hug ever I’ve been searching for an effective quick way to do knotless box braids on myself and you literally saved my life and my pockets ❤ . Thank you so much you da best mama. ❤
Yah ! You’re welcome ! I’m glad I can help. This method is definitely better. It will save a lot of time and your money. These prices are ridiculous now.
I'm a beginner 2 and looking for new styler for my daughter and braiding is one of the things I never got. And now I want to learn. Your hair came out nice.
This is absolutely wonderful job and explanation. I don’t have to send my little one to be tortured by sitting for such a long period of time getting braids done. Thank you!
Thank you thank you. This was nicely done and the views were nice. I started learning to braid my own hair and I can do the knot but not all of them are secure secure. I also can’t feed in at the top but can to thicken the braid. My braids come out looking like I had em for a week😢. I’m going to try this method next tho.
After doing my hair the first time I didn’t exactly like it. So ima redo it and your tips were so helpful I’m glad I watched your video. I hope I get better results this second time around. Your hair came out super cute and thanks friend definitely a struggle without assistance lol
Hi! This tutorial is very helpful! I have one question-Do I HAVE to feed in towards the bottom? I don’t feel 100% confident with doing that and I don’t want them too long if I add it towards the bottom
I’m so glad I came across this! I can’t braid at all, but I don’t want to spend $$$.&& for someone else to do and it’s not really what I want and the headaches from being to TIGHT! TFS new subscriber here😘
Exactly ! Welcome 🥰.. I’m happy that I have so many people that can relate too bc I feel that everyone around me can braid except me lol. We all have to figure out these things together.
Hang in there, I am learning as well. My first attempt pulling the hair through the latchhook as well as braiding the back was a failure. I am hanging in there and try again when I have more time. you are doing good so far. i haven't finished the video but it looks neat.
Your fabulous thanks for this video because I’ve been wanting braids but refuse to pay hundreds for someone else to do them. Plus doing the regular method irritates my scalp so I will be trying this tomorrow. ❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much for showing this method. I can plaid but was trying to add hair was my struggle. The crochet is a great idea. I’m going to attempt this soon. I’m a new subbie. Your commentary is funny 😄
Great job! I'm with you about that $200-400 that these girls are charging out of their mama's kitchen. I'm sorry. I can't do it. lol...You have inspired me. Thank you!
I love it!!! I’m going to try again when I have someone go part and braid my hair for me! I did it myself and literally every time I tried to crotchet the braiding hair through, my hair slipped apart.
This video was so helpful I will definitely try doing knotless box braids cause just like you i don't know how to braid or feed in the hair at the start of the braid so i will most definitely be trying out this method, and it cost so much money to get braids now, so if she can do them so can I, i will try again
I agree the braiding crochet method is very beneficial. I didn’t my passion twist with that method nd I didn’t really have no fall out or nun. Just shredded hair but far as that it did good
This make more sense to me. I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't feed in at the root. I can't braid at all! And my parts are horrible but free equal cute to me.
My daughter is mixed and I’m glad I came across this video bc I like doing her hair myself and I’ve always thought this style is gorgeous. My question is how long can she wear it like this?
Yes, this method should be easy for you to try on your daughter’s hair then. Also, the longevity of the hairstyle depends on how she up keeps the style. Typically 1 month is the max for me. However, I seen people keep them in longer.
Hi, I have a? Is it better to take some hair from each section of the braiding hair and then cover your own hair and then start braiding. You did that in the back of your hair. But in the front of your hair your own hair was the 3rd section of hair. I hope you understand. My hair is shoulder length. Sometimes you can see my hair with braids. NOT all braids, but a few so I end up putting gold cuffs on a few braids. I'm just looking for a technique to make the braid neat and uniform.
Sorry for the late response. This was my first time doing this technique on my hair. So in the back it was probably easier to do a certain method. In the front, I started to notice when I crocheted the braiding hair in it was a little loose. So I braided my hair with the hair starting out. I hope that makes sense too lol.
@@MochaCurlss I didn't fully understand your statement, but I will try both. Thank you for the video, I will try because I can't grip hair well or add hair the traditional way. A coworker spent 280.0 $ for her small knottless braids, but not me!!!
@@keeshawilliams8048 honestly I made this video 7 months ago. So I really don’t remember what I did. I just went back to rewatch the video and see the difference from the front and back. & girl I don’t blame you. That’s too much money to waste for it to last for 2 weeks or so.
@@MochaCurlss Also, I don't know if you have done videos on shampoos and conditioners. Do you know of shampoos and conditioners that are sulfate free, provide moisture, slip and detangling? If not can you do a few videos on product reviews for these key points that I need. ORS, had detangling shampoo with rosemary that really worked, but I think they discontinued it. I went to the website no luck, and when I find the shampoo in a store, it's expired. THANK YOU. !!!

I paid someone 250 to do small/medium braids 😩 never again this is my last time paying someone to do my hair I am so disappointed in myself because I could of did it for free. She did a ok job just not to my standards, so lesson learned. NEVER AGAIN

They have 3 way mirrors
You need two mirrors one in the back one in front you it’s easy
I feel like this method works best for LESSSSSSSSSS hair breakage, since the braid isn’t hanging directly from the root. Thank you!

Beautiful and thank you for video. Im going to try to do this style but I am concerned with pulling the hair in correctly.
Beautiful! Ok, let’s figure out how to do this with the pre braided pre looped crochet hair so we don’t have to get a sore back.
Crochet the natural hair into the pre-braided hair.

Beautiful, Love it🌷☺️
So good 😍😍
Did i end up using all three packs of braiding hair?
Is it easier with the braids first of rubber band
I don’t know how to braid either with braiding hair too ❤❤❤❤❤❤

how much packs of hair did you use?

What is the length of the hair?

No, it was easy to remove.
Crotchet or rubberband, which one easier😭
