I live in a small, predominantly white, town. I'm also a Mother of a beautiful curly gurly who desperately wants braids so here I am lol. I was able to order Kenekolan hair online and have been studying UA-cam videos to try to learn a technique that is easy to understand. Thank you so much for making this video!!! I absolutely love this method and can't wait to get to work! Other videos I've found have made me feel so intimidated. The way you have explained this has me wanting to learn so much more! Thanks again! New subscriber!!! 💖

Proud of you White-but-woke Mama! When I was a kid all the mixed girls had such struggle hair until they were old enough to do it themselves becajse the moms didn't have resources and youtube wasnt teally a thing in the early 2000s. But you taking the TIME to embrace your daughter with our shared culture is GOALS! You go mama!

hi! I really appreciate that you showed a method that prevents slipping on short hair! i did a big chop recently and my hair is 2 inches and ive been looking into getting box braids but was afraid i would pay a lot of money just for them to fall out so quickly or not be able to be put in at all! i'm going to TRY doing my hair myself at home and if this works than amazing and thank you so much and if it doesnt im going to try going to a salon maybe my hair will be long enough for a different method (corn rows with weave)

No tension or stress on the scalp or edges. I do mine by myself and my hair is actually growing back (post COVID)❤

I wish I was closer to you my hair is long and thick only thing I sit to is leaving it out n bushy or ponytail am so sick of messing with hair but am trying to learn to braid. I can cornrow well but I dont like cornrow for braids in my hair in particular buc for me I dont like how they lay. I do however like the Individual braid BUT it would take tooo long for me to do.
